Chapter 396: Dark Purple, Not Red!
Seven Sins System Chapter 396. Dark Purple, Not Red!
“Damn! This place is so cool!” muttered one of the goons.
“As expected of the great leader,” chimed in another, a grin stretching across his face.
The driver, reveling in his superiority, couldn’t resist a taunt. “Is this your first time here?” he jeered, his smug smile evident in his voice. “Pathetic.”
“Shut up!” retorted one of the goons.
“Give us some slack and let us be happy for a while!” protested another.
“He gave us different assignments,” added one of his companions.
The driver responded with a dismissive snort. It was clear that he enjoyed lording his perceived superiority over his companions.
I had to confess the idea of using a large company building as a hiding place was undeniably clever. No one would suspect that such a prominent establishment could be associated with a heretical cult involved in kidnapping.
It was proof that the people behind this thing had serious money and power. This wasn’t some half-baked operation run by random street punks—whoever was backing it had deep pockets, real influence, and way more authority than I was comfortable with.
The size of the building alone said everything—it was clear the people running this secret operation had serious pull. It was a harsh reminder of just how far some folks are willing to go to chase their goals… and how much they’ll cover up to keep their dirty work hidden.
I expected it to come to a halt in that basement. However, to my surprise, it bypassed the parking area altogether and proceeded deeper into the building.
The car came to a stop in a designated area within the building. The driver rolled down the window shield and engaged in a peculiar exchange with a guard stationed nearby.
What struck me as odd was the language they used – it wasn’t the usual mortal tongue, but rather a strange and cryptic code. Their conversation didn’t flow like a typical interaction; instead, it seemed to consist of coded phrases.
The guard nodded in response to the driver’s coded communication, his expression serious. It was clear that whatever message had been conveyed held significance.
It was frustrating not being able to understand the intricacies of the coded language being used. However, I resolved to learn it if necessary – after all, every advantage counted.
The under-construction area sign swung open with a creak, revealing a dimly lit pathway leading deeper into the building. The sign swung shut behind us, we continued along the route.
Unlike the elaborate secret entrances often depicted in spy movies, this entrance was anything but glamorous. There were no hidden switches or high-tech security measures; it was simply a practical solution for accessing the lower levels of the building while construction work was underway.
The van descended further underground, navigating the winding path with ease. The surroundings grew dimmer as we delved deeper into the bowels of the building, the only illumination coming from the headlights of the vehicle.
Eventually, we reached the lower level parking lot, a vast expanse of concrete bordered by rows of pillars. The atmosphere here was noticeably quieter compared to the upper levels, with no parked cars and less activity.
The loading dock area, in particular, appeared deserted, its cavernous space devoid of the usual hustle and bustle associated with such areas.
The van came to a halt in the dimly lit underground parking lot, but instead of immediately disembarking, we were greeted by a group of individuals dressed in tailored suits.
It was clear from their demeanor that they were not ordinary henchmen, but rather individuals of higher status within the organization.
What really caught my eye, though, were the masks they were wearing. They looked like devilish faces, all detailed with cool designs and stuff.
But what really bugged me was the color of them. They were mostly red, which is a color that screams my father, the devil king. As his son and the rightful heir to the underworld throne, it honestly pissed me off to see them rocking my dad’s color like it was nothing.
‘If you claim as my followers, you should wear dark purple, not red!’ I complained internally. It was the color that symbolized my authority and power.
Inside, I was fuming. How dare they act like my followers when they couldn’t even respect something as basic as my identity? It was a total sign of how incompetent they were and how unworthy they were to serve me.
‘I wonder what they will do if I expose real identity,’ I thought, contemplating the idea.
It was tempting, for sure—a way to show who’s in charge and make anyone who dared cross me think twice. But then again, what would it really do? I’d tried that before, and Gem and the others turned their backs on me, calling me a fake. Revealing my true identity now would just fall on deaf ears, making it a wasted effort.
What was clear, though, was my main goal. I needed to figure out who was behind this whole mess. The Dark Crystal and how it was getting passed around their crew—once I cracked that, I’d be in a better position to put an end to their shady plans.

But for now, I had to bide my time and tread carefully. Revealing my true identity prematurely could jeopardize my chances of uncovering the truth. I needed to play the long game, gathering information and piecing together the puzzle until I had enough evidence to confront their leader head-on.
