Chapter 278: Meeting the florist
The wedding preparations were underway, and Silva immediately became busy. He woke up the next morning after a night’s rest, and right outside his door, Lily was waiting for him.
He opened the door, saw her, and gave out a tired sigh. “Is it time to start already?” he asked.
“Yes, you are the one that wanted to have a wedding for your brother, so you’ll have to get everything done to the best level possible,” Lily said.
“Fine, give me five minutes to get ready,” Silva said and returned to the room. He changed out of his current clothes into something simple.
A black shirt and black pants. He put on his shoes and then used his mana to cleanse his body entirely.
“This should work for now,” he said and walked out of the room. Lily was still outside waiting for him. She handed him a piece of paper.
“That list has everything you’ll be needing today and every place you’ll be going to. It’s not hard to find what we need since every business is handled by the crown.
But you have been busy, and so you don’t know about all the new businesses and new locations that we have set up.
Our first order of the day in respect to the wedding is the flowers. We will need a huge amount of them for the decorations.
There’s a list of flowers needed, all in accordance with the bride’s taste—about a total of eight variations of flowers.
I spent some time working on how to make all of them work together beautifully, and though I have the mental image, I need to see what we are working with. That’s why we are headed there now,” Lily explained carefully.
“I see. So we have to pay a visit to the florist, I’m guessing. But I don’t think one florist would have the amount we need for it. I’m guessing it’s a really huge amount,” Silva said as he looked at the paper.
“Yes, and that’s why we sent messages to them to meet at the city hall. You’ll be having some other meetings there later in the day as well.
We will meet with the main florist in the city and discuss with them to see how we can get that amount of flowers—fresh and of the best quality,” Lily explained.
“I see. But can’t I delegate someone to go on my behalf? I don’t really feel like talking to them,” Silva said.
“You have to. Even if this kingdom works based on the rules of the crown, asking a group of florists to gather that huge amount of flowers on short notice is a big ask.
So your presence there is needed because then they’ll have to do it as a favor for the king since he came in person to ask them.
Though we could easily just command them to do it, be a dictator, and get what you want. But we both know that’s not the type of ruling you want—it leads to troubles that are distracting,” Lily said.
“Fine, fine, I’ll go and see them,” Silva said. They made it out of the castle, and a carriage was already waiting for them.
The coachman came down quickly and opened the door of the carriage for both of them while bowing his head.
Silva got into the carriage and sat down, while Lily sat opposite him.
He noticed something as the coachman closed the door and started their journey.
“You guys didn’t set up any security detail today. That’s weird,” he said.
He had become so used to them always wanting to keep him safe regardless of what he wanted.
“Yes and no at the same time. We have shadows placed around all your routes today, watching and guarding from the shadows.
We would like to keep the public’s mind at ease as you go about, but we can’t leave you without security, especially now that we have a hero and a demon king in the castle.
No one knows what stunts they might try to pull off, so we have to be careful. I am your first guard; the shadows are under my orders right now,” Lily explained.
“I see. I guess you guys would never forget something as important as security,” Silva said with a slightly pained smile.
Lily saw the smile and spoke. “We understand your want to go without all this and the fact that you are immensely stronger than your security.
But you can never be too careful. Having extra people secure you is important. If anything happens to you, everything that’s here would be brought to ruins.

It’s sad to say, but you are the only pillar that holds this whole thing together,” Lily said.
“Sigh, I understand,” Silva said.
The carriage passed through the streets. People parted for it to pass while waving and chanting to Silva.
These things were what made kings do what they did. It was this that made kings happy—being praised and loved by their people. But for Silva, it did nothing.
His mind was hardly at ease, and every day he found new things that made it worse for him—more things to think about every single day.
He was sure that if it were not for the fact that he had a very powerful mind and an even stronger one, he would have definitely died from overthinking.
After a ten-minute ride in the carriage, they finally arrived at the city hall. The coachman opened the door for both of them. Silva and Lily stepped out and were immediately ushered in by a young tiger-beast lady.
She had a bright smile and glowing eyes that would make even the grumpiest person loosen up.
“Right this way, your majesty. All the florists are seated and waiting for you,” she said and led the way into the hall.
She led them through the hallways, and they finally got to the main hall door. She bowed her head and then walked away.
