Strongest Superhuman System - Chapter 807
Chapter 807: Like A Monster
The rest of the day was filled with constant fights and the sound of explosions resounding across the country as Mark and Megumi tried their best to clear out the Japanese islands of all the anima that had filled them. Mark had been right about his assumption that Japan would have more Syndicate members than America. The number of anima that appeared in Japan was nearly three times as high as in America, and after Luna and the rest of the Alpha squad got back to America, they were able to clear out the few anima-human hybrids there easily.
But Japan was not easy to clean up. Not only were there a lot of anima appearing in various parts of the country, but the explosions were a constant worry as people all over the country were getting injured nonstop.
In the hospital, Jeanne was packed with work as she tried to push her blessing to its limit to help both the superhumans and civilians that were being brought in. Jeanne was not the sort of person to care about where she was as long as she could help people, so when the attacks started, Jeanne had already resolved that she would be staying in Japan until they didn’t need her help anymore.
Jeanne was wearing a translator on her ear so that she would be able to understand the Japanese patients easily, and all the other doctors and nurses in the hospital were working around and with Jeanne.
Arit, meanwhile, was fighting outside the hospital! There were many anima that appeared close to the hospital, so Arit was working with Japanese superhumans who could also fight in order to make sure the hospital stayed standing!
Arit tore apart a lizard-based anima that was running on four legs trying to get away from her and stabbed her fingers into the back of the anima to take its mana out before she swung the anima to the side and slammed it into another gorilla-based one that had been charging for her! The gorilla-based anima easily flung the lizard away from its face and roared in agitation, but Arit had already moved toward it, and she landed on its shoulder and shot her two hands into its eyes, blinding it and making it swing for her erratically!
Arit jumped off the anima as it started to swing around while holding its eye in pain, and she moved to its back and stabbed her hand into its spine before tearing it out and kicking the monster forward! Arit jumped on it and stabbed her hand into its body to take the mana out of it, and she looked around to keep an eye on the remaining anima as she recovered her energy.
“She fights like a demon.”
“Did you see who tore that anima apart? It’s like it was watching an anima tearing another anima apart.”
“She even looks like one of them. Are you sure this is alright?”
The Japanese people couldn’t help but comment after seeing the way that Arit was fighting against anima. From their perspective, Arit’s ability to transform was something they had never seen before, so unlike the Americans, they weren’t used to seeing someone like Arit fighting beside them. It was like they were watching an anima fighting against other anima!
But Arit didn’t understand what they were saying since they were all speaking in Japanese, so she just frowned in annoyance as she saw many of the superhumans standing around and watching her without fighting properly!
Arit shouted for them to get moving since there were more anima coming, and the superhumans all started to move once they noticed the way Arit’s eyes glowed while she was shouting at them!
Arit’s comm beeped, and Arit pulled her hand out from the anima under her heel to answer it. Mark’s voice came through the comms, and from the sounds Arit could hear on the other side of the call, she knew that Mark was in the middle of a battle.
[Babe, are you alright?]
Mark’s concerned voice spoke up, and Arit smiled happily as she told Mark that she was fine.
“The anima around here are only Calamity and Disaster classes. I haven’t seen any Eldritch, so you don’t need to worry. I think the hospital should be safe for now, so you can focus elsewhere.”
[Alright. I’m currently in Kyoto. There was a large outbreak, so I had to go quickly, but I should be back in Tokyo once I’m done. I dropped Pat off with the Superhumans who were moving towards the hospital, so he should be there soon. He’s working on something important, and his attention is all over the place as usual. Help me make sure he doesn’t get himself killed.]
Arit chuckled at Mark’s subtle diss, and she said that she would look after Pat.
BOOM!
A massive explosion from in front of her brought Arit’s attention back to the current situation, and she saw a large anima with falcon wings and large horns flying through the air while dropping cars on top of the building. Arit told Mark that she had to go take care of something.
“I’ll call you once I’m done!”
[Sure, babe. Take care of yourself.]
“I love you!”
[I love you too.]
Arit had a wide smile on her face when she heard Mark respond, and once her call was off, Arit glared up at the sky as her aura poured out of her in waves. The fucking anima were keeping her away from Mark. If not for the fact that she had to take care of the hospital, then Arit would have been able to stay with Mark and she would’ve gone to Kyoto with him!
‘Erase them from existence! They dare to stand between us and our KING! They had already forfeited their lives!’
The QUEEN shouted in Arit’s head in happiness and excitement as it ordered Arit to destroy anything standing between her and Mark! The QUEEN was also happy that they got to speak to Mark, so right now, the only thing on its mind was for them to find a way to get to him!
For once, Arit agreed!
Arit’s aura made the large falcon-based anima turn to her and screech in agitation. The falcon dived down toward Arit, and Arit dashed forward to meet it!

…
[Kyoto.]
WOOSH!
The [Fangs that Link The Heavens] slashed across the air in front of Mark and decapitated more than ten anima that were trying to gang up on him. As Mark killed the anima, he was walking forward through a dark alley that had been abandoned. There was an entire pile of anima corpses lying around and behind him, making Mark seem like a reaper from hell, but Mark was not paying any attention to them as his eyes focused on the anima that he was stalking down.
The city of Kyoto was a lot worse than Tokyo. The explosions and anima attacks had started earlier in this part of Japan, and only the low-level guilds that were in Kyoto were there to help out with the attacks. More than a hundred thousand people had already died to the anima before Mark could even make it to the city, and now that Mark was here and was actively dealing with most of the more dangerous anima, he wasn’t able to go everywhere, so there were still casualties piling up.
