Strongest Superhuman System - Chapter 632
Chapter 632: The Demon Lord’s Plan
Mark’s plan was simple. Now that things had gone this far, Mark knew that the likelihood of the demons just stopping and going back home was slim to none. Instead, the demons were more likely to form a large attacking front and storm the Angel central city which was now vulnerable due to the large hole Mark left in the wall.
The angels had formed a defensive line in front of the city wall and were guarding the hole as many angel workers tried to fix it as quickly as possible, but it was impossible for the angels to melt, form, and shape Titan steel into the shape they needed in such a short time, and their worst fears came to life that night as the sound of hundreds of footsteps began to echo from the horizon.
The demons attacked them in the dead of night with the full force of the army present on the angel’s continent. More than a thousand soldiers had sailed here on the boats after their attack on the Aragon Islands, and Riger had mobilized them all!
The angel central city was filled mainly with civilians who had never seen a day of the war in their lives, but after what happened earlier, the angels had recalled all of the soldiers that were close to the city to act as protection. Now, there were more than two thousand soldiers at the central city alone, along with the royal guards that were in the main castle to protect the king.
But even with the disadvantage of numbers, the demons knew that the nighttime would give them enough of an advantage due to their dark magic. The angels would be limited in their movement since they wanted to protect the civilians, and the angel’s light magic wouldn’t be as potent at night as it is during the day. That would give the demons enough freedom to form a pincer move or to go around and scale the wall behind the city to enter from the other side.
The demons charged for the angel city with reckless abandon, but before they could get close enough, everyone on the battlefield stopped what they had been doing as a massive pressure suddenly pressed down on them all.
A bright light, like a meteor, streaked through the sky and slammed into the ground in front of the demon army! The demons all watched as a massive dust cloud was raised from the impact, and once they saw who it was that stepped out from within the dust cloud, more than half of them felt their confidence plummet!
The demon lord!
“Are you on the side of the angels now, you dirty traitor!? I always knew you would turn against your own people! This was your plan all along!”
Riger was the one who shouted out in anger once he saw Mark blocking their path to the central city. Mark didn’t even say anything in response. He simply called on his Fang and activated [Crown of the Golden Horizon] as a golden hue spread across his body and strengthened him even more before he shot forward towards the army!
BOOM!
Riger rose his sword towards Mark angrily!
“Kill the bastard!”
The entire army roared in agitation as they charged for Mark, and the two forces clashed like an earthquake!
Boom!
The resulting fight didn’t last for an hour. In fact, calling it a fight was an insult to what Mark was doing to that army. Mark tore through their ranks like paper! he decapitated and electrocuted anyone that tried to get too close and those that were attacking from a distance found their spells easily countered by Mark’s natural defenses!
It was a one-sided massacre!
About thirty minutes later, some members of the angel army watched from a cresting hill in the distance as Mark trekked through hundreds of corpses. Mark’s body was smeared in blood, with rivers of it dripping from his hands. His Fang had been drowned in so much blood that it was now visible against the moonlight, and there were barely any demons left alive at all.
Riger, the leader of the rebellion, had escaped sometime in the middle of the fight, along with some of the men, but those who could not escape had been decimated.
Mark turned around as he felt eyes on him, and the angels on top of the hill felt shivers run down their spines as Mark’s black, glaring eyes focused on them for a moment. Mark narrowed his eyes as he brought a hand up and cleaned the blood on his face with the back of his palm before he turned and started to walk away into the night.
“S-Sir… what did we just see? Is he… on our side?”
One of the angels, a young woman who had just joined the military a few years ago, spoke up in fear after she saw Mark’s retreating back disappear into the darkness of the night. The man beside her shook his head as he told her that he did not know. He commanded her to report this to the king, and she turned around and flew back to the central city to give a report.
After that night, the angel forces decided that it was about time they got rid of the demon army on their continent. Since they saw the demon lord destroy the army that had planned to march on the capital city, they figured that the demon lord was actively trying to stop the war. Some of the soldiers in the angel army were scared that the demon lord would attack them if they marched on the demons, but the leader didn’t care about what the demon lord was trying to do. This was their continent and they won’t let the actions of some demon stop them from claiming it back.
They put some of the strongest members of the army in one force and sent them ahead of the angel army to make sure that the demon lord couldn’t hinder them. Seraph, the head of the royal guard, was put in charge and sent to lead them.
But before the angels could even get to the Myriad Castle, news reached them that there had been an attack on the castle of Duke Grant! The demon lord had laid siege to the castle singlehandedly and ravaged the entire castle!
Seraph quickly changed directions and ordered the army to move towards the castle of Duke Grant! When the angels reached the Duke’s castle, they were stunned to see a large plume of smoke rising from the burning remains of the castle. On top of one of the towers of the castle, Mark and Arit looked down at the incoming army impassively.
Mark was sitting on the edge of the tower with Arit standing behind him, and they were both drenched in blood. The mere sight of them lit a fire of anger in the heart of Seraph as he ordered the army to attack immediately! He wouldn’t let that bastard go!
But before the army could even get close to the castle, Mark raised his hand and allowed Arit to grab it before she lifted them both into the air and away from the burning castle. Seraph yelled out for the army to take aim and fire at the pair, but Mark easily negated all of the arrows using his skills, and they were able to escape!
Seraph cursed loudly in anger and told the army to forget about chasing after them! They had to check for any survivors in Duke Grant’s castle!
Hundreds of servants and soldiers had been killed in the castle, and as Seraph walked through the hallways drenched and splattered with blood, he felt his anger and hatred for Mark rising to new levels!

Luckily, Duke Grant and the rest of his family had been left alive. Duke Grant had lost an arm, but his son and daughter had been left unharmed by the demon lord. Seraph immediately began to try and think of what to do now.
They had come out here to chase the demons out from Myriad Castle, but the current state of things was throwing that plan into disarray. Should they go back to the central city and make sure that the demon lord doesn’t attack it, or should they advance to Myriad Castle?
Seraph had to make a choice quickly.
