Strongest Superhuman System - Chapter 753
Chapter 753: Diffuse
“You should ask her if you’re so curious.”
Mark nodded his head towards her lancer that had attacked him unprovoked, and Megumi turned to her for an explanation. Megumi spoke again, this time in Japanese to the lancer, and the woman seemed surprised to even be addressed by Megumi for a moment before she started to give Megumi a rundown of what she had seen when she appeared. While that was happening, Mark turned and addressed the group of Russians that had arrived here with Megumi.
There were ten Superhuman Russians standing there, and from what Mark could feel, most of them were in the S rank and higher. The person standing in front of them was a Russian man with black hair and a hard look on his face. He had blue, narrowed eyes that were currently glaring at the man hanging from Mark’s fangs. Mark spoke up.
“Do any of you understand English?”
Mark hoped that there would be at least one person there who would be able to help them bridge the language gap. It was becoming irritating that they couldn’t understand each other. Thankfully, the man who was standing in front of the group stepped forward and spoke up with a thick Russian accent.
“Yes, I understand English. I’m sorry, but we are lost also about what is going on here. Can you please explain to us what happened?”
The Russian man’s English was not perfect, but it was more than good enough for a conversation and that was all Mark needed. Mark pointed his finger towards the man who was hanging in midair.
“Isn’t this one of yours? He arrived at the lodge a few minutes ago and started causing issues with one of the other contestants. If I didn’t step in, then he might’ve killed her. I don’t know how things are done over there in Russia, but in other parts of the world, you don’t start throwing fire at other people for no reason unless you’re looking to get yourself killed.”
The man’s face scrunched up in confusion after listening to everything that Mark said, and he turned to look up at the man hanging from Mark’s Fang. Once the man in the air met the eye of the leader of the Russians, he hung his head in shame and defeat as if he were accepting his guilt for what he did. The Russian leader sighed and rubbed his hand over his face before he spoke.
“I’m sorry that happened. He was restless on the ride here. We told him to go ahead of us to make sure everything was well-organized in the rooms before our arrival. I don’t know what he was thinking, but we didn’t tell him to start fighting like this.”
Megumi had stopped talking to the other Japanese woman sometime in the middle of Mark’s conversation, and she listened to the man’s explanation with rapt attention. Once the man finished talking, Megumi turned to the man who was hanging in the air and asked a question.
“Is this true?”
The man didn’t give a response, but he hung his head in the same defeated manner that he had before, and his silence was enough of a confirmation to seal his fate. The surrounding area started to get very noisy as many helicopters arrived on the scene.
Ratatatatatatat!
The helicopters were carrying Superhuman alliance members who had come here in response to the signs of battle that were seen. Megumi had been sent ahead of them as a precaution since they knew that she was more than capable of handling any problem that may have arisen! The Superhuman alliance agents came down from the helicopters and immediately surrounded all of the Superhumans that were standing in a close group. Mark looked at them all with the same bored look on his face, and after some time, the Superhumans parted to reveal the same old man who had welcomed them to Japan from the airport.
Genchi Naruhito looked absolutely pissed as he made his way toward the clearing. He looked around with critical eyes before he turned to glare at Mark for a moment. It almost seemed like he wanted to say something to Mark, but he stopped himself and instead turned to Megumi and asked her what had happened.
Megumi pointed to the man hanging in the air and only said a few words.
“He is at fault.”
That was all Genchi needed to hear. If Megumi had said that everyone there was at fault, Genchi was already prepared to send all of them back home at once! Genchi warned them about causing any trouble for anyone in the country, and the first thing that they did on the first day there was to start a fight!? Genshi’s first instinct once he heard about the fight was to hand out disqualification letters to everyone! What would have happened if they were put in a hotel somewhere more populated!? This fight could have taken the lives of hundreds of Japanese civilians!
Genchi looked around at all of them and shouted!
“Someone explain what happened here to me, now!”
Mark stayed silent and just watched from the sidelines, and it was the leader of the Russians who finally decided that it was his responsibility to explain. He came forward and spoke up in his heavily accented English.
The Russian leader told Genchi everything that he had told Mark just a few minutes ago. Genchi looked from the man up to the one hanging in the air and wondered if the man was telling him the truth. The Russian leader looked like he really didn’t know what had happened, and Genchi noticed that the man hanging in the air had a look of defeat around him, which only served to cement his guilt even more.
Genchi turned to the leader of the Russians and spoke English so that the man could understand him.
“Your team member is disqualified from the competition, and your entire team will receive a thousand-point deduction and a ban on any movement outside this area before the game begins. Next time, keep your team in check, or I will make sure none of you get to participate in this tournament!”
The Russian man frowned and tried to argue, but when he saw the angry glare getting even deeper on Genchi’s face, the man realized that Genchi was far beyond listening to reason. Genchi was more likely to just throw all of them out of the tournament than listen to anything that the man had to say! The leader of the Russians just decided not to argue, and he nodded his head to accept the penalty!
Genchi turned around and told one of the Japanese Superhuman alliance members there to go and arrest the man hanging in the air, and Genchi turned to look at Mark with a silent request to drop the man to the ground. Mark relented and just dropped the man when the Superhuman Alliance member came up with Superhuman Suppression cuffs. Mark was still pissed about a lot of things, but there was something far more important going on here, and Mark was no longer interested in holding the Russians hostage.
Mark’s eyes turned towards the leader of the Russians who had defused the situation, and the frown on Mark’s face deepened as he glanced at the notification that appeared on his system window earlier.
