Seven Sins System - Chapter 421
Chapter 421: Mission Completed II
Seven Sins System Chapter 421. Mission Completed II
The guards worked frantically. I watched them with smug satisfaction.
Finally, the lead guard looked up at me, his face still pale and eyes wide with lingering terror.
“It’s finished, sir,” he said, his voice barely steady.
“Great,” I replied with a sinister smile. But I wasn’t about to let them off that easily.
With a flick of my wrist, I activated my Hypnosis skill. Their eyes glazed over as the spell took hold, and I implanted a vague, foggy memory of this entire encounter. They would remember enough to keep them on edge.
Without another word, I used my Teleportation skill to return to the previous room.
Puriel was already there, tending to the unconscious girls. Her head snapped up, her eyes widening in shock as she saw me.
For a brief moment, she thought I was the great leader. Her body tensed, ready to react. But then recognition dawned in her eyes, and she realized it was just me.
“What did you do?” she asked, a mix of relief and irritation in her voice.
I shrugged nonchalantly.
“Just cleaning up the mess,” I stated.
Puriel frowned, her brows knitting together in a way that made her look both stern and concerned.
“What do you mean?”
“I only took care of the CCTV,” I replied casually. As I spoke, I canceled my Camouflage skill, my form shifting back to its original state.
I approached her, smirking.
“Don’t worry, I didn’t torture them like these guys,” I said, gesturing to the crippled goons scattered across the floor.
Their twisted forms still writhed slightly.
I leaned in closer to Puriel, my voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “I just made them delete the footage and, let’s say, made them a little scared.”
She frowned deeper, her disapproval evident.
“So typical of you,” she muttered.
I couldn’t help but smile wider. “Thank you,” I said, straightening up. The casual arrogance in my tone was impossible to miss.
“Now, let’s take care of the others. We have a long list to slaughter.”
Her frown deepened, eyes narrowing.
“Punish, not slaughter,” she corrected sharply.
I waved my hand dismissively. “Yeah, yeah, yeah, same thing,” I said nonchalantly. With a flick of my wrist, I opened a swirling, dark portal to our next destination.
Puriel sighed as she stepped through the portal. I followed her.
The next six hours were a whirlwind of chaos, violence, and grim efficiency.
With a dark thrill coursing through my veins, I opened portals to our targets one by one. We didn’t linger at any location for more than fifteen minutes.
Our first priority was always the great leader. As soon as we arrived, I would use my tentacles to ensnare him, reading his mind to gather any useful information.

This was followed by a thorough beatdown of the goons who dared to stand in our way. I unleashed my fury, my tentacles lashing out.
Puriel, meanwhile, moved through the chaos, healing the victims and guiding them to safety.
In each place, we found dark crystals, the source of the cult’s power and influence. I snatched them up and ate them.
With every crystal we collected, I felt my own power growing, my level increasing rapidly. It was a heady rush, the double benefit of weakening our enemies while strengthening myself.
There were six great leaders in total, each one falling into my tentacle clutches by the end of our blitz.
They were all the same—arrogant, deluded fools who thought they could play with dark forces and come out unscathed.
The lesser targets, the chiefs and their subordinates, were easier to handle. These small-time players were given a punishment similar to the first goons we encountered. I took a nice satisfaction in watching my wrath tentacles twist and cripple their bodies, ensuring they would never forget the price of their sins.
By the end of our mission, we had left a trail of broken bodies.
The great leaders, now my captives, were dragged back to my realm through a final portal. There, I would make them my puppets, free slaves to do my bidding just like those who had come before them.
The dawn was just beginning to break as I opened my portal back to my dorm. The sky was painted in shades of deep blue and purple, signaling the end of a long, grueling mission.
It was past four in the morning when we arrived. My body felt the exhaustion creeping in, but there was also a lingering buzz of satisfaction.
We had done it. We had completed the mission. At least, it should be done for me.
Puriel, however, remained silent. She didn’t say a word to me as she stood there, her eyes distant and her expression unreadable.
It was unusual for her. I watched her, waiting for something—anything—but she just gave me a sad, almost resigned look before turning away.
“Puriel?” I called out, but she didn’t respond.
She simply used her teleportation skill, and her figure disappeared. It was strange, her leaving like that. She usually had something to say, some comment or admonition, but this time she left in silence.
“Why did she put that face?” I grumbled to myself, staring at the spot where she had stood moments before.
