Chapter 206: Nix Becomes King Rank Beast!
[Ding! You have shared an intimate moment with Elara.]
[Ding! You have received 30% of your own stats because you’re stronger than Elara.]
[Ding! Elara has received 50% of your stats.]
Cain finally received the notifications after he and Elara had taken the shower as they were eating together at the table.
“Elara, don’t panic because you will receive the power in a second.” Cain reminded her with a smile.
Elara’s eyes shone when she heard it since the moment she had been waiting for finally came. She couldn’t wait to become stronger, as she thought that she could be of help to Cain by then.
Meanwhile, Nix had already been healed completely and asked Cain to upgrade his rank, as he wanted to become stronger so that something like before wouldn’t be happening again.
After thinking about it for a bit, Cain decided to agree with Nix’s request since he also had something in mind that he would do while letting Nix do whatever he wanted.
[Ding! Do you want to upgrade Nix’s rank to Peak-level King Rank Beast?]
“Cut the crap and just upgrade his rank.” Cain replied simply as the system kept giving him notifications even though he had already said to not give them for confirmation like this.
[Ding! 10 billion Evolution Points have been successfully deducted.]
[Ding! Congratulations to the host! Nix has successfully broken through to the King Rank Beast.]
Roar!
Nix roared loudly, feeling excited that he had become stronger once again.
As usual, Cain had also received the benefit as his strength increased together. However, this time Cain didn’t check any of his or Nix’s information, as he thought that it would be quite boring for him to check every time a little change happened to his stats.
He then took Nix to the outside world as he called Veyron and Little White over since he had something to do for them.
The reason why he called Veyron was because he wanted to execute his plan by letting him bring over Nix and Little White together with his clone to the main world, as he wanted to find another small world to escape into in case his plan didn’t work.
Not only that, he also wanted Nix and Little White to learn fighting as he intended Veyron to let his contracted beasts teach them how to fight in teams.
Subsequently, they were heading to the place where they could go towards the main world while finding beasts for them to train while they were at it.
…
After they set off and spent hours on their way towards the place where they could use a transmission array. They stopped in a mountain range as Veyron could sense that there should be quite a lot of beasts that could be used to be Nix and Little White’s opponents.
Around one hour later, Veyron finally located two beasts, as Cain couldn’t do anything since the one that accompanied them was his clone; hence, he couldn’t use a detection function from the system.
When Veyron said that the duo beasts should be thunderbirds, Cain instructed that this time it would be Nix and Ashvara’s turn since Cain intended to let Ashvara train Nix in the air fight.
Five kilometers away, inside a huge cave, two thunderbirds were laying down, seemingly taking a nap as they closed their eyes.
“Nix, remember to not burn your blood essence again, okay? If things go south, Ashvara can handle them later. Remember that this fight’s purpose is to let you learn more.” Cain patted Nix softly with a smile.
Nix nodded and immediately followed Ashvara along as it had already arrived in front of the cave and attacked lightly at the entrance, intending to let the thunderbirds out of the cave and fight at the sky.
The afternoon sun hung high in the sky, washing the entire region in a warm, golden light. A gentle breeze swept over the edge of the wide plateau where Cain and Veyron had stationed themselves, watching as Nix and Ashvara readied themselves for an aerial clash.
Far below lay dense, forested valleys, and above them was a seemingly endless dome of brilliant blue sky, the perfect arena for two swift and deadly Thunderbirds that were awakened by Ashvara’s taunt attack.
A short distance from the plateau, two large shadows circled high in the sky. Occasional flashes of lightning arced around their feathers as a telltale sign of the Thunderbirds’ power.

These opponents, while a bit weaker than Nix and Ashvara in raw stats, were highly specialized in aerial combat. Their synergy in the sky was legendary, allowing them to channel electric energy and funnel it into coordinated strikes.
Nix felt a rush of excitement and apprehension. His newly improved stats were a testament to his rapid growth, but he was well aware that raw numbers wouldn’t guarantee victory if he had no proper synergy in the air. Ground battles were one thing as he’d fought many of them, but a pure large-scale aerial dogfight was a different challenge altogether.
