Chapter 782: Hurts
Mark unleashed the full force of his aura upon it!

In that short moment, Mark saw the spider shake and take a half step back, and Mark thought that it was going to do the smarter thing and just run away, but the spider recovered quickly enough and it skittered around threateningly as it also released its aura to counter Mark. It spoke up in a mocking tone.

“Do not think your show of power can scare us away, KING -”

” – We shall do what has been ordered by our leader without fear for our lives.”

The spiders knew that they were no match for Mark at all. Mark was already a TRANSCENDENT, and even though they were more powerful than even a high-level Armageddon, they still did not match up to the power of the human KING. But that was no reason for them not to do as they were ordered.

“What we lack in attack power, we more than make up for in defense. You shall not get past us!”

The spider quickly charged for Mark after that declaration and sent its metal leg straight at where Mark was standing! Mark turned out of the way as the leg stabbed into the ground and cracked the floor! The spider brought its leg out and used the debris as a screen to block Mark’s vision before charging forward and sending more stabs toward wherever Mark was standing!

Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam!

Mark moved quickly out of the way to avoid getting hit! The spider was fast, but it wasn’t so fast that Mark wouldn’t be able to follow its movements! The only thing that the spider was doing to Mark at that moment was annoying the hell out of him!

Mark felt the annoyance inside him change into pure anger as he realized that he would have to waste time on this nuisance! Mark stopped moving back, and the next time the spider sent its leg forward, Mark ducked under the swing and immediately charged forward! Mark knew that he didn’t have to bother with gauging the weaknesses or abilities of the spider! He had to get to Arit as quickly as possible, so if the spider’s defenses were so good that it didn’t have any weaknesses, then all Mark had to do was make one!

The chain flew out from under the spider and grabbed one of its legs as Mark grabbed the other end and used his momentum to lift himself up into the air and towards the spider! The sudden pull forced the spider to stop in its tracks from how much power was behind it! One of the spider’s heads turned down to look at the chains that were holding it, and the other one turned to Mark and raised another leg to hit him! Mark grabbed the leg before it could slam into him, and the spider immediately flicked it on instinct to try and get Mark off it! But Mark had already anticipated this move, and he used the momentum of the flick to spin himself in the air, angled his body towards the monster’s back, and pulled his fist back with a glare on his face!

[Critical Hit]!

[Sonic Impact]!

BOOM!!

Mark was already extremely powerful, so even without there being any weak spots on the monster’s body, a single hit from him should be enough to weaken any part of its body and give Mark an advantage! But as Mark struck the hard shell of the spider, Mark was shocked when he felt his fist press into the monster’s body before being rebounded, pushing him back slightly! Mark landed a few meters away from the spider and dashed to the side as he dodged another one of the spider’s strikes!

The spider sent more strikes after Mark as they tore up the island in their fight!

BOOM! BOM! BOOM!

Massive tremors tore through the area and broke through hundreds of trees, sending them toppling to the ground! There was dust and debris lifted into the air for miles on every side of the fight, and in the center of all this, the spider was doing its best to skewer Mark with as much force as possible!

The two fighters ran into various anima as they tore up the island and Mark easily killed all of hem without taking his eyes off the spider.

“Holy shit, what is that!?”

There was a shout from somewhere in front of Mark, and Mark realized that it was superhumans who were fighting against other anima. The spider didn’t look like it was going to be stopping anytime soon, so Mark dashed toward where the superhumans were standing and grabbed them off the ground before the spider could land a hit on them! Mark carried them easily as he moved through the forest, and when Mark was sure that the spider was no longer close enough, he threw them through the air to the other side of the island! They were superhumans, so Mark didn’t care how they were going to land!

Once Mark was sure that the superhumans were out of harm’s way, Mark turned back to the monster in front of him and started to think about what the fuck happened when he punched it earlier! Why the fuck did his critical hit not work!? Mark hadn’t seen a monster that could tank his punch like this in a fucking long time! It was almost like the monster was made up of some sort of jelly-like substance that absorbed the blow completely! The spider didn’t even look like it registered a punch from a freaking Transcendent!

SCREECH!!

The spider screeched in anger again, turned around sharply and sent another blow for Mark, but Mark just dodged this one again and decided that he was going to try something else! Mark activated [Storm Chaser], and the sky above the area turned dark black as blue lightning streaked across it!

The spider looked up in surprise at the sudden change in weather and it couldn’t do anything as the clouds parted to unleash a massive bolt of lightning on it!

BZZZTTT!

SCREECH!!

The spider screeched in pain as it felt its entire body shake from the intense blow, and Mark quickly ran forward as he saw two notifications appear on his system!

[Negation] has been activated!

[Stun] has been activated!

The two secondary skills of Mark’s constitution came to life at the same time, and the spider was shocked when it noticed that it could no longer move its body! The stun effect had rendered it immobile, and Mark wasted no time as he jumped into the air so that he was right in front of the monster’s head! Mark pulled back his fist, and the spider saw death approaching it as Mark’s fist flew forward!

[Divergent Fist]!

The world blurred into varying shades of gray and the very fabric of space seemed to twist and collapse under the weight of the power that Mark generated right in front of his fist, and when Mark sent his punch forward, the island rumbled!

DOOOONNNN!!

The spider tumbled through hundreds of trees as it was hit back! It flew into a large mountain that was behind it and burst out from the other end before slamming into the ground and creating a large trench for more than a mile! An earthquake ran through the entire island as all the superhumans and anima that were on it had to stop whatever they were doing for a moment to try and keep their footing!
