Strongest Superhuman System - Chapter 523
Chapter 523: The Final Boss
“You said there was a problem?”
General Raj spoke up, and Pat’s voice came through the comms. Pat hacked into the general’s system and brought up a map on the large screen that showed the general vicinity of City G. The general was still a little irritated by how easy it was for Pat to do this, but he didn’t let that stop him from listening to Pat.
[This over here. This red dot that looks like an underground anima nest. At first, I thought it was just another cluster that would soon resurface, but now I’m not so sure about that. It hasn’t moved since the fighting started, and now that I’m looking at it again, I don’t think it’s a cluster.]
The general narrowed his eyes in confusion before they slowly widened.
“A single anima. You think that thing is an anima?”
[More than likely. If there were multiple anima, I would be able to tell. But it’s too solid to be more than one entity. It’s below City G, but it hasn’t shown any signs of surfacing. I think you should start thinking of evacuation before it does.]
General Raj nodded, and he was about to do just that. But suddenly, there was a shift in the air that shook the entire country right down to its foundation!
That large anima under City G was specifically created by Salazar to be the final boss responsible for destroying the country once and for all. He created it in a way that it would only reveal itself after he had finished killing Mark and he came back to the world. And even though no one knew it, Mark and Salazar were now back in the real world, and so the large anima below City G began to stir.
The entire city began to shake as massive earthquakes rocked the ground! The people who were still in City G tried their best to get out of there as quickly as possible, while those who couldn’t get out were crushed under the falling debris.
A large hand that looked wide enough to grab a cargo ship like a toy tore itself out from underground and slammed into the street! It slowly pulled itself out from underground. Its body was black and filled with patches that showed it had been created from the skin of multiple anima, melded and genetically combined into a giant, grotesque, human-like monster. The creature grabbed hold of a skyscraper at the side with one of its hands and finally pulled itself free from its earthen prison, and it stood at more than two hundred meters tall (200 yards), high enough to touch the sky with its hands.
It was an Armageddon Class Anima, the greatest achievement of Salazar’s labs that took him more than ten years to complete. Its head was bald and faceless, with no defining features on it, but in the middle of its forehead, there was a crystal with the body of a superhuman frozen within it.
The crystal pulsed as the anima’s face slowly split in half, revealing a dark abyss of a mouth that widened to unleash a massive roar into the sky!
SCREEEEEEECHHH!!
People all around the city held their hands up to their heads in pain as they tried to block out the sound, but the anima were not affected at all. In fact, all the anima all over the country that heard the scream immediately abandoned their fights and started to migrate as one entity towards the Armageddon. They answered the call of the Armageddon as they all began to race towards it like moths to a light!
In the military surveillance room, General Raj just stared at his screen, trying his best to comprehend what it was that he was seeing. That wasn’t an Eldritch. Years of seeing Eldritch-class monsters had given him an almost perfect ability to identify them.
So that meant that it was an Armageddon?
“We’re actually going to die today.”
[General! Get your head in the fucking game! We need to start rerouting the superhumans to reduce casualties!]
Pat’s voice rang through the comms and managed to snap the general out of his stupor quickly enough for him to start giving orders out to the soldiers with him. Pat was also stunned by the appearance of the Armageddon, but he knew that crying about it wouldn’t do anything. They had to start making plans.
In his secure bunker deep in the safe regions of City B, Pat grit his teeth in desperation. Where the hell was Mark? Things were getting out of hand already, and Pat knew that it wouldn’t be long before the continent fell because of the appearance of this Armageddon. Not even the new super soldiers that suddenly appeared looked powerful enough to take on something like that.
“It’s doing something!”
One of the soldiers in the office with General Raj shouted while pointing at the screen, and both Pat and General Raj turned to it quickly as they saw the monster pulling its head back. There were many helicopters carrying superhumans through the air as well as other superhumans on the ground around the monster, and Pat noticed that the monster was aiming at them! The crystal in the middle of its forehead suddenly shone with an iridescent light, and the monster slammed its feet into the ground and shot its head forward!
KA-TOOM!!!
A massive beam of mana shot out of the crystal and flew toward the helicopter at a breakneck pace! Almost all the superhumans in the helicopters jumped out once they saw the beam, but some of them weren’t so lucky as the beam hit them head-on!
BOOM!!
The beam eviscerated everything in its path and continued on into the distance before ending in a massive explosion that lit up the night sky like the sun!
KA-BOOM!!
For a long time, Pat had no idea what to say.
The Armageddon rose to its full height once more before it started to move forward slowly. It was slightly hunched over like a monkey and held onto the buildings around it for support since it was only just learning to walk, but each step it took shook the ground under its feet, sending buildings toppling over and destroying large areas like they were made from sand. Pat quickly searched the map to see what direction the anima was moving in, and his eyes widened when he saw that it was moving towards City A!
But in its path were not only City D and City B, but also City S! They evacuated a lot of civilians to City S! If the anima goes there, then Pat couldn’t even begin to count the number of casualties that would turn up!

[General! The Armageddon is going to pass through City S! We have to get it to change directions!]
Pat shouted towards the general desperately, and the general almost cursed at him! How the fuck would they make something like this change direction!? It was like asking a man to move a mountain!
“We don’t have anyone that can handle this!”
[Then call those Alpha people and tell them to go help out! If that anima gets to City S, all our hard work would have been for nothing!]
