Strongest Superhuman System - Chapter 473
Chapter 473: F*ck
“MARK! Mark, where are you!?”
There was no way Mark would be hurt by something like this! He had to be fine!
There was a hole in the ground, and Arit was about to go towards it when she saw Jeanne comforting Talia at the side! Arit immediately asked Jeanne what had happened, and Jeanne gave Arit a quick rundown about how a blond boy named Kevin had attacked them and how he and Mark disappeared in a flash of blue.
Arit almost stumbled off her feet when she heard that Mark was gone, and she just stared at Jeanne with wide, disbelieving eyes. Mark was no longer here? There was no way that was true. Mark wouldn’t just allow himself to get taken like that!
“She’s up here! I found her! Hey, get down right now and put your hands where I can see them!”
A superhuman with a flight ability suddenly appeared from the hole in the wall and shouted to the others that he found Arit while pointing a gun at her, and Jeanne cursed as she tackled Arit out of the way of a bullet that would have hit her in the shoulder! Jeanne noticed that Arit was completely unresponsive and she slapped her in the face! This wasn’t the time to go into shock!
“You need to get out of here now!”
“Wha-? B-But Mark…”
“He isn’t here, and you’ll never see him again if you get captured! You need to leave! Right now! Go!”
Jeanne started to push Arit out as she shouted at her, and Arit realized in shock that Jeanne was right! Arit quickly stumbled to her feet! The flying superhuman was about to shoot at her again, but a large teddy bear suddenly appeared and slammed into him, taking them both down to the ground and away from the entrance so that Arit could leave!
Arit turned and saw Talia with a desperate look on her face, and Arit thanked her before she blasted out from the hole in the wall and vanished into the distance!
BANG!
“Everybody get down right now! You’re under arrest! Get down!”
The door leading to the hotel room was suddenly blown to pieces, and Jeanne watched and made sure that Arit was already far enough that they couldn’t even see her in the distance before she put her hand up in the air and allowed the policemen to cuff her without resisting.
…
Down on the road in front of the Red Lotus Hotel, Patrick came down from his car and stared up at the destroyed hotel in shock. Patrick just managed to catch Arit’s silhouette as she vanished into the horizon, and Patrick knew that he was too late. Patrick brought up his phone and dialed Mark’s number.
Ring~ Ring~ Ring~
[Sorry, the number you are trying to call is currently not reachable. Please try again later.]
The call didn’t go through, and Patrick could only sum up the situation in one word.
“Fuck.”
…
The effects of Mark’s exit from the world were something that every city could feel immediately. The absence of the KING sent a tremor across the senses of every anima existing in America, and they realized as one that their largest threat had been removed from this plane of existence.
All over the world, scientists working at meteorological sites, as well as astrologists and geologists, frowned as they started to get strange readings on their scanners. There were large clusters of earth moving and shaking all over America.
The entire federation of America trembled as a massive earthquake, scaling 7.0 on the Richter scale, rocked the landmass. The earth started to split open, and even the oceans began to churn and rage in fury.
Patrick could also feel the ground under his feet shaking, but he didn’t pay it any mind as he saw Jeanne being led out in handcuffs by a police officer.
“Jeanne! What happened to Mark!?”
Jeanne turned her head once she heard Patrick shouting and shouted back.
“He vanished with a blond boy! I don’t know where they are! You need to get to safety! I think an earthquake is coming!”
Jeanne was forced into a car before she could say more, and Patrick watched as Talia was also put in the car beside Jeanne, and they were both taken away. A police officer started to approach Patrick to ask him questions, but Patrick quickly got back in his car and raced towards his safe house in City C. Patrick knew that the tremors were caused by the anima clusters he had seen, but without Mark, there was nothing he could do by himself. If Patrick knew things would get out of hand like this, he would have given the information out earlier. But he didn’t know that Mark was under attack, nor did he think that Mark would fucking vanish like he did.
Patrick had to get to a secure location and then spread his findings out to the rest of the country to at least give them a fighting chance.

[City B – Lucifer’s Watering Hole]
Tilda, the yellow Phantom, walked down the street leading to Lucifer’s Watering Hole with her head bowed and her hands in the pockets of her large hoodie. She was wearing a face cap, so she was sure none of the residents around would notice who she was. Even though Tilda was not that popular in City B since her guild was mainly active in City C, that didn’t mean one or two people wouldn’t recognize her in the underground. And once one person knew that she was here, it was only a matter of time before Sasha found out as well.
After getting the call from Mark about A’s disappearance, Tilda came down to check and make sure that nothing bad happened to her. Tilda already went to A’s agency to ask if they had heard anything from her, but they told her that they hadn’t heard anything since she went out to get information here at Lucifer’s Watering Hole, so Tilda figured that if she was going to find anything, it would be here.
There were a few drunkards stumbling their way out of the bar when Tilda got there. One of them was so drunk that he didn’t even see her and stumbled right into her! Tilda was much stronger than him, so the man ended up falling to the side and sprawling on his ass with a grunt.
“Ugh, watch where ya going, ya bitch! Can’t ya see I’m walking here!”
The man slurred out an insult while raising his bottle of vodka at Tilda, and Tilda only gave him a side glance that showed just how angry she was at the moment. The man seemed to almost sober up the instant she glared at him, and he turned around with another muttered curse and started to crawl away. The man was only a normal human, so he stood no chance against the pressure that Tilda’s presence had.
Tilda turned back to the bar and was about to go inside, but she stopped when she noticed something strange.
‘The ground is shaking.’
