Chapter 1451: Seeds of Life (1)
As expected, it was Vivrum that appeared.
It wasn’t strange that she would appear in a place like this.
In fact, this might be one of the few places that she would actually be able to appear in this world.
The others would be the main church of the Holy Empire and under the Tree of Life, it would be impossible for her to appear anywhere else.
After all, there was no other place that had enough energy to support her descent into this world.
It was only here and those places that there was enough energy to support her appearing.
Though it still didn’t explain why there was this much life energy here.
The one thing that I was certain of was that this life energy definitely had something to do with Vivrum.
Only something related to Vivrum would be able to generate this level of life energy.
But she had told me that she knew nothing about this place…
Why would she lie about this?
“It’s not as if I wanted to lie about this place, it’s just that this is a place that I can’t talk about. Or rather, it’s better to say that this is a place that I’ve completely sealed off and no one should have been allowed to enter this place.” Vivrum said after reading my mind.
A faint bitter smile appeared on my face when I heard this.
No matter how many times I’ve experienced it, I still couldn’t get used to the fact that gods could read minds…
It really wasn’t something that one would think about since it wasn’t as if one came in contact with gods that often.
But at this point…with how often that I’ve interacted with the gods, one might think that I would remember something as basic as this.
Instead of letting myself dwell on this, I asked, “What do you mean a place that you’ve sealed off that no one should be allowed to enter? Just what is in this place?”
This time, Vivrum didn’t answer right away.
It was as if she was hesitating over what to say next.
For something that even a god hesitated over, there was no doubt that this was something serious.
There was a part of me that was truly curious just what this thing was.
But in the end, Vivrum finally said, “It’s a taboo.”
“Taboo?” I couldn’t help repeating in a confused voice.
It was just that Vivrum once again fell silent as if she didn’t want to talk about it.
However, even if she didn’t want to talk about it, it wasn’t as if I was going to leave that easily. I had to make sure that whatever was in this place wasn’t a threat, so I had to at least see with my own eyes what this taboo was.
“If I just tell you, will you leave things as they are?” Vivrum suddenly asked this question.
I was surprised to hear this, but I eventually shook my head in response.
Even though it was a request from Vivrum, I couldn’t agree that easily. After all, the implications of this were just too serious to leave matters as they were.
“Fine, I’ll show you what it is and explain it to you, but you have to promise to leave once you’re done.”
“As long as they pose no threat to the rest of the world.” I said in a firm voice.

There was a tense silence that lingered in the air, but eventually Vivrum gave a nod before turning around and waving her hand for us to follow her.
I started following her, but I saw that Aisha was just standing there in a daze as she looked at the figure of green light. It was as if she was completely lost in shock as she looked at Vivrum.
I had to go over and wave my hand in front of her face before she slowly came back to her senses.
But even though she came back to her senses, the first thing that she looked at wasn’t me.
The first thing that she commented on was…
“Are you Lady Vivrum?”
Vivrum turned around to look at Aisha before saying, “I am.”
Then Aisha turned to look at me before slowly asking, “And this is the way that you’re talking to Lady Vivrum?”
I was a bit surprised to hear this before slowly realizing what she meant by this.
When I did realize this, there was a faint smile that appeared on my lips.
Unlike normal people, I just didn’t have the reverent tone when it came to talking with gods.
It was because of the many different times that I’ve interacted with the gods that I’ve already gotten used to talking to them like this. After all, they never seemed to mind that I talked to them like this, so I didn’t think anything of it.
At the same time, I wasn’t someone from this world in the first place.
Even if they were gods, it wasn’t as if they were gods that I believed in…
So it really was hard for me to really grasp the fact that they were gods and treat them with respect like everyone else did.
However, I understood why this was strange in the eyes of Aisha.
I was even worried that she would be angry with me that I was talking to the god that she worshipped like this.
But in the end, it was Vivrum who said, “It’s fine, he’s different. He’s the one that we’ve chosen, so he can speak freely to us.”
Aisha revealed a very strange and disturbed look when she heard this.
That look on her face was almost as if her world was collapsing.
I couldn’t help shaking my head with a bitter smile before saying, “Couldn’t you have put this more gently?”
Vivrum didn’t say anything else as she turned around and waved her hand at us as if she wanted us to follow.
So the only thing that I could do was guide Aisha who was still standing there with a stunned look on her face as we followed Vivrum.
