Chapter 386: The Battle Begins Again
And so, after taking a quick shower and changing into fresh clothes, Xu Qianghua took the girls with him and headed toward the massive floating stadium, where the second stage of the competition was about to begin.
The moment they arrived, the excitement in the air was palpable. Compared to yesterday, the stadium had expanded significantly, its sheer size making it even more impressive.
Suspended high above the city, the entire structure seemed to shimmer under the morning sun.
The protective formations that covered the stadium gleamed faintly, reinforcing the immense power contained within the arena.
Thousands of spectators packed the stands, their chatter and cheers reverberating throughout the entire stadium.
This is because the seating areas had been adjusted to accommodate the overwhelming number of spectators.
Multiple floating holographic screens had been set up all around the stadium to ensure that even those seated at the farthest edges could watch the fights clearly.
This was particularly beneficial for those without strong cultivation, as their eyesight wouldn’t limit their experience.
Xu Qianghua and the ladies made their way to the special VIP box, where the rest of the group was already waiting.
Bai Lingyun, Liu Meiying, and Li Xinyue were seated comfortably, chatting amongst themselves while observing the growing crowd below.
“Good morning, ladies,” Xu Qianghua greeted as he stepped inside, his usual calm smile in place.
“Good morning, husband,” Bai Lingyun responded with a smirk, patting the seat next to her. “You’re late.”
“We were freshening up,” An Zhihao said as she hoped her way to a seat, giving Xu Qianghua a teasing look.
The ladies chuckled, and Xu Qianghua shook his head with amusement before taking a seat. Just as he settled down, a voice rang through the stadium.
“Welcome back, everyone!” Elder Xu Yong’s voice boomed across the arena. “Today, we continue with the second stage of the Jingzhong City Competition!”
The audience roared, the air filled with excitement.
Elder Xu Yong chuckled and waved a hand, silencing the crowd.
“As you all know, the first round saw fierce battles, and now, only 200 competitors remain! Today, we will witness them battle until only 100 remain!”
Another round of applause sounded, and Elder Xu Yong nodded, pleased.
“To ensure fair and intense fights, we have expanded the combat arenas! The dueling platforms have been enlarged, allowing for more movement and strategic combat.”
At his words, several floating stone platforms rose from the center of the stadium, each glowing with formation markings.
“Additionally, to enhance your viewing experience, more projection screens have been installed! Whether you are sitting in the stands or watching from public viewing locations, you will not miss a single moment of the action!”
As he spoke, the projections flashed brightly, and the crowd cheered once more.
Elder Xu Yong laughed, his voice echoing throughout the entire arena.
“Now, let’s go over the format for today’s matches,” Xu Yong continued. “The same rules apply—each fight is one-on-one, and a contestant wins if their opponent is knocked out, concedes, or if the judges deem them unable to continue.”
Several judges, including high-level cultivators from the Xu family, were stationed around the stadium, ready to oversee the battles and ensure fairness.
“And finally,” Elder Xu Yong declared, “let us begin the second stage!”
With his announcement, the first round of duels began.
The first few fights were exciting, with intense battles and clever tactics. However, they lacked the excitement of the previous day.

After all, with the lower-tier contestants eliminated, there were far fewer powerful fighters to watch.
Still, the crowd cheered and shouted encouragement as the battles unfolded, and the energy in the arena was palpable.
Finally, after the initial matches, a new match began.
It was a battle between Qiao Heng and Feng Wushuang.
The crowd erupted with cheers and excited murmurs.
“Qiao Heng, the body cultivator from the Qiao family!”
“And Feng Wushuang, the sword prodigy from the Feng family!”
The two competitors stepped onto the arena, their eyes locked in a fierce stare-down. Qiao Heng was built like a fortress, his muscular frame radiating raw physical power. His fists were wrapped tightly, and his stance was that of someone who could take a direct hit from a mountain and keep going.
Feng Wushuang, in contrast, had a refined elegance. His sword rested lightly in his hand, his posture relaxed yet razor-sharp. The aura around him flickered subtly, a sign of his profound control over sword energy.
The main judge for that arena raised his hand and then swiftly brought it down. “Begin!”
In an instant, Qiao Heng launched himself forward like a battering ram, his fist glowing with golden Qi.
“Titan’s Fist!” he roared, throwing a devastating punch toward Feng Wushuang.
Feng Wushuang didn’t move immediately. At the last possible second, he sidestepped with uncanny speed, his sword flashing out.
“Silent Fang.”
A thin streak of light arced toward Qiao Heng’s exposed side. It was so fast and subtle that Qiao Heng didn’t even notice until the attack hit him, cutting deep into his side.
The impact sent Qiao Heng stumbling, blood coming from the wound. He clutched his side and growled, his eyes blazing.
But before anyone could say anything, the wound slowly closed, and the flesh began to regenerate. In a matter of seconds, the wound was completely healed.
“You think a little cut is enough to stop me?” Qiao Heng sneered.
Feng Wushuang narrowed his eyes, his blade dancing once again.
The two exchanged blows, their attacks clashing violently. However, Qiao Heng’s raw strength and power proved to be an equal match for Feng Wushuang’s skill and technique.
Each clash created shockwaves, but none of the audience could feel it as the layers of formations were protecting them.
Eventually, the two pulled apart, breathing heavily.
“Hmph, you’re not bad,” Qiao Heng said, cracking his knuckles. “But it’ll take more than that to beat me!”
Feng Wushuang scoffed, twirling his blade casually.
“I could say the same for you.”
The battle raged on, the two evenly matched. Qiao Heng’s brutal strikes were countered by Feng Wushuang’s lightning-fast attacks, and their skills were on full display.
Finally, after a series of fierce exchanges, Feng Wushuang landed a decisive strike, knocking Qiao Heng out of the ring.
The crowd roared, and the judges awarded the victory to Feng Wushuang.
Qiao Heng gritted his teeth and walked off the stage, his face filled with frustration and humiliation.