Beside him stood Ashvara, enveloped in a faint corona of rippling heat. Feathers of obsidian black, traced with veins of molten gold, adorned the Infernal Sun Crow’s body.
Suppressed to match Nix’s rank for this exercise, Ashvara’s presence still radiated intense heat, warping the air around his frame. More importantly, Ashvara served as Nix’s mentor in this fight, tasked with teaching him how to maneuver, attack, and defend cooperatively in the vast skies.
From the plateau, Veyron inclined his head toward the pair. “Ashvara, remember to guide him. Nix, does everything Ashvara instructs as he’s an expert at aerial battles.” His voice carried through the mental link.
Nix nodded as he inhaled deeply, stirring up the cold aura in his lungs. He then spread his wings, testing the muscles that had so recently healed after prior battles. The half-wing had been healed, and now he felt the urge to prove himself anew. Ashvara said nothing, but Nix sensed the crow’s confidence in every flick of its fiery wings.
The two Thunderbirds, perched on a tall spire of rock not far away, had observed their conversation with keen interest. Their eyes crackled with lightning, and arcs of electricity occasionally danced across their wingtips and tail feathers.
They let out shrill cries, the pitch rising as the wind carried the sound across the plateau. A moment later, they launched themselves into the air, taking advantage of an updraft to ascend with little effort.
“Time to engage,” Ashvara’s voice rang telepathically. He took to the skies with a single powerful beat of his wings, leaving a trail of hot wind.
Nix followed, his broad wings churning the air until he soared alongside the crow, albeit less gracefully. While confident in flight, Nix still lacked the fine aerial control that ground-based fighting never demanded.
A high-pitched screech echoed as one of the Thunderbirds unleashed a spear of lightning from its beak, the bolt lancing through the air toward Nix.
Instinctively, Nix jerked left, but the movement was jerky. The lightning grazed his flank, sending a stinging shock rippling through his scales. Gritting his teeth, he pressed on, refusing to falter.
“Move smoothly!” Ashvara barked, swooping in behind Nix. “Don’t jerk away; coordinate your flaps with me.”
Nix suppressed a growl of annoyance at being told to move more smoothly in the middle of a real fight. But he understood the logic, because if they flailed or moved unpredictably, the Thunderbirds would exploit any disjointed motion.
So he nodded, adjusting his wing beats to match Ashvara’s pattern. The crow took the lead, forging a direct path toward the nearest Thunderbird.
Suddenly, the second Thunderbird dove in from above, wings splayed wide, lightning dancing around its feathers as it used a skill akin to Storm Plummet, a downward strike coated in electric arcs.
Ashvara’s keen eyes detected the movement. He flared his infernal aura and initiated his [Infernal Wing Gust] skill, sending a wave of scorching air at the diving Thunderbird. The wave disrupted the lightning arcs for a moment, but the Thunderbird persisted, letting out a shrill cry as it continued the descent.
“Now, Nix!” Ashvara prompted. “Counter with your icebreath!”
Nix roared, summoning a swirl of subzero energy before exhaling Ice Breath at the descending Thunderbird. The collision of frost and lightning filled the air with steam, momentarily blinding all involved.
The Thunderbird screeched, battered by shards of ice that clung to its wings, forcing it to veer away to break the line of fire.
However, the first Thunderbird took advantage of the steam. Swiftly darting around the cloud, it targeted Ashvara, launching arcs of electricity from its beak.
The crow tried to pivot away, but the lightning hammered his flank, sizzling through a layer of protective flame. A sharp caw of frustration escaped Ashvara as he stabilized himself, a lingering ache from the electric shock evident in his voice.
“Both of them are skilled at pincer tactics,” Nix remarked. “We need to push one away and overwhelm the other, right?”
Ashvara’s eyes flickered. “Correct. We’ll isolate them. Follow my lead.”
