Stolen Identity: Mute Heiress - Chapter 89
Chapter 89: Only One Guess
After the phone call with his family, Jamal decided to make one last group call to his friends so he wouldn’t have to repeat the story to each one of them.
He knew by informing his mother, his stepdad would hear it from her. He also knew that his grandmother would hear from his grandfather.
Now that his aunt knew, Mari would likely hear from her too, but he would rather tell her directly because she was not just family, but a dear friend to him.
He knew he still needed to return her call concerning the issue she had texted him, and he also needed to return Emily’s call concerning her issue, and he was yet to check on Callan and bring him up to date with his plans.
Unlike Mari and Emily whom he had told about seeing Genevieve and becoming her driver, he was yet to talk to Callan about that, so that would mean having to explain more of those details to Callan.
Jamal sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair impatiently. As much as he had believed he wasn’t one to share the private details of his life anymore, the present situation wasn’t exactly one to keep away from everyone especially since they had all watched him pine for Dawn all these years, and watched him pine for Abigail and get heartbroken twice. They should all know his love had been worth it.
After a moment he decided to give Callan a call first. He would bring Callan up to date with the situation, and then he would add Mari and Emily to the call and tell them about Dawn.
Taking out his phone, he checked the time. Seeing as it was past 7 PM already, he figured it was past 3 AM in Husla due to the time difference.
He hesitated for a moment, as he contemplated whether to disturb Callan’s sleep or to forget it.
After a moment, he dialed Callan’s number, deciding that Callan wouldn’t mind being disturbed by him.
Jamal smiled a moment later when Callan received the call, “Jamal? Is everything alright?” Callan asked in a rough voice, sounding more concerned than irritated over the disturbance.
“Yeah. I’m sorry to disturb your sleep. I just really wanted to talk to you and it couldn’t wait,” Jamal said, and Callan sat up in bed and reached for his bedside switch, flooding his room with light.
“Okay. What’s up? I’m all ears,” Callan said, standing from the bed and heading for his bathroom to go wash his face because he was still feeling very sleepy.
“So, the thing is I have something important to share with you. But because I do not want to have to repeat it to you and then Mari and Em, I want to bring you up to speed before adding them to the call,” Jamal explained, and immediately sleep departed from Callan’s eyes and he groaned.
“Can’t you just record a voice note and share to me and to them? Do you have to add them to this call?” He asked as he turned on the tap and splashed some water on his face.
“No. I want to talk to you all together. By the way, Emily mentioned that you’re accommodating her in Husla. Did you really agree to that?” Jamal asked, and Callan sighed.
“It’s not like I had a choice. How could I say no? There is enough room in the house for us both. As long as she focuses on her program and stays away from my business, I believe everything will be okay. Now enough about me. I know you didn’t wake me up by this time to talk about my living arrangement with Miss goody two shoes. What’s up? Did you decide to elope with your promiscuous first love? Or did you find yet another crush?” He asked, sounding fully awake now as he walked out of his bedroom.
He knew he wasn’t going to be able to go back to sleep after the phone call. He decided to check the guest room to make sure everything was in place and to see if anything needed to be fixed before Emily’s arrival since he had only been told of her visit the previous day and he had been too busy to do anything about it.
“Do you realize you do not have a very likable personality?” Jamal asked, amused by Callan’s annoying bluntness.
“Nope. That’s not what I’ve been told. Again, enough about me. What is up?” Callan asked, and Jamal smirked.
“First of all, I have to correct your careless statement. My first love isnt promiscuous.”
“Like hell she isn’t. Any lady who screws multiple men like a bitch and is stupid enough to be recorded by them, is promiscuous. I’m sorry if that hurts your feelings, but it’s the truth. And I’d be very disappointed if you’re considering lowering your standards for a girl like that,” Callan said and Jamal snorted.
“What then do you call a man that screws multiple ladies like a dog?” Jamal asked, and Callan chuckled as he opened the door to the guest room.
“You love talking about me a lot, don’t you? I guess it’s because you love me so much you always find a way to bring the conversation back to me,” Callan said, not offended by the deliberate jab.
“I’m just saying someone who lives in a glass house shouldn’t throw stones,” Jamal pointed out.
“I’ve never said I was a decent guy. I’m scum. I’m a jerk. Call me promiscuous if you will. But that doesn’t change the fact that a nice guy like you deserves a decent girl,” Callan said as he moved around the room, opening the closet door and drawers to be sure nothing was there that shouldn’t be there.
He scowled when he saw a red thong and bra. He didn’t need to be told that one of his girls had deliberately left that there to mark her territory and scare off other girls.
“Yes. You’re right. And thankfully, I got one. My first love is decent,” Jamal said with a grin.
“Jamal, please don’t tell me you found yet another first love again. I’m beginning to feel the meaning of the word is lost on you. First love means the first person you had romantic feelings for. Dawn, Genevieve whatever her name is, was your first love and the whole world knows she isn’t decent, so I don’t know who you’re kidding. In case you’re referring to the virgin mute girl, who used and dumped you, she was your second love. Anyone else you’ve fallen for now is your third love,” Callan said, sounding slightly frustrated as he picked up the undies and threw them on the floor, and then continued his inspection.
Jamal laughed enjoying his lecture. He decided to mess around a little more with Callan. He couldn’t tell him about Dawn being Abigail yet until he added Emily and Mari to the call anyway.

“Guess where I am now?” Jamal asked, wanting to annoy him even more.
Callan sighed deeply, “Jamal you didn’t wake me to play guessing game with you, did you?”
“Only one guess,” Jamal urged him.
“Hm. You’re in the hotel with Genevieve. The phone is on speaker and your head is on her lap. She is running her fingers through your hair as we are talking,” Callan guessed, and Jamal burst out laughing.
“You have a really rich imagination,” Jamal said laughing.
“I decided to go for worst case scenario seeing how happy you sound,” Callan said with a grin.
“I’m in Genevieve’s house. I’m pretending to be her new live-in driver, while Stefan is pretending to be me and he’s out on a date with her,” Jamal announced.
“Damn! Your life is so much fun!” Callan exclaimed after a moment, “This is really good stuff. This sounds more fun than the dream you woke me from. Let’s hear the details. But no hurry. I need to pour myself a glass of wine to enjoy this,” Callan said, kicking the undies to the side as he walked out of the room.
He made a mental note to ask his cleaner to clear out the room and throw out any stuff belonging to any of the other girls before Emily arrived.
He could imagine the look on her if she walks in and sees something like that. His lips curved in a devilish grin as he contemplated whether or not to leave it just to get on her nerves.
