Strongest Superhuman System - Chapter 516
Chapter 516: Tomb Stone
A massive explosion echoed behind them, followed by the sound of stones crumbling as the large stone wall was suddenly run through by the bull anima! The anima looked around for a second before it looked towards where Tyler was carrying Turner and running! The human was getting away! That is its prey!
The bull made a loud, agitated sound before it started to run towards them with anger burning in its eyes, but before it could go far, the area around its feet erupted into sand and metal! A large wall of metal sand rose from the ground and grabbed the bull in a hand created from the sand, and as a man standing on top of a building in the distance clenched his fist, the hand made from sand also clenched and crushed the bull in one go!
Tyler turned his head to the side once he located the person who helped them and gave the vice-captain of the Moonlight guild a nod of thanks, and the vice-captain also nodded back and waved Tyler on to tell him to take the twins to safety.
Tyler had been coming down here to see if there were any survivors when he ran into a group that said the twins saved them and then stayed behind to give them a chance to run away. The group begged Tyler to go and help the twins, and even though Tyler was determined to go and help, he knew that if it was an anima that Tina couldn’t beat, then he wouldn’t stand a chance either. But thankfully, the vice-captain of the Moonlight guild had been on his way to the lower districts of City A, and they ran into him on their way to help the twins. Tyler told him about their plan, and he said that he would take care of the anima so they could evacuate the twins. He was an upper-level S-class that was almost a step away from heading into the realms of the SOVEREIGN, and since he hadn’t fought much recently, he had more than enough mana, so he wouldn’t have a problem taking care of a few calamity-class anima.
Once the vice-captain was sure that Tyler and the others were far enough, he poured mana out from his body and flooded the entire street with his metal sand, pouring it around the anima and drowning them in the loose sand. The anima all tried their best to escape from the sand. Those that could fly were trying to get away, but he just lashed out with a tendril of sand and grabbed them before dragging them back into the sandstorm, and before long all of them were covered in sand.
He then spoke two words.
“Tomb Stone.”
CRACK!
The sand suddenly hardened to unimaginable levels, and all the anima that were inside felt their bodies crack from the intense force they were suddenly subjected to! The man loosened his hand, and the sand loosened and returned back under the earth to reveal all the dead anima. Once he was sure that none of them would be moving anymore, he turned and left.
He hadn’t heard from Captain Luna since she left to find that Arit girl, and he had to make sure nothing had happened to her. The other members of the guild were all at City S, trying to help out with the worst of the anima outbreaks, and although he was supposed to be with them as well, he told the other vice-captains to take over so he could come down to City A.
Rumble~!
A deep rumble shook the ground under his feet, and he narrowed his eyes as he realized this was probably from Luna’s fight all the way in the lower districts. Was she fighting against something strong enough to push her this far?
The man sped up and hurried towards the lower districts.

[Lower Districts of City A – With Luna and Arit]
SQUELCH!
Arit stabbed her hand through the head of a disaster-class anima and then jumped back to avoid a wild swing from the stinger of a scorpion anima! She ducked under another swing and dashed forward to grab the tail in her hand and pull!
SQUELCH!
The anima screeched in pain as its tail was torn off, and Arit felt all the air leave her body as another anima slammed into her with reckless abandon! Arit quickly took to the sky to avoid getting piled on by the large horde of anima, and she started to dodge the flying anima that quickly came after her.
It’s been about an hour since Arit and Luna started this fight. At first, things were starting to look like they would end in their victory once Luna killed the two low-ranked Eldritch monsters, but after their fight started to create too many tremors on the ground, more anima from all around the city started to congregate in this area, and they were forced to separate once more.
Luna was currently trying her best to fight against the Elder Eldritch and Sasha, while Arit was keeping the other anima that had appeared at bay to give Luna a better chance of winning. Arit knew that Luna was stronger than Sasha, and if it was a matter of simply killing Sasha, then Arit was certain that Luna would have won already. But trying to kill the Elder Eldritch while keeping Sasha away without killing her was proving to be difficult.
Arit looked towards where Luna was jumping away from the Elder Eldritch’s wild swings of its club and cursed as she quickly swerved to the side to avoid a laser beam from one of the anima following behind her! If not for Arit’s natural instincts, she would have completely missed that laser beam!
Arit knew that even though she was a lot stronger than before thanks to the mana she absorbed from the Eldritch monster, she didn’t have the ability to take on this many anima at the same time. Sooner or later, one of them would take her down! Arit could only hope that Luna could end her fight quickly.
On the other side of the clearing, Luna was jumping back from the anima with her eyes set in a look of concentration! Sasha appeared from behind Luna and tried to attack from her blindside, but Luna easily dodged around it and formed a large block of ice around Sasha!
Crack!
Luna jumped back as the ice block cracked, and before long, it broke into pieces as Sasha jumped out and chased Luna down again! Luna cursed as she focused on what she had been doing since the start of the fight. Luna knew that Sasha was stronger than most S-ranks, so she wasn’t surprised that the attack didn’t hold up for long. But from how Sasha was moving, Luna could tell that she was already running on fumes. Sasha was not a front-line fighter, and since she had been trying to get Luna together with her anima, Sasha was already very low on stamina.
Luna looked within herself and nodded internally as she saw that she had about fourty percent of her mana left.
If it was this much, then it was possible to finish them both with it!
