Strongest Superhuman System - Chapter 511
Chapter 511: Rescue Mission
The president asked Alpha Ten where the rest of the Alphas were, and she mentioned that they were all around America doing their best to help out the other superhumans. Marylin already learned that the Alphas were sent by Henry, so she didn’t bother to ask them too many questions about who they were or where they came from. Marylin recognized the weapons that the Alphas were using and knew that those were the same ones that S-ranks found hard to use for any extended amount of time. A single A-rank couldn’t fire even one of those machine guns without running out of mana in minutes, and yet here was some random man using two of the machine guns like they were toys.
Marylin was obviously curious about where the Alphas got this much power from, but she knew that now was not the time to be questioning anybody. Marylin could find out where they got their power after they get out of this dangerous situation. For now, as long as they were helping out with the subjugation of the anima, she didn’t care where they came from.
BOOM!
Suddenly, a large explosion from another screen drew everyone’s attention. This time, it was City B, and they all felt their eyes widen as they saw a monster that was even larger than the Elder Eldritch that Alec Ben and Alpha Two had been fighting. This time, it was a snake that had coiled its way around one of the largest buildings in the city and was currently crushing the building under the force of its tough muscles. The snake was humongous—more than six hundred meters long with a three-meter-tall body that was layered with rough, brown skin! The snake turned up to the sky and hissed at one of the broadcasting helicopters that was passing by, and everyone recoiled as they saw the endless darkness inside the snake’s mouth. The snake’s fangs were as tall as a fully grown man, and they knew that anyone taken in by such a creature would never see the light of day again!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
But before they could even fully realize the danger they were in, another man appeared from the side! He was hanging out the window of a large helicopter and holding a huge rocket launcher over his shoulder that he was using to target the snake’s head! Three consecutive blasts from the rocket launcher slammed into the snake, disorienting it and making it change its focus from the news helicopter to the man! It hissed in anger and launched itself toward the helicopter, and the man quickly fired off three more blasts into the snake’s mouth before he jumped from the helicopter!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The blasts rocked the snake from the inside and made it miss its target by a wide margin, allowing the helicopter that had been carrying the man to escape. The man who had been shooting quickly brought out a large sword from behind him as he prepared to attack the snake. Alpha Seven spoke up from behind the president.
“That is Alpha One, the leader of the Alphas. You can trust that he is more than capable of taking down an Elder Eldritch all on his own.”
Marylin could still feel her heart slamming against her rib cage furiously, and she released a shaky breath and nodded nervously after that heart-pounding scene. So that was their leader. Marylin still remembered how difficult it was for GHOST and Luna to take down two Elder Eldritch monsters earlier this month, and she could tell that those two were very strong. If this Alpha One was capable of taking down an Elder Eldritch all on his own, then didn’t that mean he was just as strong or maybe even stronger than GHOST and Luna? What sort of monsters did Henry send into the field?
“There’s another Elder Eldritch! They’re showing up all over the country!”
A man shouted as another Elder Eldritch monster started to break its way out from underground! It was obvious that the superhumans available would not be able to handle the Elder Eldritchs without more help, but they were doing their best to evacuate all the civilians while keeping the Elder Eldritch at bay for as long as possible. George felt his hands shaking in fear as he tightened them together and hunched over. Maybe Marylin was right about that air strike. The way things are going now, they won’t be able to do anything if an Armageddon shows up. They would all die.
George turned to the screens showing Luna and Arit’s fight against Sasha again, and he hoped that they would finish her off soon. Things were not looking good, and the country could really use Luna’s help right now. GHOST had been missing for a long time, and they couldn’t put their hope in him showing up anytime soon, so they could only pray that the forces they had were enough to keep the enemies at bay.

[In the upper districts of City C – With Turner and Tina]
“Come on, we have to get out of here!”
A loud female voice rang out over the sound of buildings falling over and explosions echoing in the distance! The woman was one of the members of the Superhuman Alliance that Turner brought along with him on a rescue mission that he was currently carrying out.
After the whole issue with Maria, Turner still remembered promising her that he would save her mother and make sure that she was safe. All the students of Nature Academy had been taken to a bunker under the school where they were currently waiting out the disaster. Turner knew that the bunker was strong enough to withstand a calamity-class attack, so he did not worry about going back to help them. Instead, he decided that he would come out to help Maria’s mother while saving as many people as possible along the way. After going through the security footage outside Maria’s house and tracking her mother down to this location, one of the superhumans who had the ability to locate people using sonic waves like a bat was able to pinpoint the location of multiple people trapped in and around the building. The Superhuman Alliance agents worked hard to get all the people out, but Turner was the last one left as he was trying to get Maria’s mother out from the basement under a collapsed building.
Finally, after what seemed like hours but was really only a few minutes, a large section of the building crumpled to dust under Turner’s powers as he walked out from underground with the Maria’s mother strapped to his back with a long rope. she was unconscious and there was blood leaking from a gash on her head, but other than that, she looke fine.
Turner nodded to the woman who had been keeping watch for him in thanks, and she just told him that they had to get out of there before another anima showed up. Most of the other superhumans around were also carrying unconscious humans, and they all started to run once they saw Turner arriving from underground.
