Chapter 682: I’m Leaving!
Luna moved fast enough to put her hand below Pat’s head before he could hit it on the ground.

Thud!

Pat’s head hit Luna’s hand hard, and he groaned out a thank you as she removed it! Grace put her hand to her mouth and gasped in guilt as she quickly apologized while getting off Pat!

“Oh my god, I’m so sorry about that! You could’ve died! But that isn’t important! Isn’t this amazing, we’re going to be working together! This is going to be so much fun!”

Patrick looked up at the painted ceiling and prayed to whatever god was out there to send lightning upon him! He would rather die than have to go through this every day from now on! It was too much!

“I fucking hate you, Mark. I hate you so much it burns my eyes.”

Oh wait, those are just tears.

Patrick thought this as he felt tears falling from his eyes, and he just silently accepted his fate while Grace continued to pester him in the background nonstop. Patrick had no idea how she still had so much energy after they had just run through the hallways earlier, but he was sure that it had to be some sort of hidden blessing from a god.

Patrick cursed Mark in his head once more, and when Mark told Pat that he might finally get himself a girlfriend, Pat raised the middle finger to Mark and told him to fuck off. Mark’s laughter was the only thing Patrick heard as the three of them told Pat and Grace goodbye and continued walking back to the hall, but they hadn’t gone very far before another louder voice screamed from down the hallway and stopped Mark in his tracks!

“MARKY!! I’ve been looking for you everywhere!”

Mark groaned internally as he heard the last person he wanted to see screaming as she ran toward him! Tina flew towards Mark like a bullet, and Mark easily turned to his side at the last moment and allowed her to faceplant on the ground behind him unceremoniously!

SLAM!

“Ugh… always playing hard to get, eh Marky?”

Tina groaned before laughing pervertedly as she slowly sat up. She put a hand to her cheek and gave Mark a loving look.

“I really missed you, Mark. Why are you still playing hard to get? Just say you love me too! You already have two girlfriends, so that means you’re not against having more!”

Mark clicked his tongue at Tina’s logic, and when Tina tried to run toward him again, he put a hand out and held her head to prevent her from getting to him while she flailed around uselessly. Tina was wearing a long white gown that hugged her body criminally and showed off all her impressive curves. Her hair had been braided into a beautiful topknot that made her face stand out even more than before, and if not for the fact that she was acting like a crazy person, Mark might have even thought she looked beautiful!

“Tina. Stop.”

A cold voice suddenly spoke up from Mark’s left, and Tina turned there to see both Arit and Luna glaring at her angrily. It was Arit who had spoken, but once Tina saw the look of disappointment on Luna’s face, it was like she was immediately drenched in cold water!

“Tina! I told you not to go looking for them! What is wrong with you!?”

Another voice shouted from the end of the hallway, and this time it was Turner who turned the corner and appeared in front of them. Turner took only a second to look around the hallway and figure out exactly what was going on, and once he did, he facepalmed in annoyance and sighed. Turner really wished he was an only child!

“I’m really sorry, Mark! I was watching her, but when I turned to get something to drink, she ran away!”

Turner spoke up as he walked up to Mark and grabbed Tina away from him. Tina didn’t struggle since she was still being oppressed by Luna and Arit’s glare, so it was easy for Turner to get her away from Mark. Mark just sighed before he shook his head with a small smile.

“It’s alright. I didn’t see you two after the fight, but I heard you were doing alright. I’m glad to see there was no serious damage psychologically from that fight.”

Mark knew that fighting against something dangerous could lead to psychological or mental damage that would make people’s character or personality shift in order to try and cope with what had happened. Mark had seen it happen many times to many people around him. Even Luna had gone through something like that after that first Armageddon appearance. Mark was just glad that Tina and Turner didn’t seem to have suffered any serious damage from what had happened.

Turner smiled and thanked Mark for his words, and Tina saluted happily and said that no monster could ever make her love for Mark change!

Another wave of pressure pressed down on Tina once she said this, and Tina quickly moved back so that she was standing behind Turner and away from the glares of the two women!

Luna stepped forward and spoke up once she was sure that Tina was no longer going to speak. From how intensely Arit was glaring at Tina, Luna was sure that if no one said anything, Arit would definitely try to kill Tina!

“Tina, what did I tell you about your behavior? I overlooked it all this while because it never affected your ability to stay focused on what was important, but I will not tolerate a repeat of what just happened, do you understand?”

Luna’s eyes glared into Tina’s when she finished talking. Right now, Luna wasn’t just talking as Tina’s superior; Luna was talking as the girlfriend of the man that Tina had been actively trying to seduce! Tina was already frightened enough of Luna as it was! Luna was the only person in the world who could get Tina in line because of the history that Luna and Tina had together. Luna was the one who trained Tina during her time in the Superhumans Alliance, so Tina’s entire body had an instinctual fear for Luna after what she went through.

But now that Luna was also giving her a threatening look that only love rivals would give one another, Tina knew that she had to at least reduce how much she was interacting with Mark. Arit was already bad enough, if Luna was also going to get pissed every time Tina spoke to Mark, then Tina knew that it just wasn’t worth it anymore!

Tina nodded to tell Luna that she understood, and Luna sighed internally before reducing her glare and asking the twins what they were doing here. Luna didn’t take them as the sort to come for events like these.

Turner laughed and scratched the back of his head while saying that it was Alec Ben who made them come.

“We weren’t going to come, but Alec said that all the high-ranking members of the Superhumans Alliance had to be there. I recently got a promotion to Assistant Division Head of the Superhumans Assessment Division, so I had to be here.”

Mark raised a brow in curiosity. The Assessment Division was the same place Alec had been in. That was why Alec was the one who handled Mark’s assessment all those months ago. Turner must’ve gotten the promotion because Alec left his former position to become a leader of the Alpha Squad.

“Bergh~!”

The sound of someone gagging came from behind Turner, and Turner turned around to glare at Tina! Tina glared right back at him when she saw the look on his face and turned away in irritation as she spoke.

“Stupid Association! I don’t care what position they try to give me, I’m not taking anything! I’m going to leave and join the Vanguard Guild!”

Turner clicked his tongue at his sister. This fucking idiot!
