Stuck in a Chinese novel - Chapter 428
Chapter 428: Quest VI complete
Chapter 428
“…” Li Fan Sho could only think of the person in front of him as a monster. Someone who destroyed a life and the lives of thousands of others just because he derived fun from it. Fleeting fun at that because he couldn’t spot anything long-lasting in the eyes of the man before him.
Even as his skin and flesh regenerated, the only expression on his face was one of coldness. It was the end of his emotions.
Li Fan Sho was wrong. The man before him wasn’t a monster. He was more. Above and beyond a simple monster.
“You’re the devil.”
“I am.” As if he took pride in that, Wei Jun replied as a sword appeared in his hands and without hesitation, he swung it, cutting Li Fan Sho’s transformed face from his body.
Wei Jun stepped back as the system began to glow in his vision, and his mind was assaulted by the voice of the system delivering the usual notifications.

Crack!
Crack!
Crack!
“Kyaahh!!!”
“Run away!!!”
“Fire!!!”
“What is suddenly happening?!!!”
It was all too sudden. The advent of hell, one could say. It was even worse than the day when the authorities were forced to reveal the secrets of pocket dimensions where monsters resided to the citizens.
The destruction this time was more than before. Looking at the sky that had shattered like glass and the being that had just came out of it, everyone thought of just one thing.
No one was making it out of there alive.
“KKKAAAAHHH!!!!”
A roar that shook their souls. The roar of a dragon. The red dragon that emitted heat and roars to shake the world up above in the sky intimidated everyone down on the ground. Even the cultivators weren’t spared of the onslaught of that power, let alone the mortals who could only kneel in the face of that power.
Commander Yan gritted his teeth as he saw the gigantic monster. He already had his hands full fighting smaller level monsters yet now there was a monster up above in the sky that floated in the sky like a wave.
A Chinese dragon. The snake-like being with four hands and feet, that resembled an ‘Imoogi’ more than it resembled a dragon, but the size of the being and how it covered almost half of the city was far more than a simple imoogi.
“KAAAHH!!!”
Another roar shook everyone in the city. Even Commander Yan wasn’t confident in facing that being. He could only hope the elder would come himself. Even if the military commanders were to join him, victory was…
“Impossible.”
The water emitted from the mere movement of the dragon was flooding the city. At this rate, the city would be drowned even before the monstrosity came down.
‘There’s no other choice.’ Commander Yan braced himself for battle. He knew he wasn’t going to win, but all he could hope for was to keep the dragon busy until the authorities evacuated the city and his subordinates and the military cleared the smaller dungeons that had appeared all over the city.
But…
‘Move!’
His legs wouldn’t move. He yelled inwardly again and again but no matter what he did, he couldn’t bring himself to move in the face of the pure power. The absolute strength of the dragon was far superior to the cultivator like Commander Yan.
‘I’ll die.’ He came to a single conclusion. He’d die if he faced the monster up above in the sky. Only death awaited such a move. It was foolishness.
‘I guess I am a fool.’ Finally, determined, he took a step forward, but before he could move any more…
“Move.” A deep, heavy voice entered his ear. A man dressed in red clothes, red boots, red hair, and deep red eyes, bearing rosy white skin, passed him.
“What luck.” The man spoke, “The ‘Lòng’ hasn’t fully regained its strength yet. It’s doable.”
Intense heat began to form at the hands of the red haired man as conflagration of pure mana gathered at his hands, wings made of fire appeared at his back as he said, excitement in his eyes and voice, “Let’s experience the power of a Dragoon.”
Shaa!!!
Morial took a deep flight and collided with the dragon that was up above in the sky.
“KKAAHHH!!!”
A roar filled with rage. The very intensity and reverberations from the roar shook everything in existence and even dissipated a lot of Morial’s power before he collided with the dragon.
“Tch!” Morial clicked his tongue but moved back after delivering his strike. Even though he had evolved, facing a dragon was still an arduous task.
But with that one strike, he was now sure of it.
“It’s doable,” Morial said as he began to transform. The giant wyvern, like before, was nowhere to be seen. His very being changed as he began to transform.
Although his full size had changed by a lot, his wings were bigger and shaper than before, almost as big as his body.
His body was now covered in scales, unlike flesh before, when he was a wyvern. A longer tail with a spike at the end of it, his arms and legs were longer and deadlier, and most of all, the unique characteristic of the dragon race, or only of his children…
“Dragon’s breath.”
Although he was just a dragoon, a draconian in simple terms, not a full dragon but closer to it than any other being, he could still be regarded as a dragon, and as such, he could now use the unique skill of the dragon race that he couldn’t use before.
“Kaahhh!!!”
The dragon screamed once again, but this time, intense fog emitted from its body, covering the sky, the water attribute fog that was denser than any other in nature.
But…
Shaa!!!
All of it burned away at the intense heat emitted from Morial. The fire that came out of his mouth wasn’t just a simple fire. It was a fire of existence, both the beginning and the end of it.
And this one was delivered with the intent of eradicating everything in existence.
“Khhhaaa!!!”
