Chapter 358: The Goals Of This Meeting
A few moments after the delegates settled down, the portal shifted slightly, and Xu Qianghua entered the subspace.
Right behind him were Bai Lingyun, Liu Meiying, and Li Xinyue, all walking with calm confidence. The mood instantly shifted, and everyone turned to look at them.
Xu Qianghua wore dark blue robes with a faint silver trim, looking sharp but not overly flashy. His short black hair was neat, and his gaze steady but approachable.
He had a natural authority, but he didn’t seem to be trying too hard to show it off. He gave the room a slight smile, his expression warm enough to ease some of the tension.
Bai Lingyun followed with her usual elegance. Her long white hair swayed lightly as she walked, and her violet eyes carried a playful sparkle.
She wore a simple crimson dress that fit her perfectly without being over the top, and her confident steps showed she was completely at ease.
Next was Liu Meiying, whose soft green robes had subtle floral patterns that made her look serene and approachable.
Her bun hairstyle was neat but not stiff, and her calm expression made her seem like someone who could solve problems without breaking a sweat.
Lastly, Li Xinyue, dressed in a deep indigo gown, looked as composed as ever. Her silver eyes glanced briefly around the room as if taking in every detail, but there was nothing intimidating about it.
Her hair was tied back loosely, giving her a relaxed vibe despite her scholarly reputation.
Xu Qianghua stopped near the table, his voice cutting through the murmurs. “Thank you all for coming today.
We’ve got a lot to discuss, and I’m glad to see so many familiar and new faces here.” He gave a slight nod, gesturing for everyone to stay seated.
“Please, let’s keep this casual. No need for formalities.”
That small comment seemed to put everyone at ease. The tension that had been in the room melted away a bit as the delegates nodded politely.
Xu Qianghua sat down at the head of the table, with Bai Lingyun, Liu Meiying, and Li Xinyue on either side. He glanced at the group with a friendly smile.
“Before we dive in, let’s take a moment to introduce ourselves. I’m Xu Qianghua, head of the Xu family, and these are Bai Lingyun, Liu Meiying, and Li Xinyue.”
Bai Lingyun gave the room a small, charming smile.
Liu Meiying waved a graceful hand.
Li Xinyue simply nodded, her expression neutral.
Seeing this, all the others started introducing themselves, starting with the Crown Prince of the Northern Frost Empire. “I am Lin Yu, Crown Prince of the Northern Frost Empire. It’s an honor to attend this meeting and see the head of the famous Xu family for the first time.”
Next came Feng Yuxuan of the Feng family, who spoke clearly and confidently. “Feng Yuxuan of the Feng family from the Eastern Continent. We appreciate the Xu family’s hospitality and look forward to working together.”
Lei Zhentian from the Lei family followed. His gruff voice filled the space as he said, “Lei Zhentian of the Lei family from the Western Continent. We’re here to lend our strength and see how we can stand united.”
Hu Liwei of the Fox Clan and Tian Meifeng of the Snake Clan spoke next. Both women seemed composed, and even though they had known each other for a few days earlier, they did not show it, as this was a formal setting.
“Hu Liwei of the Fox Clan, and Tian Meifeng of the Snake Clan. We’re grateful for the opportunity to participate in this gathering.”
Soon, all the other representatives from different families, Sects, and Empires started introducing themselves, and Xu Qianghua politely responded to each and every one of them, giving the representatives a better impression of the most mysterious family head.
“Thank you, everyone, for taking the time to be here today. This meeting is an important step in bringing our families closer together, and I’m honored to have you all join us.”
He paused for a moment, looking around to make sure everyone was paying attention. “You’ve all seen the recent events—the Insect invasion was just the beginning.
They’re not going to stop with one attack, and we need to be ready. This meeting is about two things: speeding up the planet’s development and preparing a united defense against external threats.”
The room was silent for a moment as everyone processed his words. Some delegates exchanged glances while others leaned back in their chairs, their expressions thoughtful.
“I know it sounds off, as we have not had any actual conflicts externally and internally,” Xu Qianghua continued, his tone steady. “But this isn’t just about defending ourselves. It’s about creating a powerful force that will be the sword and the shield of Nexara.

And as you have seen with this recent Insect invasion, who call themselves the Zerg, there are many other races out there, both good and bad, so we need a powerful force to repel them.”
Feng Yuxuan nodded slowly. “The idea of a united defense is appealing, but it’s also complicated. How do you propose we manage something on this scale?”
Xu Qianghua met his gaze calmly. “The Xu family is willing to be the first family to contribute towards this project with the resources, the infrastructure, and the experience to handle it. But we can’t do it alone as that would take too long.”
Hu Liwei leaned forward slightly, her golden eyes sharp. “And what about these Zerg monsters? What’s the Xu family’s plan for dealing with them?”
“We’ve gathered detailed intelligence,” Xu Qianghua replied, “and we have strategies in place.
I’ll discuss them in this meeting and also discuss how to upgrade this world so that we can raise the upper limit of our cultivation, which will help us deal with external threats and internal issues.
Our plan is to form a council to manage the project, consisting of representatives from each continent and race. This will give us the flexibility to make decisions quickly, and the Xu family will act as the main coordinator.
But I want you all to understand something: the process is going to be complex and demanding. We can’t rush it, and we’ll need your support and participation every step of the way.
The delegates were quiet for a moment, taking in his words. Many seemed skeptical, but a few nodded slowly, their expressions thoughtful.
