Strongest Superhuman System - Chapter 837
Chapter 837: Immortality
Mark read the part of the message that said his mana had been replaced by [Divine Mana], and Mark looked into himself to see how much mana he had. Mark thought that he wouldn’t have much mana because of how much he had been fighting all this time, but Mark was even more shocked to notice that his mana had already filled up to fifty percent, and it was still rising even faster.
Mark didn’t know that this was an effect of him being in his domain, and he wouldn’t find out until later when he began to test out what his domain could do.
Instead, Mark looked down at his right arm that had gone missing, and Mark frowned as he focused his mana on it. Mark didn’t know why, but for some reason, he just felt like a missing arm was no longer something beyond his ability. Mark poured his Divine Mana towards the arm, and in the next moment, Mark’s arm slowly began to regrow.
It felt like a thousand little needles were pricking against his skin around that area as the bone and muscles grew back before they were then replaced by smooth skin that didn’t even seem like it had been injured at all.
Was this the power of a god?
Mark brought the arm up and looked at it in wonder. Mark hadn’t even needed to use his [Healing Aura] skill to heal this. He was able to do it using nothing but his Divine Mana.
‘What the fuck?’
Mark was in disbelief as he looked at the regenerated hand. Mark looked down at his left side and saw that the blackened skin that had scarred him there was also healed, leaving him in a perfect state. Mark hadn’t even been thinking about healing the injury, but once he started to spread his divine mana through his body, all of the injuries on him began to heal immediately.
‘I pray that my battle is not fought in vain.’
‘I want to get home to my family.’
‘I want to win this fight and enter Valhalla.’
‘I want to earn the respect of my family. I must win!’
Mark felt his brow furrow as he suddenly began to hear voices echoing in his head. Mark put his hand up to his head as the voices got louder and louder!
Millions of people all talking over one another and at the same time were echoing in his mind!
All the voices were speaking in different languages, but Mark could still understand what all of them were saying! It was like listening to the screams of a football crowd and still understanding what every single person was saying at the same time while they were talking over one another!
Mark closed his eyes and groaned as the screams became too loud, and he put his hand on the floor as he almost fell to his knees!
“System! Stop the voices!”
[Does the user wish to close the [Path for Prayer]? Yes/No?]
“Yes! Yes, close it!”
[Acknowledged. The user will no longer hear the prayers of those wishing for his blessing.]
Mark felt the voices cut off all at once and released a small sigh as he opened his eyes and looked down at the ground. There was some sort of weight pressing down on Mark, and Mark knew that it was the weight of realization. Those were prayers.
People were praying to him?
“System. What the hell did you do to me?”
[The system did not do anything to you. You have done this all on your own, master. The system has simply aided you in incorporating the gifts you have fought to win.]
Mark nodded as he stood and looked at his notification tab. None of the things the system said made sense, but when Mark read through what was on the system tab, Mark realized what the system meant.

Infinite mana?
Mark’s eyes immediately traveled toward the last part of this tab that showed him having infinite Mana, and Mark felt inside of him for how much Mana was present in his body.
Mark noticed that he was already filled with mana, and it seemed like there was no space for his body to accept any more mana. However, rather than him no longer absorbing mana, Mark constantly moved mana out of his body while reabsorbing new mana from the environment.
It was almost like Mark was a conduit or passageway that mana could travel through. No matter how much mana Mark needed, all he would need to do was to draw in the necessary amount of Divine Mana from the environment, and he would be able to use it.
As for the rest of what Mark’s system looked like, it took Mark a few seconds just for him to come to terms with it. Mark sat down on the floor and crossed his legs calmly while looking at the system tabs properly. It was strange for him to be reading that he was a god, and Mark decided that he wanted to try something.
Mark grabbed his right hand with his left and pulled hard enough to tear his arm off. The arm came off easily without Mark even having to try, and just like Mark expected, the arm began to regrow before even a second had passed. It didn’t take three seconds for the arm to regrow, and the arm that Mark had pulled away disintegrated into black dust and fell from his hand.
‘I’m immortal. Can I even die?’
Mark was curious about how far his invulnerability could take him. If his head was cut off, would it regrow?
[Yes. The user’s head would regrow once it is cut off.]
The system answered Mark’s question before he could even finish thinking about it, and Mark asked it another question.
‘Is there any way for me to die?’
[There are weapons in the vast universe capable of killing Gods. But other than that, no mortal or immortal weapon is capable of harming the user.]
Mark felt a chuckle bubbling up from inside him at this answer, and it wasn’t like before when Mark held himself back! Mark put his hand on his face and laughed in amusement! What in the world was this!? Were all the gods like this!?
If Mark had tried to fight a god while he was still a human, then this was what Mark would have had to go up against! They would have eradicated Mark without even trying!
‘I was so stupid.’
At that moment, a strange sense of enlightenment seemed to dawn on Mark. The new level of power that he possessed gave Mark an understanding beyond what mortals could have. The truth of the universe and how power worked was now open to him, and Mark could tell that his existence was something unbelievable.
“System, what does it mean to be the God of War and Conquest? I thought Ares was the God of War.”
Mark asked this question as he looked at his aspect, and the system confirmed that he was right.
