Nathan shook his head. “I don’t plan to have my name there. Well… if you insist, you can put it in Her Highness Flora’s name.”

“What’s this? You’re still calling Flora ‘Her Highness?’ I thought your relationship was much better than that.” The king chuckled, teasing them.

“…” Nathan smiled wryly while Flora looked away, feeling embarrassed.

“I understand your way of thinking. That’s why I’ll be taking her right to the throne. If you wish to marry her, I will grant you my daughter’s hand in marriage.

“I don’t plan to interfere with your family. However, there are two things I’d like to request.” The king raised two fingers. “If the Azilia Kingdom is facing its survival crisis, I hope you can help the kingdom.”

Nathan nodded his head. “It’s not much. Besides, humans are social creatures. If there are no people or kingdoms, living will be quite boring.”

The king was satisfied with Nathan’s answer. Instead of giving an assurance that felt like an empty promise, Nathan showed a much more casual interpretation that might look unreliable from an outsider’s perspective but was much more reassuring for those who knew him.

The king then turned to Flora. “And this is the most important thing. I hope you are able to make my daughter happy.”

Nathan’s expression turned solemn. “I will.”

The king nodded. “You might worry about it, but I don’t think Selena Ashton is a bad choice to be the first wife. Count Ashton is an exceptional individual, and it’s said that Sage Leyfon is her master.

Julius looked amused. “I see. Sea travel, huh? The possibility of the aliens coming at a higher intensity… there is indeed a need to check them. Still, if you wish to learn about it, you should be asking Flora, since her aunt is the one holding that record.

“If she doesn’t give it to you, you may use my name to convince her.”

Flora looked surprised at first but soon showed a big smile. “Yes. I’m living my life to the fullest, Father.”
