Chapter 560: Peace Keeper of Rosario
Mark reappeared in the middle of an empty void. There was nothing but darkness for as far as the eye could see, and when Mark looked down, he saw that he was standing on a sea of darkness that rippled each time he moved his feet.
‘Strange.’
Mark was wearing the same black singlet and joggers he had been wearing in bed. His gauntlets and mask were already equipped in case of any form of ambush, and on his feet, he wore a pair of Nike trainers.
A large blue system tab appeared in front of Mark, and he looked up to glance at it.
[Welcome to The Third Trial: Peace Keeper of Rosario]
[The User has been transported into the World of Rosario, crafted by the Goddess Freya one thousand years ago. For the past one hundred years, the world has been caught up in a war between the demons and angels that has decimated more than twenty percent of the population.]
[The mission given to the User by the Goddess Freya is to find a way to revert this war and return Rosario back to its peaceful era. The User will be reincarnated as the ruler of the Demons, a wicked and malevolent race that finds pleasure in cruelty, and over the span of the mission, the User is to slowly move towards ensuring that the Demons and Angels sign a peace treaty that will prevent any form of violence between the two races.]
[The User has been given a time limit of one month for this mission. Should the User fail to accomplish the task in the given time period, the User will forfeit his rewards and receive a punishment for failure.]
‘A time limit, eh? That’s new.’
Mark had never had a time limit on any of these trials before, so he found it strange that Freya was giving him something like that. Mark thought that, with how she was the goddess of love and all, she would be one of the more lax goddesses who didn’t care about how things were carried out so long as they were accomplished, but apparently, she wasn’t.
‘It’ll be difficult to try and fix a hundred-year war in a month though, and it’ll be even more difficult since I’m gonna be one of the demons. From what I’ve heard about demons, they’re usually the ones that start wars like these. Doesn’t that mean I’m gonna be trying to make the victims sign a peace treaty with their enemies? This is going to be fucking difficult, so I’ll have to start once I get there. You just couldn’t make it easy for me, could you, Freya?’
Mark continued reading.
[Due to the difference in power between the User and the inhabitants of the world of Rosarioa, the User will receive a restriction on his powers.]
[The User is only allowed to use three skills – Two Active Skills and one Divine Skill – during the trial. Please choose which skills the User wishes to keep active for the duration of the Trial.]
Mark frowned in annoyance as he saw this message. It was very similar to the way his skills were limited during that first trial that Thanatos had for him. Well, even though this looked like a bad thing, it also gave Mark some insight into the world that he was going to be arriving in. If the system thinks it’s necessary to reduce his active skills, then that meant Mark was not going to be weaker than anyone in that world. Or at least, there won’t be many people there who can stand toe to toe with him.
‘If it’s like this, then it’ll be easier to start working on a plan immediately. I won’t have to worry about being hit by an attack that can kill me before I even bring up the possibility of a peace treaty.’
[Please Choose The Two Active Skills You Wish To Keep For The Duration Of The Trial]
– Full Body Constitution [Innate Skills: Negation, Void Slash]
– Mana Circulation
– Taunting
– Blunt Force Trauma
– True Sight
– Demonic Killer’s Aura
– Healing Aura
Mark glanced through the list of skills, wondering which ones would be most suitable for any situation. Mark had no idea what sort of world he was walking into or how the terrain would be, so he could only make a choice based on how useful a skill would be in any situation at all.
And from the way the system structured the choices, Mark could tell that one of his best choices there was Full Body Constitution. It had two Innate Skills, so choosing that one would give him an extra boost. It was practically two for the price of one.
After that, Mark decided to pick up Blunt Force Trauma as well. Mark would have chosen Healing Aura, or maybe even Mana Circulation since those two were useful in the middle of battles, but Mark didn’t use those skills as much as he used Blunt Force Trauma, and they weren’t as useful either. Mark’s natural healing factor was already fast, so he knew that even without the Healing Aura, he would be able to heal from most injuries in a few days at most. So long as Mark didn’t get his freaking arm blown off, he should be fine with most injuries. And Mana Circulation’s ability to boost his strength wasn’t as high as Blunt Force Trauma’s force multiplier. Mark would rather have an exponential increase in some of his hits than the slight increase that Mana Circulation provides constantly.
Mark chose these two skills and the system brought up a prompt.
[Does the User wish to choose these two Active Skills? This choice cannot be changed for the duration of the Trial…]
Mark chose yes and watched as all the other skills on his tab faded to gray to show that they were no longer active, leaving behind the two skills that he chose. Mark frowned once more in slight irritation before shaking his head and deciding to just get used to it.

Another prompt came up, asking Mark to choose the Divine Skill that he would want to take with him.
[Please Choose The One Divine Skill The User Wishes To Keep For The Duration Of The Trial]
– Styxwatcher’s Discernment
– Achilles Heel
– Ignorance of The Death God
– Aegis of Ares
– Crown of The Golden Horizon
Mark sighed as he saw all his divine skills. This one was going to be fucking difficult.
Each and every one of these skills had become part of Mark over the past few months, and Mark knew that any one of them would be very useful in this trial. Telling Mark to choose just one was just twisted.
Mark glanced over all the skills for more than a minute, just weighing the pros and cons of each one and trying to see what he could gain from choosing them. Finally, after a long time, Mark made a choice.
[Does the User wish to choose [Crown of The Golden Horizon] as his Divine Skill? The User will not be able to change his choice for the duration of the Trial.]
Mark chose yes and the system accepted his choice as all his other divine skills turned gray.
[User has selected [Crown of The Golden Horizon] as his Divine Skill.]
