Strongest Superhuman System - Chapter 822
Chapter 822: Saviour
Mark freefell to the ground, and as he got closer, he saw there were many more anima surrounding the area where he was going to land.
None of the anima had touched Mark since he arrived, and Mark knew that it was because the anima King had ordered them not to. The anima King seemed like a creature of its word, and since they made a deal, Mark was sure that he wouldn’t go against it for his own benefit.
BOOM!
Mark slammed into the ground with great force, digging a massive crater in the ground, but he was able to stay on his feet, and he stood up gently and began to walk out of the crater he created in the ground. Mark expanded his senses toward where the humans who were being held hostage were kept, and once he found them, Mark crouched and blasted off the ground!
BOOM!
The anima all followed after Mark like they were a swarm of ants following after Sugar, and Mark paid them no mind as he was focused on trying to get to the humans. After a few more minutes, Mark finally arrived at an airport with hundreds of people being held in it. Mark landed in the airport like a comet, and the people all jumped in shock as they watched Mark walk out from the cloud of dust he created.
“KING.”
SLAM!
“Argh!”
One of the people there spoke up in shock once they laid eyes on Mark, but once he spoke, a rat-based anima at the side, slammed its fist into the back of his head, killing him immediately. The hostage beside the man screamed in fear as she saw him die, but she immediately put her hand to her mouth and stopped herself from making any noise so that she wouldn’t be killed too.
Mark frowned when he saw the anima kill the man. There were anima surrounding all the humans, and Mark went up to the anima that killed the man and spoke.
“Who told you to fucking touch him?”
The anima was a giant humanoid rat with large front teeth and bulging eyes, and it screeched in anger toward Mark before it tried to jump at him for an attack!
BAM!
Another anima that was behind that rat suddenly attacked it, and its head blew to pieces as it died. The anima that attacked was a feminine-looking one with four arms, large ant wings behind her back, and a bone-like mask covering her eyes and preventing Mark from knowing what she looked like.
Her legs were bent backward like an ant’s, and Mark couldn’t help but feel like she was giving him a look of hatred even though she wasn’t attacking him.
“The KING has given his word to the humans! Anyone who wishes to go against the KING’s orders will have to go through me!”
The woman shouted toward all of the anima around, and they all began to cower in fear from her mere presence.
The mana that she released told Mark that she was at least as strong as the Armageddon that he fought against when he first got his power. No, she was most likely stronger than that. Mark knew that anima could also suppress their powers, so he wouldn’t be surprised if she was doing the same thing.
The feminine anima was the KING’s knight, and she was the one in charge of handling the hostages that had been taken from Germany. All of the hostages were on their knees, and among the hostages were pilots who worked in the airport.
Mark looked around at all the humans and then he told the anima to let them leave. Mark was already here, so they didn’t need the humans anymore.
“We will release the hostages after you have gone to meet the KING. Not before.”
Mark frowned at the Knight before he turned his head down to look at the rat-based anime who had just been killed before speaking.
“We had a deal that you wouldn’t hurt anyone. But you did, and so I will not move until all of the humans here have been removed from the continent.”
The rat was silent for a few minutes before its eyes suddenly regained focus, and its mouth began to speak.
“Knight. Let them go.”
“But my KING!”
“Do not presume to dictate my desires, Knight. I have given you an order, and you will obey. Or will you have me show cowardice toward the KING of humans?”
The knight felt a chill run through her body as she felt the KING’s aura pressing down on her all the way from the other side of the continent! It was like he was standing right beside her and looking over her with his dark red eyes!
The knight knew that it would be foolish not to obey, and she immediately turned and told the anima to release the humans!

Mark watched as the humans were slowly allowed to get back on their feet, and the anima took steps back from them. The humans all looked from one to another, wondering if they could really just leave, and Mark stood in front of them all and activated [Crown of the Golden Horizon]!
The anima screeched in anger as the yellow light started to fill the area, and the humans felt a powerful aura filling their bodies as they began to gain confidence from Mark’s skill. Mark spoke to them in a calm voice that left no room for debate.
“All pilots should commandeer a plane and take as many people as it can carry. You have exactly five hours to take every person off the continent towards an island due east, and I will be here until you all are safe. Go.”
The pilots in the crowd slowly started to head toward where the planes were parked in the hangars.
The anima around were still angrily screeching at Mark, but none of them attacked him since they wouldn’t dare go against the orders of their KING. Mark just stood there with the golden aura around him, bolstering the confidence of the people and making sure they could all do what they had to do in order to get off the continent as quickly as possible.
There were hundreds of thousands of people in the crowd, and the rest of them were either dead or had escaped earlier before the attacks.
As the pilots started the engines of the planes and began to taxi them out onto the runways, Mark nodded to the people in the front of the crowd for them to start moving to the planes.
There were still a lot of people who were too afraid to start moving, but one of the women in front of the crowd, who was carrying a child, felt confidence fill her as she saw Mark’s encouragement, and she started to walk forward with slightly shaky steps. She headed straight toward Mark without daring to turn to look at the many anima around her, and when she was close to Mark, she leaned over and gave him a hug with grateful tears in her eyes while speaking in German.
“Thank you, KING.”
Mark did not move even as he felt the woman’s gratitude.
The woman knew what was happening here just like everyone else. Mark had come to exchange himself for their lives. Someone that she had never met. Someone that didn’t owe them anything, was giving himself up so that they would be able to live.
It was more than she could ever ask for, and she was eternally grateful for it.
