Chapter 692: Attack
“Boss. We are ready to attack!”
The people had wielded their respective weapons, ready to fight against the soldiers.
Leon squinted his eyes before raising his own massive sword. “Get ready! We shall—”
Before he finished, he, along with a few other summoners, suddenly noticed the enormous ena coming from the sky. They were turning their heads at the same time.
“What is that?”
“Attack!”
“We’re getting attacked!”
“Kh.” Leon pulled his sword to the side. “Intercept them!”
An archer raised his bow together with the elf next to him. Their arrows shone brightly as they released their attacks at the same time.
The arrows flew to the sky and suddenly split into numerous arrows, hitting one bullet after another.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
A series of explosions filled the sky, startling the entire city.
The rest of the summoners as well as their familiars attacked those bullets.
“Gust Sword!” Leon waved his blade. With such a massive surface, the wind flow around the blade became turbulent and gradually formed a tornado, messing with a lot of explosive bullets.
However, there was no way they could intercept all of them, especially without preparation.
“Brace for impact!”
The summoners warned them as 18 out of 64 bullets fell on them. Some directly hit the people, some hit the ground, and the rest hit the building around them.
Boom!
“Gaaahhhh!”
“Help!”
“Aaahhh!”
“Nooo!” The people were screaming. There were a lot of them that ended up dying once they got hit by the blast, while some lost one or two limbs.
Still, some bullets hit the buildings and destroyed them. The rubble either got launched by the blast or fell to the ground.
Some people located near those buildings couldn’t help but widen their eyes in shock as they were soon buried underneath those rubbles.
The casualties from the attack alone were enormous.
As Nathan said, it was good to let them gather. He could wipe them out all at once.
Some summoners had their familiars protect them or the people, but still, they definitely lost over a hundred people from the initial attack alone, not counting the injured ones.
“Hahaha. As expected, he is strong. I’m going to stop him.” Alan grinned. Even though he said he wanted to stop him, Alan never cared about these people’s lives. He just wanted to fight Nathan.

Meanwhile, Leon shouted, “Scatter. Hurry up and attack the soldiers. There’s no way they can target all of us if we scatter. Make those soldiers pay with their lives.”
“Run!” The people shouted and started running for their lives.
Because of the attack coming from the west side, the people ran mostly to the east side. Some thought it would be better to go to the north or south sides, but none of them dared to go to the west side.
Noticing their movement, Flora, who had been hiding inside a building not far from them, placed her hand on the ground. “Activate.”
Several magic circles appeared on the north and south sides of the slum, creating a massive wall that blocked the road.
When people saw the wall, they couldn’t help but shout, “Since when is there a wall here?”
“It doesn’t matter. Run! We can still go that way!”
With Iris’ help, Flora managed to block all the important intersections and moved the flow of the people toward the east side.
Meanwhile, Nathan immediately leaped from one roof to another, heading straight toward the plaza.
“There’s someone in the sky!” One of them warned the group out loud.
Nathan raised his right hand and formed a huge cube and split them into sixty-four before releasing all of them in all directions.
“Incoming!” The summoners prepared their respective attacks. They noticed that this attack wasn’t as strong, so they should be able to fare much better than the previous attack.
And this was the time Flora made her move.
“This is the time.” Flora muttered. She formed a magic circle in front of her palm. Her fire, ice, plant, and lightning spirits did the same thing. Flora shouted, “Attack!”
When the enemy’s summoners were about to unleash their attacks, a manifestation of massive vines, a firestorm, an ice wave, and a pair of lightning bolts hit them from the side.
“Watch out!” Leon gritted his teeth as he and his familiars leaped to the side. He still remembered Alan saying that he had to take care of the summoner himself.
After seeing the power of that sneak attack, he was convinced this was indeed his role.
“Go!” His familiars charged ahead while Leon smashed the pair of lightning strikes with his sword.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
“Kh.” Leon gritted his teeth, having a hard time because he didn’t have enough time to conjure his own attack.
However, he managed to hold on… albeit Flora knew it was indeed the perfect time to attack.
“!!!” Leon widened his eyes, sensing a presence coming straight at him.
He hurriedly put the sword in front of him before a woman appeared out of nowhere. She struck the blade with two palms, discharging a lightning bolt from point-blank range.
“Not good!” The lightning discharge slipped through his blade and blasted his body, launching him to the building 20 meters (66 feet) away.
“!!!” The summoners wanted to check on their boss, but the bullets coming from Nathan made them occupied, especially since they had to stop it unless they wanted to take another massive blow.
“Hahahahaha. I was right. You are strong! I will kill you this time!” Alan’s excited voice echoed throughout the slum as he kicked Nathan.
“!!!” Nathan raised both arms and formed a shield to block his kick but noticed there was a small sphere on his foot, turning into a sharp blade.
Nathan hurriedly moved the shield a bit forward as the kick landed on the barrier.
*Crack!*
The impact of the kick alone was enough to crack it, but the blade that formed on that foot pierced through the barrier.
Nathan tilted his head to the side as the blade was extended, grazing his cheek. If he didn’t dodge it, he would have died from the first strike.
However, he had already prepared to fight Alan from the beginning.
“Jinwu!”
Jinwu flew into the sky.
“There is no night in this world. Night is just a part of the world that doesn’t receive the sun’s kindness. Behold the power of the sun, mortals.” Jinwu turned into his battle form as a bright light suddenly illuminated the entire city as though the sun had descended. “The sun never ceases to shine.”
