Strongest Superhuman System - Chapter 811
Chapter 811: Self Preservation
Genshi told Mark that the only thing they could do now was prepare for an attack on any of the countries that were across the ocean. At least they would be better prepared if the anima decided to move out from Germany.
“So you’re just going to leave them to their fate? What sort of fucking bullshit is that? I thought the whole point of the superhuman alliance was for moments like these. Aren’t you meant to be sending troops to help them?”
Mark glared angrily at Genshi. What Genshi was saying was basically genocide! He was just going to leave the Germans to their fate and allow the anima to kill them all! The Germans had no idea what was coming for them and if those anima got to them, then there was no chance they would be able to hold them all back!
“The only time we are allowed to go out of our way for others is when we ourselves are not facing the exact same crisis. We do not have the agency to spare, so there is nothing we can do.”
Genshi was not backing down in his stance. He was a Japanese director and his first duty was to his own people. Mark also couldn’t really blame Genshi since Genshi was too far away to do anything. The people that were meant to help were the superhuman alliance agents close to Germany and with how many anima were moving towards Germany now, Mark knew that those agents wouldn’t survive even a minute against the horde!
If Genshi tried to stretch himself too far, then he knew he was going to be damning his own people! What happens if Genshi sends superhuman alliance agents from Japan to Germany in order to help them and the anima decide to attack Japan with even more force? They would sink into the ocean from Genshi’s stupidity. It was better for him to leave Germany to handle their own problems while he tried to handle his country.
Mark decided that this was just a waste of time and he turned to leave while talking to Genshi.
“I need you to prepare a jet for me in case things get out of hand. I’ll head over there myself. Megumi, you can handle things here on your own, can’t you? If I leave, then I need you to use this to keep in contact with my people in case there is an emergency.”
Mark took out another comm and threw it towards Megumi. Megumi nodded as she caught the comm and put it on!
Megumi was no longer a part of the superhuman alliance, so she didn’t have to listen to what Genshi was planning to do, but she was still Japanese and she wanted to stay and protect her country! The only thing that would make her leave the country was if there was a situation serious enough to endanger the entire world.
“Hey, look, there’s something showing on TV!”
“It’s that anima horde!?”
“It’s huge!”
The superhumans in the building started to point toward a television that was showing footage of a large group of anima moving through a commercial road that had been completely abandoned. The anima were about to cross over a bridge that would grant them access to Germany and they saw a giant anima at the front of the horde that was crushing buildings and creating great tremors and cracks on the ground as it moved. The anima looked like some sort of giant elephant, but it had the horns of a rhino and large teeth in its mouth that sent shivers down the spines of all the people there when it roared in the sky!
On top of the head of the Armageddon-class anima, sat a creature with green skin and a majestic aura about it. Mark didn’t know why he was able to immediately tell, but once Mark saw it, he knew that this creature was the Anima King that he had spoken to just a few minutes ago.
The sun had already set on the horizon, so the entire region of the city had been cast in darkness which prevented anyone from seeing the sheer number of anima that was moving across the road, but the helicopters that were flying over the horde used their large lamps to light up the region and almost everyone in the building screamed in fear as they saw hundreds of thousands of anima moving behind the large Armageddon like a stream of death and destruction!
At the edge of the bridge that led into Germany, Superhumans were blocking the path for the anima. The superhumans were all soldiers and they were led by the generals from the army.
In their numbers, Mark could just make out the familiar face of Ida as she stood with her own regiment behind another man who was obviously her commander. Ida looked a little worried by the sheer number of anima that were heading towards them, but the general vibe of the army was at ease as they waited for the anima to get close enough.
The first group to attack were the smaller anima that started to run around the large Armageddon’s legs and head straight for the bridge to attack the superhumans. The commander in front of the German army put up his hand once the anima began crossing the bridge and when they were close, put his hand down!
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
The sound of ballistic missiles echoed through the night and the camera panned upwards to show that there were hundreds of missiles flying through the air towards the bridge! The missiles slammed into the bridge, lighting up the night in a fiery explosion as all the anima there were immediately incinerated!
The anima that had not yet gotten on the bridge were not spared either as they were also thrown back by the explosion of another ballistic missile that slammed into them! The German soldier put his hand down again, making the troops behind him fire another group of the missiles, and this time they all headed straight for the Armageddon that was carrying the green-skinned anima.
The Armageddon roared in agitation at the sight of the bright missiles flying towards it, but the creature sitting on top of its head didn’t even bother moving. Instead, it simply unleashed a portion of its power!
DOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!

A feeling of oppression so thick that it was nearly suffocating suddenly descended on the entire region! The person who had been recording the video of the fight immediately passed out from the sheer pressure that he felt and the camera fell from his hand and to the floor of the helicopter. The people all watched in shock as the man’s body fell out of the helicopter to the ground below.
The camera had landed in a position that allowed it to continue filming the fight even though it was upside down, and Mark narrowed his eyes as the sheer aura from the creature caused all of the missiles to detonate prematurely! The area was lit up in a mad ball of fire that washed over everything around it and the anima all roared in joy and praise towards the creature sitting on the Armageddon’s head!
The creature stood as the superhumans prepared themselves for a fight! The bridge that would allow the anima to get across the large river had been broken, but for some reason, all the superhumans in Germany felt like they weren’t safe at all! It felt like there was a knife right on top of their neck and it was going to cut them open in a second!
