Strongest Superhuman System - Chapter 595
Chapter 595: Hell
It left a bitter taste in Daniel’s mouth that they were putting their trust in information from one of those snake-like demons, but they didn’t have much of a choice. With the constant changes in battle formations that came with each new demon lord, the angels were at a constant loss as to how to develop a counter to the threat of the demons. Each demon lord that the demon summoned was a new tactician and strategist in his own right, so there was never any one way to deal with the demon army.
If not for the informant telling them a lot about the demons and how each demon lord wanted to carry out their attack, the angels would have suffered a lot more losses in battle.
Daniel spoke up as they walked out into the compound where the angels were getting ready and they quickly started making their way toward the gates leading out of the circular stronghold.
“We’ll follow that demon’s instructions for now. But once they’ve outlived their usefulness, get rid of them. I don’t trust any one of those bottom feeders.”
James agreed easily and collected the spear that one of his squires handed to him. He was already wearing a breastplate that gleamed silver in the waning light. He wore a pair of trousers and a white shirt underneath the breastplate, and on his left arm, he had a gauntlet that he used for defense against swords. James was a magic spearman, so he couldn’t use a shield since he needed at least one hand free for crafting magic circles in the air.
Daniel, meanwhile, was a berserker who used a sword and shield. He only used mana to strengthen his body, and as a last resort when facing a tough opponent. Daniel took his sword and shield from another young squire who approached him before he put on a metal breastplate similar to James’ over a pair of trousers and a shirt.
“Remember that we won’t be able to fly freely in the downpour, so focus more on making sure the demons don’t make it to the shore in one piece. Organize the troops as we planned and have them launch attacks from a distance. High-level spear and arrow magic should bring down a few ships and reduce their numbers.”
Daniel turned toward James and spoke in a more serious tone, and James nodded seriously once he saw the look in Daniel’s eyes. They were now going into battle, so they all had to play their part to perfection. Thankfully, they had already fought against the demons many times in these waters, so they knew it like the back of their hands. Even the demons that had been using this island long before them wouldn’t be able to surprise them at all!
James went to complete the orders, and Daniel turned toward the ocean once more, narrowing his eyes as he stared out into the horizon. His teeth were still electric.

Mark stood before the demon army that was set and ready to head out into the water for the raid. The weather had worsened even more, drowning the area in darkness as a slight drizzle descended from the heavens, and harsh winds blew across the land. But the warships behind the demons stood tall and unshaken even in the face of such intensity.
The ships were fifty meters long and more than twenty meters high. Each had a large pair of masts holding strong sails that were currently tied up so that they wouldn’t be dragged away by the wind. They were made from a strange black wood that Mark didn’t recognize from any of the trees he had seen back on Earth, and when Mark asked Hunn earlier about what type of wood the ships were made from, Hunn identified it as Gree wood, something that was only native to the demon continent. The wood was fire, rot, and impact-resistant, making it one of the best types of materials for crafting.
While most wooden structures would break with only a small amount of force, structures made from Gree wood were capable of charging straight through a concrete wall without suffering any significant damage! But the wood was not completely indestructible, so with enough force or magic, it could still be destroyed.
Regardless, Mark couldn’t help but think that the wood looked majestic. It made the warships look like messengers from hell, and with the darkness that was currently descending on the land, it would give them perfect camouflage that would allow them to sneak up on the angels using the storm!
Mark was standing on a high rock, looking down on the demons gathered below him. Mark had no idea how the demons were able to constantly follow a general they didn’t know until only a few days ago with such fervor, but Mark chalked it up to tradition. Back on Earth, people wouldn’t follow a general who hadn’t proved himself to them. But here, the demons easily followed Mark into battle only a few days after he was summoned, and even though Mark had now proven himself to them with his battle abilities shown in the previous fight, it was still something Mark didn’t fully understand.
But Mark didn’t care as he gazed upon all the demons below him who were looking up at him expectantly. Mark could feel from each and every one of them that they were looking up to him for victory in this battle. They wanted to win no matter what and get back their land from the angels, and they were more than willing to put all their faith in him if he could give them that victory. Mark was going to do just that!
Mark raised his hand into the air, and everyone felt their morale get a massive boost as Mark’s body glowed with a golden light! Mark’s shout echoed through the entire region, rising above the winds in a mad roar.
“Men! Today we take back what they have stolen from us! GIVE THEM HELL!!”
“RAARRRGGGHHH!!”
The demons all roared with a deep resounding yell that shook the very ground under their feet! They stomped their feet on the ground and slammed their swords against their shields! They all felt like they could win against a thousand men with the boost from Mark’s skill giving them a mad adrenaline rush! Mark looked out over all of them with a grin on his face and put his hand out to the ships, ordering them to begin boarding.
The winds picked up in the area, and the drizzle suddenly increased, rising into a torrential downpour that reduced visibility and drenched everything in water. The demons marched toward their ships without any fear, all welcoming the rain! They were going to use the winds brought by the storm to sail to the island! Why would they be afraid of their ally!?
Mark turned to the side and reached out to Arit. Arit came to him and gave him a gentle kiss before she pulled back and spoke.
“Be careful, Mark.”
Mark nodded before looking toward one of the larger ships docked at the shore and started to move toward it to board. Arit also followed after Mark to board her ship.
