Chapter 49: The Flarehart Family
When the young man saw that Cain and Fenix didn’t go out of the way and even stood there as if to challenge him, he immediately became irritated and ordered the middle-aged man behind him.

“Just step on them.” The young man smiled viciously, looking at Cain and Fenix before continuing. “We need to make an example once in a while so that people will know their place in the future.”

“But Young Master, I couldn’t even detect that big guy’s rank. What if he’s stronger than me?” The middle-aged man responded after he looked at Fenix and tried to measure his rank.

The young man’s eyes narrowed, but his expression shifted to mild amusement. “Oh, so that’s why they’re so confident.”

He then waved his hand and ordered. “Call the head butler in case something unexpected happens.”

“Captain, should we intervene?” One of the guards asked the captain, who sat and leaned on the walls while petting his wolf.

“There’s no need to interfere, that young man said he knew what he was doing. Besides, the big guy with them seems strong, either stronger than me or using some kind of treasure to conceal his rank”

The captain replied with a smile as he thought that he would see an interesting scene since being the captain guard, who always guards the city gates and welcomes important guests, was boring.

“But…”

Before the guard could finish his sentence, he was cut off by the captain, “Relax. Either way, we benefit. If we don’t interfere, one of two things will happen: either the Flarehart Family will be humiliated today or the worst scenario for them is their death.”

The reason the captain didn’t want to meddle in this was basically because he would only lose something since interfering with the Flarehart Family would only bring trouble for him.

The middle-aged man frowned when he realized that his guess was true.

Fenix came back to his senses when he saw that Cain’s expression was serious and immediately apologized too.

“My apology because I didn’t recognize you as a member of the Flarehart Family. Please forgive my earlier rudeness.”

The young man’s ego immediately soared high to the sky as he thought that they were acting like that because they didn’t know that he was from the Flamehart Family.

However, unlike the young master of his family, who became proud, the head butler was shocked and became wary when he saw Fenix because he couldn’t check his strength.
