Chapter 70: Elion’s Future Plan
“Aww, Big Brother Cain, you’re so mean!” Ayla giggled, covering her mouth with her tiny hands in a playful gesture.

Cain chuckled and patted her head. “Oh, am I? Well, I suppose I should give that manager something to do so he doesn’t get too bored.”

He turned to the manager and gave a simple order. “Go buy clothes for both of them.”

The manager nodded quickly. “Yes, sir,” he replied, hurrying off to complete the task.

Subsequently, Cain ordered a lot of dishes and the finest wine, as he was curious about this place’s famed wine.

Shortly after, the waitress brought over the food and the wine that Cain ordered.

After the waitress put down the food and the wine, she explained which food could be eaten by Ayla and Elion since they were just normal people.

Because the food that was made from high-rank beasts contained an energy that would enter the person who ate it, it would be dangerous for normal people to eat the high-level dishes, as it could literally burst them to death since their body couldn’t handle it.

Looking at the expensive dishes in front of them, Ayla and Elion were drooling, as this was going to be their first time eating such expensive foods.

“What are you waiting for? Dig in. Eat as much as you want, and if it’s not enough, feel free to order more.” Cain said as he smiled at both of them.

Ayla and Elion immediately swept their saliva before taking as much food as they could grab with both hands and eating it greedily as if they hadn’t eaten for days.

While looking at them eating happily, Cain raised his empty glass as he signaled the waitress to pour the wine for him.

After savoring a sip of the wine, Cain thought that even though he fancied this wine, he would still choose the wine that Old Feng ‘gave’ him as he fancied it better than this wine.

However, he wasn’t going to complain about anything since compared to the wine on earth, this wine was hundreds of times better.

Suddenly, Cain remembered something and looked at Ayla, who was still eating foods left and right as her hands were full of food.

Cain then silently made a thin, translucent barrier around him and Elion as he wanted to have a chat with the boy about something.

“Elion, what is your plan after this?” Cain asked him with a serious expression.

Elion was startled when he heard Cain’s voice.

After looking at Cain, who seemed to be serious, he immediately set aside his food and looked at his little sister, who was still enjoying her food happily.

Cain waved his hand. “Don’t worry. She won’t hear this.”

“This…” Elion was hesitating for a few seconds as he looked at Cain and his table from time to time.

After he gathered his courage for a while, Elion asked Cain with a serious expression while clenching his fists tightly. Though Elion’s fists were trembling a little bit as he was nervous and scared at the same time.

“Big Brother Cain, can you teach me how to become stronger? I want to protect my sister.”

Elion asked Cain as he thought of the worst-case scenario that they wouldn’t be able to rely on Cain anymore or even Cain would abandon them.

That’s why he asked to teach him how to become stronger instead of to help him to become stronger, as the meaning of the two was different.

If Cain was to teach him, he would still be able to become stronger by himself in the future even though Cain wouldn’t be there with him.

As for helping him to become stronger, even though this way was easier and faster since Cain would help him, in case Cain wouldn’t be there to help him, his progress would be stuck, and it would be hard for him to be able to go further.

Ever since he experienced a tough life with his little sister for a long time, his thoughts had become mature since he needed to use his brain so that at least his little sister and he would be able to survive.

This was the main reason he chose to rely on himself because he needed to think of the worst-case scenario and should anticipate it by moving a few steps ahead.

When he saw Cain slap the arrogant man previously, Elion really admired Cain, as he didn’t seem to be afraid of any trouble that would come to him because of his deed.

Naturally, there were only two reasons why Cain did so.

The first reason was absolute strength, meaning that Cain had the strength to not fear anyone as he was confident with his strength.

The second reason was background, this meant that Cain should’ve had a terrifying background to not fear anyone as he was backed by a faction strong enough to do whatever he wanted to do here.

“Do you want to become stronger?” Cain asked, looking at Elion with interest.

Elion nodded firmly. “Yes!”

“Good. I can help you to become stronger at a fast speed. Are you interested? Don’t worry about your sister or anything since I wouldn’t abandon any of you and will at least protect both of you to the best of my ability.” Cain tapped his fingers on the table.

He then continued with a smile. “there’s a significant risk involved. It could cost you your life.”

“This… Can you give me some time?” Elion asked hesitantly, as he wanted to at least confirm their well-being after Cain bought them since, until now, he still didn’t completely believe Cain.

Even though it seemed silly for him to not believe Cain until now, because even if Cain had any hidden intention, he couldn’t do anything as he was as weak as an ant in Cain’s perspective.

Cain shrugged nonchalantly. “Take all the time you need. It’s your decision, after all.”

After Cain and Elion chatted for a little bit more, Cain removed the barrier before joining in eating his own dishes.

While eating his own dishes, he made a projection in front of Nix, who was lying down near his house inside the beast space.
