Everyone was left speechless when Cain shamelessly allowed his subordinate to smash the first elder’s face, claiming it would somehow improve the elder’s handsomeness.

“Y-You!” The first elder stammered, pointing an accusatory finger at Cain.

Fenix smirked when he heard that Cain allowed him to entertain himself by banging the old man’s face on the floor at the very least.

When they had almost arrived at a huge building not far away from the building they had been to, the family head took out a red token and removed one by one the formations around the building as it was covered with a lot of formations for safety measures.

‘So this is the kind of formation I’ve read about in novels.’ Cain thought as he watched the transparent barriers dissipate before his eyes.

‘I should implement something like this in the Royal Treasury Hall later.’

Cain became interested in giving formations in the important places in the kingdom later on.

Though he realized he would need to recruit an expert to handle such tasks, as he didn’t have any subordinate who was capable of doing so.

After the head family removed all of the formations as they walked towards the building, they then finally arrived in front of huge doors with intricate carvings of lions in the door.

Before the family head opened the door, Cain fully activated his scan function, as he had only activated it again specifically for scanning living beings when he was about to enter the hall previously.

Because in his memory, he didn’t even have a lot of money or treasures as he was oppressed by the other princes and princesses.

That’s why, when he saw the enormous wealth in front of him, his inner emotion started to sway him up to take all of the treasures for himself.

Cain immediately took a deep breath as he tried to control his emotion before opening his eyes slowly and starting to look around.

Meanwhile, Fenix only stood there expressionless, as this amount of wealth was nothing to him since he was a quite well-known alchemist and had accumulated a lot of wealth in his entire life.

After looking around for a little bit, Cain nodded and looked at the family head,

“It seems that you’ve accumulated quite a bit of wealth.” Said by the once-penniless prince of an unranked kingdom.

“Hehe. It’s nothing compared to your wealth, Young Master Cain.” The family head replied, scratching the back of his head with a smile.

“Good! Now, I’ll take half of your wealth as compensation for my losses.”

Cain nodded before ordering the system to take exactly half of the things inside the treasury room.

A second later, half of the things inside the room instantly disappeared as the system moved them into his inventory.

Looking at the huge loss that his family had just suffered, the family head complained hesitantly.

“This… Isn’t this too much for compensation?”

Cain’s expression darkened. “It’s too much for you, but not for me. Consider yourself lucky I’m letting this matter slide. Otherwise…”

His chilling tone silenced any further complaints. After a pause, Cain added,

“Since I’m in a good mood, I’ll allow you to ask for my help once as long as your request isn’t excessive.” Cain waved his hand before walking out of the building with Fenix.

“T-Thank you.” The family head felt relieved as he at least got something in return.

“Wait!”

The family head ran and approached the duo as he forgot about something.

“How can I contact you if I need help in the future?”

The family head asked with an awkward smile since he only knew about their names and didn’t even know where Cain and Fenix were from.

Cain glanced at Fenix and nudged him with an elbow. “Give him a token so he can reach you.”

“Hand me a jade token.” Fenix said as he opened his palm.

The family head then took out their family token and handed it to Fenix politely with both hands.

Fenix immediately used his phoenix flame as it enveloped the jade token and erased the Flarehart symbol before replacing it with a phoenix symbol.

Subsequently, he bit his thumb and dropped his blood on the jade before tossing it to the family head.

“You can use this to contact me for once. Make sure you don’t waste the opportunity at that time.”

Fenix reminded the family head before looking at Cain as if informing him that he had done his job.