“Just imagine if we went back to the past, and we did the same things as we did then.”
Her words from earlier echoed in my head. There was a time when things were simpler between us, when we didn’t know each other’s true identities, when we were just two beings having fun, exploring the mortal realm.

Chapter 422: You Aren’t The Only One
Seven Sins System Chapter 422. You Aren’t The Only One
Those words lingered in my mind.
I turned to the window, watching the first light of dawn creep across the horizon.
“What makes you want to go back that badly?” I muttered to myself.
But the real question was deeper, more perplexing.
Why does she insist on making this strange relationship between us work? I couldn’t wrap my head around it.
I clicked my tongue in irritation and tried to shake off the thoughts, to refocus on the mission I had just completed. This mission was supposed to be the end of my troubles, the final nail in the coffin that would prevent any more demons from breaking through the shadow realm.
With this, no one would be able to accuse me of incompetence or treachery ever again.
My mind drifted to the future, imagining my return to my palace. I could see it clearly. The lavish halls, the opulence that surrounded me.
I would have all my women with me. My life would be one of luxury and indulgence, just as it should be. And now, with the addition of new assistants—those leaders now reduced to puppets—I wouldn’t even have to lift a finger. They would handle my affairs, ensuring everything ran smoothly while I basked in my well-deserved hedonism.
It was perfect. This was the reason I had been in such a rush. And I did. Now, with this behind me, I could finally relax.
But there was still Puriel. The angels were her problem, not mine. I had no desire to meddle in their affairs. Let her deal with the consequences, the cleanup. It was fine by me.
“Well… maybe I should stay here a little longer until I get all the ingredients I need to make Baelthor’s potion,” I muttered to myself, pacing the room. The potion was crucial, and the ingredients were rare, only obtainable through Puriel.
That, deep inside, was probably another reason for me to stay here longer. It wasn’t like I had any affection for this pathetic mortal realm. No, it was purely practical.
But as much as I tried to rationalize it, Puriel’s sad face kept intruding on my thoughts. And I didn’t understand why it bother me.
I shook my head vigorously, trying to dislodge the persistent image.
“I should report this great news to Dad,” I muttered, eager to divert my mind to something else, something that made sense.
I reached into the drawer of my desk and pulled out my phone. I glanced at my double, who was sprawled out on my bed, snoring softly.
Ignoring him, I began typing the necessary information for my report, providing detailed evidence of the mission’s success. The captured leaders, the dismantled operations, the dark crystals—it all needed to be documented.
I knew I should call my father directly, but I was exhausted.
The mission had taken its toll, and all I wanted now was a few hours of sleep. I sent the report, attached the evidence, and put the phone down on the mini table by my bed.
The screen’s soft glow dimmed, plunging the room back into semi-darkness. I turned my attention to my double.
With a snap, he dissolved into a tentacle, slithering back into my body.
Without further ado, I began stripping off my clothes. My jacket hit the floor first, followed by my shirt, pants, and finally my underwear. The cool air of the room brushed against my bare skin. The thought of a bath crossed my mind, but the fatigue was too overpowering. It could wait until morning.
I dropped onto my bed without a second thought, feeling the soft mattress.
Before I could drift off to sleep, I felt a familiar sensation—a pair of eyes watching me. I glanced towards the window and, sure enough, there she was.
Puriel stood on the rooftop of the female dorm building. It looked like she was keeping an eye on the surroundings, but I knew better. Her attention was fixed on me.
A smirk tugged at the corner of my lips.
‘Pervert,’ I thought, amused.
I turned fully to face her, laying on my side with my head propped up by my hand. My other hand’s index finger moved in a slow, beckoning motion, inviting her to join me. It was a challenge.
Puriel noticed my gesture, and even from this distance, I could see her face flush with embarrassment.
Her eyes widened, and she seemed to hesitate, caught between her instincts and the emotions she couldn’t quite suppress.
But instead of accepting my silent invitation, she looked away, turning her head sharply.
A moment later, she disappeared.
The smirk vanished from my lips, replaced by a cold, contemplative gaze. Of course, what I did was a prank. I knew her answer even before I made the gesture. It was a game, this dance of push and pull.
“You aren’t the only one with a dilemma, Puriel. I too… feel the same as you,” I muttered to the empty room.
The words felt strange on my tongue. They felt heavy and bitter. My pride was too immense to fully admit it, yet here I was, acknowledging all of it like nothing.
