Chapter 1461: Seems feasible
Both the High Priestess and the god that she served were asking me to start a coup in the Elven Kingdom, only it wasn’t as if it was that easy to start a coup.

After all, there was no guarantee that it would work.

At the same time, this was a tense time for both the elves and the humans.

Doing something like this would only cause problems since it would weaken the elves as a whole.

“It’s not just the two of us, there are plenty of elves who have already become sick of the Elven King’s rule. You should know what kind of race the elves are, so it isn’t as if they would take something like this lying down.”

Vivrum’s sudden interjection caused a faint smile to appear on my face.

No matter how many times she did it, I really couldn’t get used to the fact that she and the other gods could read minds.

Instead of giving an answer, I turned to look at the High Priestess.

It wasn’t that I didn’t believe what Vivrum said, it was just that I wanted to hear this from the High Priestess instead. What I wanted were the specifics, or namely just how many people had been gathered by the High Priestess for this rebellion.

After all, if I was to do this, I would naturally want all the information that I could get.

The High Priestess looked at Vivrum and only spoke after seeing the nod from her.

“It’s not just the high level members of the Vivrum Religion that support this, many of the common elves also support this. As long as your majesty is willing to show your support, then we will be able to take action right away.”

“Just the common elves?” I asked instead of giving a positive response.

The High Priestess seemed to hesitate a bit before she suddenly said with a nod, “That’s right. Most of the high elves have already been corrupted by the Elven King to a certain extent since they spend most of their time with the Elven King. They learn all kinds of different things from the Elven King, which has led to them being corrupted by greed as well.”

“Then do you think that they will be able to revert back in the end?”

This time, neither the High Priestess or Vivrum said anything.

With how silent they were, it really didn’t seem like they were confident in this at all.

But then the High Priestess added, “If you hadn’t come, we wouldn’t have been certain. However, with you being here and bringing Aisha with you, we’re much more confident in this.”

“Aisha? What does she have to do with this?” I couldn’t help asking with one brow raised.

With a sigh, Vivrum said, “Aisha was the one child that I blessed, but the Elven Kingdom has hurt her too much. I let her go because I wanted to make it up to her, but…” She seemed to trail off for a bit before finally saying, “With the bloodline that she has, she is more than qualified to take his place as the Elven King. When the time comes, she will be able to restore the Elven Kingdom to the way that it’s supposed to be.”

As if there was a faint smile on her face, Vivrum said, “That’s just the kind of elf that she is.”

It was almost like how one would talk about a child that they loved with the way that Vivrum said this.

But I still deeply knitted my brows as I asked, “Even though it’s the cause of her pain?”

Vivrum didn’t say anything at first, but then she said, “It’s the only way to make it up to her.”

I still had my brows deeply knitted as I looked at Vivrum, but I didn’t reject what Vivrum said.

After all, her words did have a hint of truth to them.

If it wasn’t for the fact that the Elven Kingdom had done all those things to Aisha, then she wouldn’t have become the person that she was now. But that also meant that there were certain things that only Aisha could fix.

These were things that she had to do for herself or she would be filled with regret.

After a long silence, I turned to look at the High Priestess and asked, “How many high elves do you have on your side? And how many high elves will stand down if Aisha gets involved?”

The High Priestess was surprised to hear this, but after knitting her brows a bit to think, she said, “At least half of the high elves on their side won’t get involved. They aren’t deeply corrupted enough that they would follow the Elven King to the end. As for our side, we have a third of the high elves that would follow the Elven King.”

No matter how one looked at this, it really seemed like dire straits for the side of the High Priestess.

That was if…

“Will you get involved?” I turned to ask Vivrum this.

Vivrum didn’t answer right away as she stood there with her head down. It was almost as if she was considering something with the way that she stood there.

It wasn’t hard to imagine what she was considering since the elves were her followers and the ones that she loved the most.

To ask her this was basically asking her to harm the ones that she saw as her children.

But in the end…

“I will.” Vivrum looked back up and said this in a firm voice.

It seemed that she had come to a decision with the way that she said this and when she saw that I wasn’t saying anything, she added, “I’ll do whatever is necessary to nip this bud here and now.”

With that, I gave a nod in response before saying, “Then I guess that this is feasible after all. For now, tell me what plans you have and I’ll give some suggestions based on what I think.”
