Strongest Superhuman System - Chapter 790
Mark showed up from the side and slammed his feet into the ROOK’s head, sending it to the ground!
BOOM!
WOOSH!
A giant tree flew toward Mark, and Mark grabbed it and used it as a baseball bat to slam the ROOK in the belly and throw it off into the distance!
In the split second just before Mark slammed the ROOK away, he was able to get a good look at its face. Mark remembered that the last time they fought, the ROOK had eight eyes on one head and four on the other head. But now, the spider only had seven eyes on one head and four on the other. What the fuck was this monster?
Mark didn’t bother trying to use [True Sight] on the anima before because he didn’t think that it was necessary. Mark only used True Sight on opponents that he felt were a real threat. But now that the anima had shown up again like some sort of fucking zombie, Mark knew he had to find out what was going on.
[True Sight] has been activated!
…
Name: Rook
Race: Anima Lord
Rank: High-Ranking Armageddon
Skill: Spiked projectiles, Poison Webs, Adamantine-Tipped Claws, Partial immortality.
Description: One of the generals in the army of the Anima KING, the ROOK possesses extraordinary defensive abilities and the highest durability amongst all the anima generals. Its twelve eyes allow it to possess very high healing abilities, with each eye giving the ROOK one chance to bring itself back from the brink of death.
Affiliation: Chaotic Evil
…
‘Of course, the fucker is immortal.’
Mark cursed in his head as he finished reading through the ROOK’s profile and he almost laughed. So, even if Mark kills the Rook over and over again, it will not die until he is killed up to twelve times. What sort of fucked up power is that!?
Mark dodged around a large pillar of hair that shot out of the ground and he began to race forward to catch up to Megumi, who was already going back in for another clash with the ROOK. Mark spoke up once she was close enough.
“He won’t die till you kill him eleven times! Try to take off his fucking head and see if he can heal from that!”
Megumi turned to Mark in surprise when she heard his order, but she didn’t bother arguing much as she split up from Mark while brandishing her sword! Mark left Megumi to do her own thing, and he turned back to his own fight against the Bishop.
…
On the other side of the floating island, Luna and Alec Ben were fighting against a giant horde of human-anima hybrids that had been turned inside the cave.
Luna was outside trying her best to keep the anima at bay without hurting any of the superhumans that were still trying to escape. The anima-human hybrids were all high-level Calamity-class anima or higher, so many of the superhumans that entered the tournament didn’t have the strength needed to fight against such a large number of them!
Luna raised her hand and formed hundreds of ice spikes that shot down on most of the anima, killing them in one go, and she redirected her spikes to the other direction when she saw Alec dash in and out of view while trying to keep one of the larger Eldritch-based anima in check! A superhuman was stuck in the middle of the two battles and was trying to get away, and Alec dashed towards him and grabbed him while shouting to Luna!
“I’ve cleared everything! Freeze them all!”
Luna slammed a foot into the ground and took control of the moisture in the atmosphere! The moisture changed to water and splashed to the ground before freezing over for more than a kilometer in front of her! The anima that had been chasing Alec was also frozen by Luna’s skill, but Luna knew that the ice was not going to last long since it was just water. The ice around the Eldritch anima started to crack down the middle as the anima forced its body to move, and Luna prepared a giant ice spike that she would drive into the head of the anima.
But before she could do that, a loud laugh echoed from somewhere above her and Luna looked up to see Alpha One with his signature giant swords as he shot towards the monster and slammed into it!
BOOM!
The force of his impact tore a hole straight through the ice and into the monster’s body before Alpha One tore his way out from the other side of the monster, leaving a gaping hole in its middle that dripped with blood! The giant monster dropped to the ground, dead, and Alpha One stood up with a wide grin on his face as he cleaned the blood from his sword.

Alpha One had been fighting on another side of the island with Alpha Three, but once this island started to float, Alpha One abandoned Alpha Three back on the main island and followed after the floating island to make sure that he didn’t miss out on the main fight.
SCREECH!!!
The sound of a giant anima screeching in the distance drew Alpha One’s attention toward it, and Alpha One couldn’t even hide his excitement when he saw a giant spider that was as large as a fucking house fighting against a swordswoman! He knew that coming here was the right choice!
Alpha One crouched and shot off the ground to reach that fight without even bothering to say a word to Luna, and Luna didn’t care either as she put a hand to her ear and called on Arit for a situation report.
Since the main threat here was dealt with, Luna could take a breather and find out what the hell was happening on this island.
[I was on the main island when the eastern part started floating. I can’t leave because I’m looking after Tina to make sure the anima here don’t get her. But I’m with Alpha Three, so it should be okay. If you’re not busy, go and make sure that Mark is okay. I don’t want to call him in case he’s in a fight.]
Luna nodded to Arit’s words and spoke up after noticing what she was doing.
“I was fighting, but I should be able to make it over to—”
Crack! Crack!
Loud cracks echoed through the battlefield as the anima that Luna had frozen with her ability slowly started to free themselves from the ice. Luna cursed and told Arit that she would get back to her later before she turned her attention back to the anima!
BOOM!
The first anima closest to Luna freed itself and Luna was already preparing to unleash destruction upon it, but she never needed to do that because the anima never attacked! Instead, the anima turned away from Luna and began to run in the same direction that Alpha One had gone towards the large lumbering spider in the distance!
The other anima-human hybrids also tore their way out from the ice and followed after the first one, and Luna immediately knew that whatever was calling on the anima couldn’t be anything good!
Luna created multiple ice spikes that tore through many of the anima as she started to race past them to get to the fight happening there quickly! The anima all ignored her and just tried their best to stay alive by avoiding the spikes, so Luna had time to put a call out to Alec and tell him to head toward where the main fight was happening.
[Yeah, I know! I’m already on my way there! I ran into Alpha One, but he didn’t stop, so he should be there already!]
