Chapter 292: Chapter 291- Re-establish?
Lena was in charge of the troops that were being sent to the other side. Along with her Ben and Jennifer were present as they stood over the command center and saw thousands of military combatants getting prepared to deploy.
It was Bellarine’s suggestion to do this in waves. The first wave would consist of those polished warriors whom they have prepared over this year. Considering that the initial wave of the enemy forces would contain most of the strong warriors, Bellarine suggested that taking their most quality soldiers would be the best option.
However, in the next wave, she said that having military combatants and those who can keep the army of the enemy forces engaged, would be better to lessen their numbers significantly.
Their goal was to defeat as many soldiers and apostles of the other side, as they could. Richard also thought that militants, if provided the new mana gun Lena invented, could leave a significant impact on the war
As such, now, over a thousand soldiers were prepared with their hands holding the special weapon she recently developed with her team’s help.
“Do you think this would be enough to conclude the war?” Jennifer asked in a hushed tone. It was evident from her voice that she was worried.
They have been hearing from the other side about what has been happening.
The cruelty of the Apostles. The brutal defeat of the Demon General. And also, the way Emily returned, barely conscious and injured, it was evident that this war was not one-sided. They were receiving significant damage as well.
Lena firmly responded, “I won’t lose my hope until the leader is standing.”
The confidence in her eyes showed how much she trusted Richard.
In these few months, she has come to realize why Bella respected him so much.
Someone of his age having such vast power under control and yet being level-headed…maybe once in a thousand years, such a splendid warrior appears in the world.
She had seen him closely in these few months. The work he puts behind the forces, in training them, followed by his own training and also, giving time to his loved ones.
It won’t be too far-fetched to say that she was a fan of him. She admires him.
That’s why, until Richard is standing she won’t lose her faith. Until there is Richard, there is hope.
“Commander!” Suddenly, a roaring voice resonated, making Lena jolt before she turned to look at the ground floor.
She picked up the microphone before asking, “What is it, Abraham.”
The black-haired man, who was in charge of the portal’s administration, informed in a hurried tone,
“We have lost Clion’s exact coordinates! Can’t connect to the battlefield!”
Hearing those words, Lena was taken aback.
They lost coordinates? Then ..does that mean someone removed the pinpoints?!
‘This is bad, without the portals, I can’t even talk to anyone on Clion.’ The major problem was communication, and also, there was no one on Clion who could re-establish the connection.
“Can’t we send someone to Clion and let them search for the battlefield?” Jennifer hurriedly asked, appearing much more panicked than Lena ever could.
But,
“Clion is more vast than Earth, so finding Grimland after going there is almost impossible.” Ben voiced.
“Not for someone who used to live there, though.”
Every eye turned towards the person who suddenly entered the command center.
Lena was surprised as she hurriedly approached the person, “Emily?! Why are you moving around?”
The blond girl was visibly pale and quite weak. She has used a huge amount of Aembr to kill those Apostles. That’s why, Richard told her to retreat.
However, upon hearing the emergency, she decided to help.

“Can you move around like this?” Ben asked in concern.
“She doesn’t need to. Emily just needs to tell us the direction—I will prepare the airships.” Lena hurriedly added.
Since a younger girl was showing such courage, then she couldn’t hold back and let her allies die on the battlefield.
Taking the microphone, she commanded,
“Alert all units.”

Richard had a frown on his face when he saw Vornyx getting defeated.
He couldn’t understand how the Demon who gave such a hard time when Richard summoned him was defeated by a kid.
Yes, James was a demi-god, but he lacked experience.
There is something wrong…
Richard looked closely at the boy—it was true that his body was clad with Divine Essence…but was it enough?
[Beware, boy. He’s slowly realizing his divinity, so defeat him before he becomes a full-fledged deity.]
Hearing Vornyx’s voice in his head wasn’t surprising for Richard.
He knew that the General couldn’t be killed until Zulcriz was alive. However, it was highly unlikely that he would be returning to the battlefield anymore.
Richard focused on the demi-god, feeling that the threat was elevating and he couldn’t postpone his downfall anymore.
“Bellarine, take care of the command.”Switching to his elemental state, Richard said, “I am going to fight that thing.”
Bellarine nodded, “Good luck, son.”
Summoning his beloved trident in his right hand, Richard lunged into the air
The sky darkened under his presence, as he advanced toward James, intending to finish off the boy when he seemed weak.
However, before he could have reached James,
*CLING*
Several waves of Ether traveled through the battlefield, making Richard falter mid-air.
A few parts of his body began to revert to his human state, as he steadied himself in the air.
Looking down, he found his forces were severely damaged by those waves.
Most of them had fallen to the ground, and those strong ones were barely holding themselves on their feet.
Annoyance surged within him before Richard looked at the source of the waves—only to find Eleanor holding a lantern in which white flames were ignited.
Gritting his teeth, he muttered under her breath, “Trying to protect your little prince, eh?”
Eleanor’s eyes widened as she spotted Richard releasing his Elemental State and switching his weapon to that accursed staff.
“Someone go protect James!” She shouted before several apostles rushed towards the boy.
However,
**BOOOOOOOM**
—it was too late.
