Strongest Superhuman System - Chapter 470
Chapter 470: My Name Is Kevin!!
“Talia, hurry up, we’re leaving.”
Once Mark dropped the call, he turned to Talia and told her to hurry up! Talia had been putting on a sock when Mark answered the call, and she was on her other leg when Mark shouted. Mark quickly moved to her side of the couch and started to help her with the sock.
“B-Big brother, what happened? Where are we going?”
“We’re going to City S for some time. I need to deal with something, but I have to make sure you and Arit are safe first.”
“What about Big Sister Jeanne? Is she coming too? I like Big Sister Jeanne.”
“Yeah, sure, she can come.”
Doon!
But suddenly, Mark stopped what he was doing as he felt a massive amount of bloodlust pressing down on him. Mark turned around sharply to see what was going on, and his eyes widened when he saw a large backpack flying toward the hotel window. There was a single magic circle inscribed on the bag, and from how quickly it was moving, it was obvious that someone had thrown it from the other side of the street!
“HAHAHAHAHAHA!!”
A maniacal laugh suddenly echoed from somewhere far away, and Mark didn’t even take a second to think about who it was before he bent down and grabbed Talia in a bear hug just as the bag slammed into the side of the hotel! The explosion that followed was loud enough to echo throughout the entire city!
KA-BOOOMMM!!!!

Well, that scroll is causing a stir up here because the other gods don’t want you to see it yet—they don’t think you’re ready. But I don’t care. If they want to stop you, then I told them they can send their champions after you and have them beat you first, but we all know how that’s going to end! Those guys are weak! Hahaha! But you better not lose here, Mark! Prove to me that I wasn’t wrong in giving you this opportunity! Defeat that bastard and take your first step into the realm of the gods!]

Mark ignored the system prompt that suddenly showed up as he flew back with Talia in his arms! The explosion completely destroyed the front wall of his apartment, leaving it exposed to the outside. Mark made sure Talia was okay before turning around to glare at the person flying towards his building!
There was smoke obstructing Mark from seeing the person’s face, but once the person broke through the smoke, Mark immediately recognized him! He had blond hair and blue eyes, and there was a wide, sadistic smile on his face that made him look far too much like Salazar! It was NPC Kent from Nature Academy!
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing, Kent!?”
“My name is Kevin, you bastard!”

[A Few Minutes Earlier – With Arit and Arthur.]
“Come on, Dad. We can take the elevator here to the café. It’s been so long; there’s a lot I want to talk to you about too. I know—I know you’re not happy about how dangerous it’s been in the city recently, but Mark has been taking care of me very well. He made sure to protect me from any danger, and we even moved to this hotel because the house was too dangerous to stay in. I… I don’t want to leave him.”
Arit and Arthur were standing in the elevator when Arit said all this. Arit was worried that her father was really thinking about taking her with him to Africa, and she couldn’t stop herself from trying to paint Mark in a good light with her father so that he would change his mind.
Arthur, meanwhile, was silent as he just stared ahead at the elevator door. His hands were in his pockets, and Arit frowned when she noticed that Arthur wasn’t saying anything to her. Arthur’s mind was preoccupied with what Alec had said to him earlier. Arthur felt like just opening up and telling Arit about all of this. Right now, Arit was acting like herself; she wasn’t showing any sign that would indicate that she was a killer. Why would Alec think that this baby girl was a killer? Should I just ask her about it? I know Arit; she won’t lie to me.
Arit called on her father, and Arthur finally blinked as he was brought out of his thoughts. He looked at Arit and noticed the worried look on her face, and he tried his best to smile back.
“Are you okay, Dad?”
“Yeah. Yeah, I’m okay. I just… I feel a little jetlagged from the traveling. Sorry, what were you saying?”
Arit nodded as she accepted the explanation that Arthur gave, and she started to talk again with that same smile on her face. Arthur, meanwhile, was listening intently to the sounds that were getting louder outside the hotel. Arthur could hear the sirens of the police cars echoing down from the other side of the city. Arthur knew that Arit could also hear it, but she didn’t even look like she was worried about it. Arit just thought it was none of her business.
“So Mark was trying to get through the crowd of students, and they were just swarming him. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Mark that annoyed before. Everyone was just trying to touch him and get his autograph. One girl even touched his ass, and he almost went mad with anger—”
“Are you really Arit?”
Arit suddenly stopped what she had been saying when Arthur spoke up. Arthur’s voice was monotone and emotionless, and his eyes were still fixed on the door of the elevator. Arit felt a small tremor in her chest when she heard her father ask her that question. What was he talking about?
“W-What do you mean, Dad? Why are you asking me something like that?”
Arthur turned to look at Arit sharply, and Arit almost recoiled when she saw the deep pain in his eyes. Arthur’s eyes were red, and there was a fire burning there. His next words came out in a whisper.
“Arit, I’m going to ask you something very important. I’m not going to mince words, and I’m not going to beat around the bush. But please, I’m begging you, give me a straight answer. Do you understand?”
Arit almost reached out to touch her father’s hand, but she stopped when she saw him stiffen, and she just nodded to tell him that she understood.
“Did you kill two students named Francis and Esmeralda in your school?”
