Strongest Superhuman System - Chapter 559
Chapter 559: The Next Trial
It wasn’t just because her father knew that she was a murderer now. Arit also didn’t know if she could forgive her father for what he did.
Mark sensed how Arit became downcast after mentioning her parents, and he just held her and told her that it would be fine. Mark knew he would have to talk to Arthur sometime in the future. Maybe after things settled down a little in the country, Mark would seek him out and have that conversation with him. Arthur needed to understand that Arit wasn’t the person he thought she was.
That had been earlier in the evening, and after a few intense rounds between the three of them, the two girls had gone to sleep, leaving Mark alone with his thoughts.
Mark was fixing up the stats and skill points that he had recently gotten from his system. He was about to finally make his way into a different dimension for a new mission, and Mark didn’t want to be caught off guard by whatever Freya had prepared for him over there.
[Does the User wish to send Stat points to the Selected Stats? Yes/No]
Mark chose yes, and the system brought up a notification tab showing him his changes.

‘I’ll have to work on that soon. Maybe in the next upgrade, I’ll focus more on those three. It’s not like they are lagging behind too much, with what I have here, I won’t have any issues moving around and I won’t be getting tired in the middle of a battle anytime soon.”

Mark didn’t feel put-off by the system’s message because he knew that he had been neglecting those three stats for a while now. But it wasn’t like Mark was doing it just for the sake of it. Mark needed to improve his mana and strength during those fights because of the high mana-consuming skills that the system kept giving him, so Mark didn’t regret a thing.
Mark then glanced over at his skills and started to think about what the hell to do with them. Mark only had 2500 skill points to share between all his skills, and all of Mark’s skills were currently at a level where that amount of points wouldn’t do a single thing for them. Even the smallest of the skills now require more than 3200 skill points to level up.
Wouldn’t it be a waste to try and throw skill points to a random skill like this?
Mark could just start stacking skill points into the skills that he thinks he would need later on so that when he gets more, he could finally finish leveling them up. But Mark knew that it would be a waste. There was a likelihood that Mark could get a new skill later on, and if he didn’t have skill points to help him in leveling up that skill, he wouldn’t be able to use it for a while.
Mark decided that he would just wait until he either gets more skill points to add to the ones he already had or gets a new skill that the 2500 skill points will be able to level up to a useful level.
Mark closed the tabs that had opened in the system and willed the [Key of Immortal Love] to appear in his hand. Mark turned the key over a few times with a curious look, and he wondered what sort of trial he was going to be thrown into this time. With a name like [Key of Immortal Love], Mark wouldn’t be surprised if it had something to do with love or friendship.
Mark frowned and then sighed tiredly. It didn’t really matter anyway. He was only doing this to get the reward at the end of the trial, so whatever he meets in there was just going to be another stepping stone.
Mark turned to his left to glance at Arit’s sleeping form. She had the bedsheet covering half her body, but her naked breasts were exposed as she lay on her side, and Mark felt another stirring somewhere in his crotch. Mark had to grit his teeth and struggle to control himself. He put a hand on Arit’s thigh, and Arit smiled softly in her sleep before turning over to lie on her stomach. Mark grinned before turning to look at Luna.
Luna was sleeping like a fucking koala bear. She was hugging a large part of the blanket, and her body was curled up as she pressed the blanket to her chest. Her body was completely exposed, but she didn’t look like she was affected at all by the cold. Mark put a hand on her thigh and raised a brow when he felt how freaking cold her skin was. Was she really comfortable sleeping like this?
Luna hummed at Mark’s touch, and one of her eyes opened slightly to glance at him. Luna wasn’t used to anyone touching her in her sleep, so it was a reflex for her to wake up once she felt someone close by. But once she saw that it was only Mark, she smiled again and went back to sleep while mumbling something incoherent. Mark just squeezed Luna’s thigh with that same grin on his face.
‘Well, I guess it doesn’t matter. She can control ice, so maybe this is just something that doesn’t affect her.’
Mark still didn’t know how this relationship between the three of them would end up. Arit and Luna looked like they really liked each other, and from the interactions that Mark had seen them having, Mark could tell that they were friends. But Mark knew that Arit was making a lot of compromises by allowing him to be with Luna at all. Mark wasn’t going to jump to conclusions and say that he loved Luna, but if there was any one person in this world that he could be in a polygamous relationship with, then it was definitely Luna.
‘I’ll just have to make it work somehow. Maybe we’ll go on a date or something when the country is done rebuilding so we can relax. I did promise Luna a meal, and I haven’t taken Arit out in a while.’
Mark nodded to himself before he turned back to the key and activated the system.
‘Send me in.’
Mark blinked, and he was gone.
