A sheen of mana wrapped around Mark’s hand like a cloth as Mark’s hand blurred forward, and just at the moment when Mark was about to unleash his punch, the mana sheen exploded forward in a massive blast of mana! The mana was moving at the speed of Mark’s punch and energized by Mark’s explosive mana, giving it more than half the full power of the punch that Mark was about to unleash! And with the difference between the mana impact and Mark’s punch being less than one-millionth of a second, anyone facing the blow would feel like they were being hit by two blows consecutively!

First, the Bishop felt the mana slam into her shield! It was a blow unlike anything she had ever felt before! Mark’s fist blasted through the hair defenses like they weren’t even there, and before the Bishop could bring up another line of defense, Mark’s fist slammed into her cheek!

A massive sonic boom echoed through the region as the Bishop felt all the bones in her face cracking inwards from the blow, and then she flew back like a rocket!

The Bishop was like a fucking fighter jet in the sky as she blasted through the island!! She tore through more than a thousand acres of land, and hundreds of thousands of trees that were in her way were all torn to pieces immediately! A large mountain that was behind her was obliterated by the force of her impact as she left a giant hole in the side of it and slammed into the water outside of the eastern side of the island!

The Bishop sank into the cold, frigid waters as the moonlight above reflected the disfigured and cracked shape of her right cheek. There were millions of hair strands strewn all about her, and she found it hard to even say a single word as she just stared up into the sky.

This was unfair.

It was truly unfair.

The world took everything from them and gave it to these humans. Why were the humans so strong? Why did the humans all possess power beyond anything that the anima could hope to compete against? The humans had so many champions, and their KING was so strong.

Did the anima really stand a chance against something like this?

‘No, I can’t think like this.’

The Bishop slowly felt her cheek starting to heal as light began returning to her eyes. She wasn’t going to allow herself to feel sorry for her race. This was a battle between them for who would become the top race in this world. It didn’t matter if the humans had more fighters than them, they just had to dwindle the numbers down. It didn’t matter if the human KING was stronger than she thought. She just had to disable him and make sure that her KING stood a better chance.

The water around the Bishop slowly started to bubble as the Bishop’s hair began to fly around erratically! The hair grabbed a hold of the bottom part of the island and slowly began to pull hard on the island!

Rumble~! Rumble~! Rumble~!

All of the superhumans that were standing on the island had to stop whatever they were doing as they felt the entire island shaking intensely! There was a deep rumble coming from somewhere deep underground and they wondered what was going on!

Meanwhile, those who were watching the fight happening on the island couldn’t believe what they were seeing. The fight between Mark and the Rook was already one of the most intense fights that they had ever seen before, and when they saw Tina getting stabbed, a lot of people thought that she was going to die there. But then their opinion changed when Mark appeared and joined in the fight against the Bishop. Currently, the media was showing Luna’s fight against an entire horde of anima that were trying to prevent her from getting into a cave on the western side of the island. Alec Ben had gone into the cave already, and Luna was holding off the larger portion of the anima outside to give Alec enough time to find out what was going on inside.

The viewers had been getting very good content for the fights, and even though the Japanese media was censoring a lot of the media coverage because they didn’t want people to see everything, they were still able to give them some amazing fights.

But what was happening now was something that no one was able to fucking understand.

The island was moving!

The entire island of Oshima slowly rumbled and shook as a large part of the island began to break off from the whole! The eastern part of the island cracked away from the main island, and more than a third of the island began to rise out from the waters below! The ocean around the island churned and raged in protest of the movement, but there was no stopping the ascension! It was like some stray god was exerting its full might upon the island, forcing it to obey it against all the laws of nature!

Those who were watching the fight were absolutely shocked by what they were seeing, but it was those who were close to the edge of the rising island and seeing the water getting further and further away from them who were the most shocked! Part of the island’s edge fell off into the water, leaving them to drown in the dark ocean below, and the conical bottom of the island dripped long lines of water down into the ocean, reminiscent of a floating island from folklore!

The sky above the island began to darken further as clouds formed from the sudden change in pressure in the region and lightning began to streak across the air from the thunderstorm that everyone knew was coming.

Mark stood on top of a mountain a few kilometers away from the edge of the island and watched as the sky got closer to them. Mark didn’t need to think for long to know exactly who was responsible for this. It was definitely the Bishop that was making the island rise from the ocean.

But what the hell was the Bishop trying to achieve by doing this? Was she trying to capsize the island to try and kill me?

‘No, she can’t do that. She already looks like she is struggling to carry the island. Turning it over would be impossible.’

So if she wasn’t trying to capsize it, then was she trying to break it?

Mark’s eyes narrowed as this thought crossed his mind and he slowly stood up and spoke to Hao who was waiting on his orders beside him.

“Make sure you watch out for the other superhumans at the edge of the island. Use your dragon to clear out anyone who looks like they’re struggling, I’ll handle the Bishop.”

The Bishop began to rise from the edge of the island. Strands of silver hair were strewn all around her like a halo that glistened in the pale moonlight, and she was being carried up by her hair while staring up into the sky that was slowly starting to release rain down on the island.

The injury on the Bishop’s cheek had almost completely healed, but Mark could tell that she was not as strong as she had been before.
