Chapter 204: Changes in the Realm Lord’s Token Chapter 204: Changes in the Realm Lord’s Token On the other side of the Wood Spirit Realm, within his own Sylvan Space, Ram sat cross-legged inside his housing plant, with Korrin and a few other wood spirits far behind doing their own practice. He had been quietly waiting for Nyra to return for her usual night report-she’d gone scouting earlier, as she often did, today he planned on going back to the Cyber Core district to meet with others.
His eyes were half-closed, his thoughts drifting, when a strange sensation prickled at his side.
*Buzz…* *Buzz…* A faint but steady vibration hummed from beside him.
Ram blinked, snapping out of his light meditation.
He turned and glanced toward the flat wooden token he got from Master Orion during his last visit to the Wood Spirit Realm. It had been lying untouched on a slab of stone, half-buried under a few dry leaves and unused for many days.
The token trembled again, more intensely this time.
As Ram leaned in, his heart skipped a beat.
“What the…?” Hairline cracks had spread across the surface of the token-at first subtle, but now growing, splitting its surface with jagged, web-like lines. More than half of it was covered in fractures.
“I didn’t even use it!
Did it break on its own?” Ram muttered under his breath, his brows furrowing.
He picked it up cautiously.
The texture felt the same, but the longer he held it, the stronger the vibrations became, and with that, the cracks deepened. A dull glow flickered beneath the surface-something inside was reacting violently.
He looked around, half-expecting someone-anyone-to be nearby to explain what the hell was going on.
But no one knows more than he does.
“Tch… what to do?” He thought of contacting Master Orion but then scoffed and shook his head. “That *is* the damn token.
How the hell am I supposed to contact him with the one thing that’s breaking?” His mind raced.
“Wait… Ling Xi.
She might know what this means.” But the idea of making a trip back to the Wood Spirit Realm immediately didn’t sit right with him.
If the token was reacting now, something might be happening in real-time.
He needed a faster solution.
Then, a new thought struck him.
“What if… I try fixing it?” Ram’s gaze turned toward the token again.
He could feel a faint connection inside, like it was calling out for energy-no, for *him*.
He didn’t hesitate any longer.
He brought up his attribute panel in his mind.
[ Life Energy Reserve: 21,350 points ] [ Spiritual Power Reserve: 30,720 points ] Seeing the numbers, he let out a breath.
“Alright… let’s see if this works.” He placed the token gently on his palm, closed his eyes, and slowly began to inject a steady stream of Life Energy into it.
At first, nothing changed.
The glow stayed dim, the cracks unhealed.
“Come on… don’t waste my energy now,” he whispered, narrowing his focus.

“Take it… damn you.” As the flow of Life Energy intensified, the glow within the token grew stronger, spreading outward like veins of light through the cracks.
The jagged lines began to pulse and slowly pull together, like wounds closing beneath warm hands.
Ram’s eyes widened.
“It’s working…” Encouraged, he added Spiritual Power into the mix.
The moment the two energies flowed in together, the token let out a soft hum-almost like a heartbeat.
The glow turned from faint gold to vibrant green-white.
Cracks started sealing rapidly, the wood rejuvenating as if time itself was reversing.
At the same moment, far away within the broken Sylvan Kingdom, next to the withered Sylvan Soul Tree, a thin, silvery mist began to swirl in the air-Life Energy and Spiritual Power from an unknown source began seeping into the realm.
Tiny green lights blinked into existence at the base of the Sylvan Soul tree like fireflies, then surged upward, spreading across its dead bark.
The gnarled roots trembled slightly.
With each breath of this pure energy, the Sylvan Soul Tree began to stabilize. The hungry phantom skulls, which had been feasting ravenously on its core, paused as if stunned.
The third forming skull flickered, its shape destabilizing. The corruption slowed-not reversed, but halted-and the dark mist around the tree thinned.
The Life Energy Ram poured into the token was not much by his own realm standards when compared to the injured Sylvan Soul Tree, but due to its purifying nature and resonance with the Wood Spirit Realm, it was like medicine reaching the heart of a dying patient. The violent devouring slowed, and the decay paused.
Back in Ram’s hands, the token grew warm.
The surface was now almost fully healed, and the cracks were nearly gone, but soon, newer small cracks appeared in the place of the healed areas.
But the speed at which the new cracks spread was many times slower than before.
Ram stared at it and looked back at his own attribute panel again, shocked by the sudden decrease in the reserves, with sweat lining his brow.
[ Life Energy Reserve: 3,250 points ] [ Spiritual Power Reserve: 10,873 points ] “What the hell is going on…?” he muttered, more to himself than anyone else, as he watched so much Life Energy and Spiritual wasted without any feedback to his experience.
He was saving this reserve energy to use it to increase the last bit of experience to reach Tier 4.
Now, all of it was spent on the Token.
His chest rose and fell with some frustration.
He had no clear answer, but a gut feeling told him something serious was unfolding.
Something connected… to the place mentioned in the token’s description.
He was certain of his assumption because Ram found some changes in the description of Realm Lord’s Token, he found when he checked it with his spiritual eyes.
[ Name: Realm Lord’s Token] [ Type: Unique Key Item] [ Origin: Wood Spirit Realm] [ Description: A beautifully crafted wooden token imbued with the energy of the Realm Lord himself.
Its intricate carvings of vines and leaves symbolize the essence of life and nature.] [ Attributes: Entry Pass, Activation, Plant lord’s Aura, Realm Synchronization] [Entry Pass (Unstable)]: Grants the bearer access to a special location of the Wood Spirit Realm.
The specific location is unknown and will only be revealed upon activation.
[Activation]: Requirement- minimum Tier 5 strength required to channel the token’s latent energy.
[Plant Lord’s Aura]: Placing it inside the Lord’s territory accelerates the spiritual growth of nearby Wood Spirits by 120%.
[Realm Synchronization]: Synchronizes the bearer’s life energy with the realm’s core, allowing smoother interaction with spiritual entities and environments.] He clutched the token tighter as he muttered.
“The entry pass option became unstable, and the effect of the Plant Lord’s aura was also became less compared to before.” For now, Ram stopped injecting more energy into the token.
Since most of his reserves became empty, he simply let the cracks spread and planned to inject more life energy and spiritual power once he recovered more.
