Chapter 65: A Fortunate Misunderstanding (1)
Let alone the fact that it had the chance of awakening the first tail, which meant that they would immediately become the royal family of the 9-Tailed Heavenly Demon Fox race, which had already been considered as the royal family itself in the fox races as they were the strongest race in the canine type beasts.
In the 9-Tailed Heavenly Demon Fox race, an individual’s status and strength were determined by the number of tails they had awakened and the purity of their bloodline.
However, the number of tails mattered most. The more tails one awakened, the greater their power, granting them the ability to dominate and even suppress those with fewer tails or a less pure bloodline.
For instance, if someone who had awakened to the 3-Tails met someone from the 9-Tailed Heavenly Demon race who hadn’t awakened any tail, they would’ve been able to suppress them easily even if they were stronger than them.
Though, it would also depend on the disparity between their strength too.
Because if the difference in strength was too huge, even if they had awakened to the third tails, they couldn’t suppress the one who hadn’t awakened any tails because the effect of the suppression would be much less.
The reason why Old Feng knew about this information was because he was from the branch family of the Liang Clan from the Main World, and he had been in the industries for a long time.
Yuchen was surprised too, but her reaction wasn’t as shocked as Old Feng’s since she didn’t know the details of it.
Because even though she was from the Main Family of the Liang Clan, most of her time in her entire life was just practicing and playing in her home, and she had just started to experience the outside world by attending the Celestial Summit Academy not long ago.
That’s why she didn’t know the meaning of having the chance of awakening the 1st tail and didn’t seem as shocked as Old Feng did.
“This… You’re not joking, are you?” Old Feng was in disbelief since the effect was too good to be true.
He thought that if there was really blood that had the effect like this, the 9-Tailed Heavenly Demon Fox race would definitely make a move to get their hands on this blood and even trace its source.
Because if they could get their hands on more blood like this, their force would immediately grow at a rapid pace since they could help their younger generations more in awakening their tails.
They could even expand their race by letting those of the fox race who had more chance in refining this refine it so that they could become one of them.
Cain smirked. “Why would I joke about something like this? Do you doubt me?”
“To be honest with you, I don’t. However, I will believe you because even if the effect isn’t as you claimed, I believe that blood would definitely be better than the Ice Dragon’s blood essence.” Old Feng shook his head and explained as he waved his hand.
“Well, I can prove it,” Cain said with a sly grin, “but know that curiosity killed the cat. Are you willing to take that risk?”
Old Feng immediately became serious and thought for a second before waving his hand at Yuchen and saying, “Young Miss, could you step outside for a moment?”
Old Feng was extremely curious about it and decided he wanted to hear it.
However, he didn’t want to implicate Yuchen since this information seemed to be dangerous as he felt that things didn’t seem right.
That’s why he wanted Yuchen to go out so that she wouldn’t be implicated in this if things went wrong.
“No! I want to know too.” Yuchen pouted cutely as she crossed her hands on her chest.
Old Feng could only shake his head helplessly and look at Cain, waiting for him to prove it.
Cain then activated his bloodline until the third tail and transformed partially as three tails emerged from his lower back, destroying the back of the chair and shocking everyone, including Fenix.
However, Fenix wasn’t as shocked as Old Feng and Yuchen since he thought that it would be only normal if his lord had some capabilities.
After leaving Old Feng’s jaw opened for a few seconds and Yuchen, who stared at him with wide eyes opened, Cain immediately took his tails back.
Because even though he already felt safe by the double protection from Fenix and Old Feng, he still had a hunch that it would only lead to troubles if he continued activating his bloodline ability.
Cain then waved his hand, instructing Fenix to take back the barrier since he didn’t need it anymore as he had shown enough.
When Fenix retracted his barrier, Old Feng instantly came back to his senses and also retracted his barrier before he stood up right away, bowing deeply at Cain.
“Your Excellency, please forgive our earlier disrespect. We failed to recognize your greatness,” Old Feng immediately shivered as he begged for a pardon and used his power to make Yuchen bow too.

He then glared at Yuchen with a serious and nervous expression, signaling her to follow what he did.
Realizing the gravity of the situation she was in, she immediately apologized with a scared voice.
“Y-Your Excellency, I deeply apologize for my rudeness earlier. Please forgive me!”
Yuchen started crying a little bit as she sobbed because she was scared that she had just offended one of the strongest forces in the entire world and brought trouble to the Starlight Auction House and her family.
Cain chuckled as he waved his hand. “Relax. If I were truly offended, neither of you would be standing here now.”
His words were a clear warning, implying that their lives had been spared only because he had chosen to be lenient.
Both Old Feng and Yuchen understood the weight of this and remained silent, their hearts racing with lingering fear.
