Chapter 751: Don’t Fucking Try It
The man had drawn the woman in by giving her a false sense of security! The man was definitely an Undefined while the woman was only an S-rank. If she got hit by this attack, then the chances of her getting seriously injured were very high!

The woman gritted her teeth and prepared to try something to get out of the situation that she was in, but before she could do anything, she was surprised as a massive golden shield appeared in front of her! The shield shimmered and pulsed like a living thing, and when the flames hit the shield, she couldn’t even feel a tremor as the shield easily held strong!

The woman didn’t need to even think about who was responsible for the shield! She felt her heart swell as she realized that it was her guild master who had protected her, and when she finally landed on the ground safely, she turned around to see Mark walking towards her with a frown etched on his face!

Mark was not happy. If it had been anyone else fighting here, then Mark would have simply ignored it and allowed them to keep fighting, but even though she was not part of his country, this woman was Mark’s guild member, and it would be bad if she had to suffer some sort of permanent injury from the amount of fire that had been heading towards her. Mark came to a stop in front of the woman and faced the man that she was fighting. The man had a small irritated frown on his face as he looked at Mark with weary eyes, and Mark allowed a little bit of his pressure to leak from his body to subdue them both as he spoke.

“What the fuck is going on here?”

Mark directed the question to both of them, but it was the woman who spoke up! Mark remembered that the woman’s real name was Leah, and he turned to her as she pointed an accusing finger at the man opposite her.

“It’s this bastard that started it! He came to the lodge and started a fight with me without provocation! I didn’t even understand what he said before he started throwing fire at me and the rest of my team!”

Leah pointed to her team, who were all standing close to the lodging when she said this, and Mark turned to see a group of young men and women who were all looking toward the scene worriedly. Leah was the strongest member of the team, and she was also the leader. When the man arrived at the lodge, she and the rest of her team had been outside talking about tactics, and the man had said something to her in a foreign language. Leah didn’t understand what he said, and she told him not to bother them. The next thing she knew, he was attacking her.

Mark’s eyes narrowed even further when he heard Leah say all of this to him. Mark’s [Styxwatcher’s Discernment] didn’t activate at any time during the explanation, so Mark was sure that she was telling the truth. Mark finally turned to look at the offending man with a threatening glare. Leah said that the man just arrived at the lodge, so that could only mean that he was a member of one of the two teams that had not arrived at the same time as the other countries. The only countries that arrived late were the Brazilians and the Russians.

But from the man’s pale skin and blond hair, Mark could guess that the man was not Brazilian. He was most likely Russian, and Mark took a few steps closer as he spoke up.

“Do you speak English?”

The man frowned at Mark and Leah before looking around for a few seconds distractedly. Mark followed the man’s gaze to see if there was anything around, but there wasn’t, and Mark tried again.

“Where are the rest of your team members? Are you the leader? Do you fucking understand me? You know what, fuck this.”

Mark took his AirPod out from his pocket and clicked it on to put out a quick call to Pat. Once Mark did this, the man in front of him crouched low as if he was about to attack Mark, but Mark just sent him another glare, and the man seemed to lose some of his hostility as his hands lowered. There was still a constant pressure coming from Mark, and the man felt the raw power in there and didn’t dare to attack.

Ring~ Ring~

The call to Pat only rang for a few seconds before Pat picked up. Mark knew that Pat was a fucking vampire that doesn’t sleep, so even though Pat wasn’t outside here, he was probably still awake in his room. Pat picked up the call on the second ring, and Mark asked him the strangest question that Pat had ever heard from Mark.

“Pat, do you speak Russian?”

Pat seemed to be stunned for a few seconds before he finally sighed into the comms and answered.

[I really should stop getting surprised by the things you make me do. Yeah, I speak it a little. I needed it to troll some dude in Valorant. What’s up?]

Pat had also heard the fighting and felt the explosions from outside the lodge just like the rest of the superhumans, but unlike the others who were curious, Pat didn’t really care about what was going on out there. It wasn’t like there was going to be some sort of anima attack right now. What the fuck would an anima try to do with all these superhumans here? It would be killed in seconds if it tried anything!

So Pat was sure that no matter how bad things got, he would be fine. Instead, Pat just stayed inside the lodge and continued working on what Mark had asked for. So hearing Mark ask him something like this out of the blue was like a splash of cold water for him!1

The translators that the Japanese Superhuman allaince gaave them earlier was only able to translate Japanese into other languages, so Mark knew that it would be useless in this situation.

“Translate ‘Where is your Team?’ into Russian for me.”

Mark waited for a few seconds, and Pat quickly gave Mark the info he needed. Once Mark got it, he repeated it to the man, and Mark watched as the man’s face slowly gained a different look! The man’s face darkened, and he looked around him quickly, almost like a trapped animal that was trying to look for a way out! But then at the next moment, Mark felt the mana in the air growing thicker again as the man took on an offensive stance again!

“You better fucking—”

BOOM!

Before Mark could even finish what he was about to say, a massive column of fire rose from the ground and shot into the air in front of him! The air boiled, and the trees around the area started to burn quickly as the flames descended!

KA-BOOM!!

A massive explosion resounded through the area and headed straight toward Mark, but Mark just put his hand out with a blank look on his face before pouring out a wave of his mana!

The wave of mana immediately subdued the flames in front of Mark and everything in the area was extinguished like it was nothing more than a candle! Mark had made sure that Leah was behind him so that she wouldn’t get burned by the flames and as Mark saw the man getting ready to start another blast, Mark immediately summoned the [Fangs that Lunk The Heaves]!
