Strongest Superhuman System - Chapter 786
Chapter 786: Shut Up
Arit knew that even though Tina was stabbed through the heart, there was no way she would die from just that! Tina was a superhuman! A fucking strong one at that! Dying from just one stab through the chest was something impossible! But moving or getting back into the fight was going to be impossible for her, and Tina was probably going to be at the mercy of the anima in the area if she landed in a bad spot!
WOOSH!
But luckily, before Tina could even reach the ground, Arit saw a blur pass through the air from her side-eye! Arit turned to it quickly, but she wasn’t even able to see what had moved before the hair holding her leg was cut into pieces and she was released!
The figure flashed through the air again; this time, it flew toward where Tina was going to land and grabbed her out of the air! It landed on the ground a few meters away from where the fight was taking place, and skid to a stop while digging a deep trench in the ground.
Arit released a sigh of relief as she saw Mark standing there with Tina cradled in his hands. Everyone in the clearing had stopped what they were doing, and even the Bishop seemed to be enthralled by Mark’s mere presence.
Mark, meanwhile, was staring down at the limp body of Tina with a hard look on his face. Mark quickly used his enhanced hearing to check for a heartbeat, and he was glad when he heard a small pulse echo out from Tina’s chest. Her heart was still working, but it was struggling to even get the blood out. Mark set Tina down slowly, and he quickly activated [Healing Aura].
Mark’s [Crown of The Golden Horizon] would have been a better choice for what he wanted to do since he knew that he needed to increase the strength of his allies, but Mark knew that it would take far too much time for it to heal Tina, so he was just going to use his mana to heal Tina first before focusing on trying to increase the strength.
“So this is the KING—”
DOON!
The Bishop started to speak from her place in the air, but her voice suddenly died in her throat as Mark turned to glare at her! Mark released an intense pressure from his body that threatened to blow everything in the region away, and the Bishop felt a strained smile spreading on her face as she felt Mark’s pure anger radiating off him in waves. The pale moon had already begun to rise from the horizon, casting a surreal aura upon the destroyed island, and the Bishop’s long hair held her up in the air like a god looking down upon the mere mortals below her.
But even though she was looking down at Mark, the bishop felt like Mark’s presence was far above her and staring down at her like an executioner!
Mark looked away from the Bishop and glanced back at Tina with his side-eye as he felt his mana being depleted quickly and saw that the wound on her chest was going to take a lot longer to heal than he thought it would. Mark didn’t need to heal Tina completely since he was trying to preserve mana. He just needed to heal her enough so that she wouldn’t be at death’s door anymore. Once that was done, Mark could allow someone else to take care of her while he dealt with the Bishop.
However, the issue here was that Mark couldn’t go far away from Tina while she was being healed since his healing ability had a radius of effect that it worked in. If Mark went further than a three-hundred-meter radius, then the skill would stop. Mark had to find a way to stall for time.
Mark spoke up.
“What the fuck are you doing here?”
The Bishop seemed far too excited to hear Mark speak to her, and she put her hands on her cheek with a happy look in her eyes and spoke back gladly.
“Are you really the human KING? The one that stole the destined lover of our KING? The one that destroyed not just one, but two world-ending Armageddon!? The favorite child of the gods of light!? You don’t really look like much at all!”
Mark didn’t bother rising to the bait as the Bishop seemed to fawn over him. Some of her hair was still flying around the area dangerously, and neither Hao nor Arit could get close to her without risking getting skewered by the sharp strands! The Bishop still kept that mad look in her eyes as she watched Mark, and Mark tightened his hands into fists and relaxed them again as he prepared himself for what he was sure was coming!
At the next moment, the ground exploded outward!
BOOM!
Hundreds of hair strands flew out from underground as the Bishop tried to skewer Mark, and Mark immediately grabbed Tina and vanished into a mad sprint! The Bishop’s hair was what was holding her up, so it was all over the area, and she was using that to her advantage to feed her hair through the ground out of Mark’s sight and attack him from underground! But Mark’s natural instincts were so sharp that even without seeing where the attack was coming from, Mark was still able to predict when the strands were going to shoot out from underground and dodge it perfectly!
Mark spoke up in the comms!
“Arit! I need you to come grab Tina! She’s already healed enough!”
Mark jumped over a large bundle of hair that tried to stab him and ducked under one of the larger bundles that the Bishop sent toward Mark’s head! Mark felt Arit flying toward him for the send, and he didn’t waste any time as he tossed Tina’s body toward where he knew Arit was going to be! Mark had already healed Tina enough so that she wouldn’t bleed out from her chest, so he was sure that she would be able to hold on until the fight was over. And as for why he tossed her so nonchalantly? Tina was superhuman, so a little rough handling wasn’t going to do her any harm, even when she was in such terrible condition!
Arit caught Tina’s limp body and cradled it tightly before she started to make her way to the other side of the clearing to make sure that Tina was far away from the fighting. Arit had more than enough faith in Mark’s ability to handle the Bishop, so she decided that she was going to focus on protecting Tina for the rest of the fight. In a way, Arit felt responsible for what happened to Tina since it was Arit who was supposed to be keeping the bishop’s attention, so Arit had to make sure that Tina didn’t get any worse!
Back at the fight, Mark and Hao were moving like veteran fighters who were already perfectly used to each other’s fighting style! Now that they were free to do as they wanted, Mark and Hao reverted to their regular pattern from whenever they were fighting together in the Vanguard guild! Mark was the frontline damage dealer! He was going to dash in and make as much trouble for the opponent as possible, and Hao was the long-distance distraction!
