As Cain noticed that the boy was seemingly wary of him, he smiled and said, “Don’t worry, I wouldn’t hurt either of you.”

Cain immediately tilted his head to the audience and shouted, “Who here has the best healing pills for these two? Name your price, and I’ll pay it immediately.”

One of the people who sat near the platform stood right away and said in a loud voice. “I have top-tier healing pills for those below Lord Rank, it’s not even a problem for normal people to consume this.”

“How much?.” Cain asked in an impatient voice.

He started to regret that he didn’t name a higher price since this was basically an easy money-making opportunity that wouldn’t come twice.

He then threw two pills at Cain reluctantly, as he already got his money.

When Cain caught the pills, he ordered the system to check the pills to see if there was something wrong with it.

After confirming that the pills’ effects were indeed the same as the man had claimed them to be, Cain immediately tilted his head and looked at the boy and little girl with a warm smile.

“These will heal your injuries. Trust me, they’re safe.” Cain opened his palm and extended his hand at the boy.

The boy hesitated for a few seconds before he took out the pills.

However, he didn’t give one to the little girl yet as he wanted to try it for himself first in case it was poisoned or had a bad effect.

After eating the pill, the boy was stunned as he felt a stream of energy running through his body, healing the bruises on his body immediately.

The boy then turned his body and opened his palm, ordering the little girl to take the pill too. “Eat it.”

The little girl stared at the pill for a few seconds before making up her mind and shook her head cutely. “No, brother Eli saves it first.”

The little girl continued. “Ayla is still going to be fine without eating it.”

“Ayla, eat it!” The boy insisted as he said with a firm attitude.

“B-but, brother Eli needs it more than me. What if brother Eli is getting hurt again in the future?” The little girl sobbed weakly as her thoughts instantly flashed with her memory of his brother, who was always protecting him and got hurt badly every time he did so.

“Don’t worry, I just became stronger after eating this pill. There’s even some energy left so that whenever I get hurt, I will be immediately healed.” The boy reassured the little girl as he made up some lies on the spot.

Cain shook his head helplessly as he could feel that they should’ve been through a lot even though they were still a little.

“Little girl, take the pill. You don’t need to worry about anything anymore. As long as I’m here, no one will hurt you.”

Cain stepped forward and squatted down, smiling at them.

The boy was surprised and immediately stuffed the pill into the little girl’s hand before turning around and bowing deeply. “Master, thank you for the pills, and I’m really sorry for my rudeness to you before. Please, don’t implicate my sister in this.”

The boy forgot to express his gratitude, as his first thoughts were immediately filled with healing his little sister too when he realized that the pill had healed his entire body in an instant.

“Hahaha, both of you don’t need to be like that from now on.” Cain helped both of them to stand up and continued.

However, when he was about to pat their heads, they immediately closed their eyes tightly while clenching their fists and gritted their teeth as they unconsciously thought that Cain wanted to beat them.

He then patted their heads before caressing their heads softly and said, “Little girl, eat the pill and don’t worry too much about anything else.”

The little girl was startled and came back to her senses as she was enjoying the feeling of a big hand caressing her head because the last time someone did that to her was her dead mom a few years ago.

The boy was confused at the moment as he didn’t believe what just happened, he prayed silently inside his heart as he hoped that this wasn’t just a dream.

As they walked towards the stairs that were heading towards the sixth floor, people were staring at them with a weird expression as they were shocked and didn’t believe the scene they had just finished.

Cain ignored the gaze of the people as he didn’t care about what other people thought while petting the little girl on his arm since he felt happy when he saw that the little girl also seemed to really enjoy it.

However, when he was about to go into the stairs, he was stopped again by a jacked man who had reached Low-level Dominator Rank Awakener.
