Chapter 487: You’re Very Different
“RARRGH!”
SQUELCH!
Arit roared in anger as she tore the anima’s head clean off its body, and a bloodthirsty smile spread on her lips as she shot towards another anima.
‘I’m hungry.’
Shut up! I’m busy right now!
‘I’m hungry!’
The QUEEN kept shouting in Arit’s head, and Arit growled in annoyance as she took to the sky again and ignored it! Since Arit could fly, it was easy for her to stay out of the reach of any anima that tried to catch her. She would just come in and attack one of them before taking to the sky again when they tried to get her.
Finally, after killing more than ten anima like this, Arit landed behind Luna and tried to catch her breath as she eyed the monsters surrounding them. That empty feeling was back again. Arit felt like there was a hole inside her body that she couldn’t fill no matter what. What the hell is this?
‘I’m hungry!’
Stop. Just stop. I can’t fight with you talking in my head.
Arit begged the QUEEN to keep quiet, and it surprisingly went silent again, finally stopping its distractions. Arit was breathing heavily, and her hands and face were covered in the blood of the anima she had killed, but Luna looked as calm as ever as she gazed around. Arit eyed Luna curiously when she noticed that Luna wasn’t even out of breath. Luna’s eyes were surveying the region, but Arit could tell that Luna was mostly focused on the three large Eldritch monsters that still hadn’t moved.
“You’re not going all out, are you?”
Arit spoke up to Luna, and Luna only glanced back at her calmly before nodding in confirmation. It was true that Luna wasn’t going all out. The main reason for this was because she was saving her energy for those Eldritch monsters that were still standing in the distance. If Luna used up all her stamina now, it would be hell fighting against those monsters. But Luna was also holding back because of who they were fighting against.
“I don’t know what will happen to the ALTERWORLD if I kill Sasha. The world is part of her blessing, so if I kill her, then her world could also disappear and—”
“And trap Mark in there.”
Arit’s eyes widened in shock as she finished Luna’s sentence, and Luna just nodded. Luna could have already caused some serious damage to Sasha if she went all out, but she was being careful not to kill her in case the ALTERWORLD would disappear once Sasha died. Luna was just trying to find the best way to get rid of all the anima around them so they could have a straight path to Sasha.
“Try to pull your punches if you face Sasha. She’s a lot like me, she has high mana points, but her physical strength is one of the lowest among the SOVEREIGNS. If you hit her too hard, you might even end up killing her.”
“Then we should capture her and torture her into telling us how to bring Mark out. We can cut out her eyeballs, or tear her arms off and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine.”
Arit suddenly spoke up with a dark glare on her face, and Luna turned to look at her in disbelief once she heard what she said. Luna couldn’t believe those words came from the same sweet and caring Arit she had just been talking to a few minutes ago.
“You’re very violent when you’re in this form. You’re almost like a different person.”
“What the fuck are you talking about?”
Arit eyed Luna irritably, and Luna just shook her head.
“Nothing. Forget I said anything.”
Luna decided she didn’t want to go anywhere near that conversation. Arit’s personality switch when she was in her anima form was just too shocking, and Luna couldn’t believe that a normal girl could say something as twisted as that.
Sasha was standing on the other end of the clearing while glaring at the two women. Sasha had hoped that Luna would be here alone, but Arit being here was throwing her plans off by making her split the anima in two. If all her anima had gone after Luna, then Sasha knew that Luna would already be dead tired by now, and the Eldritch would be able to finish her off.
Sasha decided that sending the smaller Calamities after Luna and Arit was just going to end up wasting her time. The Calamities were strong, but they wouldn’t do much against those two. Sasha put her hand up and called on the large Eldritch-class monsters behind her, grinning as she saw both Luna and Arit tense once the monsters began to move. All three monsters were huge, towering over everyone at more than ten meters tall! With large, diverse body shapes, it was almost impossible not to be afraid when facing them!
The largest one of them was a massive ape-like anima holding a large wooden club in its hand. It had large, bulging muscles and sharp canines that peaked through its mouth whenever it growled.
The ape was flanked by a large black lion-headed anima with the body of an alligator on the right and a humanoid-looking hippo on the left. Every time the humanoid hippo anima breathed out, plumes of smoke and wisps of fire would come from its mouth, so Arit could guess that it had some fire-based ability.
Arit eyed all three monsters cautiously, knowing that she wasn’t strong enough to win against any of them. If she even tried, she would be squashed before she could get a single hit in! Arit’s anima instincts were at their sharpest now that she had accepted her anima form, so she knew better than to rush into a fight she was already sure she would lose.
PHWOOM!

The entire clearing started to grow colder as a sharp wind picked up in the region! Arit turned to her left and saw Luna with her hands joined together as she glared at the three monsters. Now that Sasha was no longer holding back, Luna decided she was also going to go all out, pouring out mana to start the fight.
ROARR!
ROARRR!
ROARR!
But before Luna could finish whatever she had been planning, loud roars echoed from the remaining Calamity-class monsters around as they charged for Luna and Arit. Since Arit couldn’t help out with the Eldritch, she decided she was at least going to buy Luna time!
“Don’t stop what you’re doing! I’ll distract the smaller ones so you can focus on the Eldritch!”
Arit shouted to Luna as she blasted into the sky towards the approaching monsters. Luna was about to tell Arit not to do anything stupid, but she just grit her teeth and continued gathering her mana for her attack. Luna needed the time!
