Chapter 464: Slaughterer of the East (1)
Chapter 464

“Lord Wei Jun, when will your companions be joining us?” The woman whose name was Kang Jihye asked. From the information she had voluntarily imparted on Wei Jun without even him asking, he found out that she was a princess, the daughter of the previous emperor.

His son from a fling went mad once his mother killed herself, so he could be free from her and focus on living a good life for himself, and went on a rampage, wiping out most of the imperial family, the emperor, his eighteen wives, and fifty three children while she, the fifty fourth one, managed to run away.

‘Ten bucks, half of those kids weren’t his.’ Wei Jun mused inwardly and replied to the woman, “They would be joining us once I killed all of the emperor’s cursed creatures.”

“So tell me about those Jiangshi? Do people bitten by them turn into them?” Wei Jun asked.

“Some do. While some perish.” The woman replied.

“Ahan.” Wei Jun replied halfheartedly while trying to suppress his annoyance a bit. It had been two days since their departure from the village, but so far, he had come across not even one of the creatures that granted him stat points.

At first, he was overjoyed by the fact that he could raise his stats by killing zombies, and given that zombies could

multiply at a very fast pace, one would think there were tons of them. Yet, he was disappointed when he came across no one for two days.

‘At this rate, it would be better to travel alone.’ WeiJun wanted to do that, but given that he knew nothing about the geography of the place, he needed reliable guides, and who would be better for that task than the very princess of the place?

Rustle…

Rustle…

“Stop!” Wei Jun’s ears perked up at the faint noise. He remained on guard as he kept his focus on the place while the two with him, who sensed nothing, could only trust him, given that he was stronger than them.

Almost instantly, something appeared from the bushes near them, a walking dead, a jiangshi. But that wasn’t all of it, there were hundreds of them in its tow if not more.

“Now that’s what I’m talking about.” Wei Jun said with a bright smile on his face.

“Your highness! We must find cover!” The man said and dragged the woman away, who had withdrawn a dagger from her robe and was ready to fight. She put up a fight to remain in the place, but other than throwing a tantrum, the woman wasn’t able to do anything at all, and the man soon disappeared into the woods with the woman.

‘Good riddance.’ Wei Jun couldn’t be happier about that. He was about to get rid of them anyway if they had taken his prey or his stat points.

“Now…” Wei Jun said as a layer of Death Qi appeared around him as he activated [Death Veil] and covered a certain area around him.

The creatures running at him disregarded everything and just focused on the fresh meat that was him, and jumped at him only to be disintegrated by the territory of death in an instant. They turned to dust almost instantly as soon as they came in contact with it, yet they didn’t stop.

They kept running at him, eradicated, then some more. The cycle went on for some time before Wei Jun raised his hand and blocked a strike aimed at his face.

Wei Jun looked at the creature that had a layer of dark Qi around its body. The movement just now belonged to a veteran fighter, but Wei Jun could spot no intellect in the creatures. He could only draw the conclusion that the creatures had their life ingrained in their bodies.

The dark Qi managed to cover the creature for a few more seconds than the rest of the bodies, but even that disintegrated in the end after a few seconds. But those few seconds were enough for it to reach Wei Jun.

[Qi construct]

Spears of Death rained down on the rest of the creatures.

The next moment, all of the creatures were instantly wiped out while Wei Jun’s system kept pinging nonstop for a while, even when the creatures died, and finally came to a stop and displayed the total gain from killing the creatures.

[Strength: +13.2]

‘Not bad.’ Wei Jun said. Although the increase was meager, the number of cultivator jiangshis was only five among those hundreds of jiangshis, and the rest he had killed were mortal jiangshis.

“Guoh!!!”

While he was busy marveling at the increase in his stats, he heard a loud roar and immediately raised his fist in front.

Bang!!!

The creature moved faster than a cultivator at the master realm of cultivation. Not only was it fast, but it was equally deadly as well. Of course, it was no match for Wei Jun, who was as strong as a commander-level cultivator even without Qi.

But…

“Strange.”

Wei Jun couldn’t help but say. The creature was not only resisting the decay of Death Qi, but it also seemed like it was doing something else.

“Who are you?” A sentence fell into Wei Jun’s ears as he heard the creature before him speak. While the creature was speaking, it wasn’t it that was speaking.

Wei Jun looked at its eyes that were dilating every few seconds. It was relaying whatever was happening there somewhere else. Probably to something that had a connection to it.

“Slaughterer of the East, I presume?” Wei Jun asked.

“What?” But the voice had no idea what he was talking about. Another question Wei Jun had in his mind was answered with that.

Just like the angel from his dreams, this event was a part of the history of the current world he was in.

“Nothing.” Wei Jun simply replied as he dodged an attack from the creature effortlessly.

“What do you want?” The man from the other end of the zombie asked.

“No idea.” Wei Jun nonchalantly replied as he stuck to only dodging. He was afraid he might end up killing the thing, and he wanted to keep talking to the guy to get as much information as he could. After all, he still didn’t know why he was there.

“What?” The man was once again confused.

“Tell you what. Surrender yourself to me, and we will talk about this peacefully.” Wei Jun stated his outrageous demand. From his words, he didn’t seem to be asking for peace. Like he was doing the other guy a favor.

“…” The man remained silent for a while before he asked, “Quite arrogant of you.”

“Confident.” Wei Jun simply replied before he planted his feet into the ground firmly and punched the creature at his fastest, blowing its upper body away.

[Slaughter of the East’s power has been detected]

[Consumption in progress]

[You have absorbed a portion of darkness within the Jiangshi]

[You have obtained one mid-grade strength elixir]

[You have obtained one mid-grade agility elixir]

[You have obtained one low-grade stamina elixir]

[You have obtained one high-grade defense elixir]

[Death Qi +1000]

[Gold Tael +1000]

“Well, I guess with that, the negotiations have broken down.” Wei Jun thought as he absorbed the elixirs he had obtained, only to be shocked by the gains.

“Your majesty. Shall I go and bring the head of that insolent bastard for you?” A man knelt respectfully in front of a boy whose voice was heavier for his age, and could easily be mistaken for the voice of a man, not a boy his age.

“No.” The boy replied in his heavy voice and looked at the woman who was screaming on the floor before he administered a pill into her mouth that calmed her down. Once she was stable and breathing without pain, he once again extended his hand, and something dark emitted from his hand, entering the woman’s body, that began the cycle of her screaming once again.

“But he dared to defy you, your majesty. Please let me do something about him.” The man on his knees insisted, but the boy was more focused on the screaming woman whose drool from her open mouth fell on the floor. One would think from the constant torture she had been through, she would have already lost her mind, but she hadn’t, and that was exactly what made the boy happy.

“He will come to me on his own.” The boy replied before he looked at the golden seal on the back of his fist and added, “Prepare to welcome him.”

“Understood, your majesty.” The man replied and left. Left alone with the woman, the boy enjoyed her screams once again before he repeated the cycle again and again, but never once did he grow tired of doing so.

The seal on the back of his palm began to glow, and he clicked his tongue in annoyance, “I get it. I’ll have it done.”

And with that, silence once again descended in the throne room. Well, except for the screams of the woman who didn’t stop for days to come.
