Strongest Superhuman System - Chapter 792
Chapter 792: Final Impact
Mark had never bonded with a human the way he bonded with Megumi just now, so hearing a voice in his head was not something he was used to. Mark shook his head a little and got back into the moment as Megumi began to walk forward.
The wind whipped across Megumi’s face, scattering her long black hair wildly. Her clothes fluttered in the harsh storm surrounding the island, but Megumi stood strong with her sword brandished in front of her like a warrior.
Mark was in a runner’s position as he took in a deep breath, and once he was ready, he said just one word.
“Go.”
BOOM!
A simultaneous sonic blast shook the entire island as both superhumans flashed away from the hill they had been standing on and into the storm of monsters and humans in the sky! Silver flashes tore through the air as Megumi’s sword danced through the horde of anima! Many heads fell from the sky, decorating the ground with blood and the trees and air that tried to get to her were rendered absolutely useless in the face of her fury!
Mark, meanwhile, was an unstoppable force of pure power! His sheer strength prevented anything from standing in front of him for long as his gauntlet demolished them! The humans who were in the way were dragged away from his path by the [Fangs that Link the Heavens] and tossed down to the ground to prevent them from getting back at him quickly!
‘Three on my right.’
SLASH!
SLASH!
SLASH!
Three simultaneous slashes echoed from Mark’s right once he had that thought, and the three giant anima that had been coming for him were immediately torn to pieces by Megumi! Megumi followed after Mark, using the bodies of anima and trees as footholds as the both of them raced through the horde!
WOOSH!
It was a testament to their impossible level of understanding that they didn’t even need to say more than a few words to understand each other! They only needed to have thoughts about what it was that they were about to do and the other person would compensate for it without any form of planning needed!
SCREECH!
The Rook had been fighting against Hao, Alpha One, and Alec Ben down on the ground, and after so long, it had already lost more than seven of its eyes to the fast attacks and relentless blows of the partnership! But once the Rook saw the intense fight that was going on up in the sky, it knew that it couldn’t waste time with the small fry anymore and took off into the air to meet up with the Bishop!
The Rook appeared in Mark’s path as it tried to send another one of its spiked hair attacks to slow him down, but a single swipe of the sword from Megumi was enough to take off the Rook’s left head completely!
With how fast she was going, Megumi didn’t even know that she had taken off one of the Rook’s heads until after the fact, and Mark wasted no time as he headed straight for the other head and coated his hand in pure mana!
[Divergent Fist]!
[Astral Impact]!
It was a blow that could be felt for miles on every side of the island! A massive wave of mana flew past the Rook’s defenses, tearing through its tough skin and into its head before rampaging across its brain like a maelstrom of pure destruction! The punch rendered its one remaining head absolutely useless as its body slowly started to fall to the ground!
Mark didn’t know if that punch was going to take down the Rook once and for all or not, but he didn’t care at all as he and Megumi continued their rampage through the sky and toward the Bishop!
Up in the sky, the Bishop felt something akin to fear filling her heart as she saw what was happening to the anima that she had put between herself and Mark. The Bishop intended to use numbers to stall Mark since she was certain that her power alone was not enough to stand up to him, but even the innumerable number of obstacles between him and her weren’t enough to stop him.
The entire plan for this expedition from the start had been to kidnap Megumi and reduce the number of superhumans in the world by killing those in the tournament. That was why they snuck into the tournament and also why the Bishop had spent so long distracting Mark so that the Rook would have enough time to handle Megumi alone. But it turned out that they miscalculated the strength of the humans. The Bishop had thought that the Rook was strong enough to handle Megumi on its own, but she was wrong. The Bishop had also thought that her strength could stand up to Mark’s own, even if only for a short time, but she was wrong about this as well.
‘Did we ever stand a chance from the start?’
This thought crossed the Rook’s mind as she saw Mark and Megumi finally tear through the last of her defenses and appear in the air close to her. Megumi and Mark were already falling back to the ground since they didn’t have any more footholds to use in raising themselves up, but then the both of them moved their bodies in a way that shocked even the Bishop and made her begin to laugh in morbid resignation!
Megumi turned her body around, making it so that her feet were facing towards the Bishop and Mark moved himself to Megumi and slammed his feet into her own! The both of them bent their knees at the same time, and once Mark gave the order, they pushed off in opposite directions!
BOOM!
A sonicboom echoed through the air as Megumi shot down to the ground like a missile! Megumi slammed into the floor, but Mark was shot upwards at insane speeds towards the Bishop!
Mark and the Bishop floated in the air for one solitary moment, and in that moment, the Bishop felt like she and he were the only two creatures in the world. The swirling sky and raging winds calmed in that moment. The loud explosions and desperate shouts calmed in that moment. The desire and hatred that the Bishop felt for all humans calmed in that moment.

All she could feel right then was respect for the strength of the human KING.
The Bishop’s stomach split open as a mouth formed from it and curved upwards into a resigned tired smile, and she spoke.
“Give my regards to my KING.”
[The User has sent mana to his arms]!
[Divergent Fist]!
[Astral Impact]!
KA-BOOOM!!!
Mark’s fist slammed into the Bishop’s head with the full force of all the mana that he had left in his body! The punch tore through her head, out into the atmosphere and then split apart the clouds in the sky for more than a hundred kilometers in front of Mark, causing the once-stormy clouds to immediately clear up into a blue sky! The Bishop’s blue blood splashed across the air and over Mark’s fist, and the entire island went silent for a single moment as the reality of the situation began to sink in.
At the next moment, the Bishop’s body began to fall, and with it, the island lost its platform and swayed to the side as it also began to fall!
Mark turned around in the air and narrowed his eyes as he saw that the island was going to fall right on top of the main island that it had broken off from. If the smaller island lands on the main island with this much momentum, then both of them are going to be torn to pieces!
There were many people still on the main island, and Mark knew that some of them might die or get seriously injured from the impact!
Mark put his hand to the comms and spoke up quickly!
“Luna! I need you to slow down the island, can you do that!?”
[Yeah, I can! But I’ll need a moment!]
Luna was currently in the middle of trying to fight off some of the stray anima that was trying to use the change in gravity from the fall to get to her! Luna dispatched most of them easily, and the stronger ones, she left to Ida and Alec Ben before she put her hand out to the side and called on all the water that she could gather from the ocean below!
PHWOOOM!
SPLASH!
The water surged up towards the base of the island, and Luna tightened her hand, forming it into ice that she could manipulate more easily! Once that was done, Luna poured her mana out from her body and forced the ice to move upwards!
DOON!
The ice strained against the momentum of the island as the falling island was suddenly slowed down by a small margin. Luna had become a lot stronger in the past few months, but it was still difficult for her to move a giant structure of ice around the same way she could move smaller structures, and she was really struggling because she was not only handling the giant mass of ice but also the island that was on it!
