Chapter 900: Alien’s Plan
“!!!” Flora and the others raised their stances again.

The aliens charged forward at full speed, trying to catch up to them. Unfortunately for the aliens, this was Peng’s specialty. He skillfully adjusted his speed to match the centipede, not letting the gap between them disappear.

Even the warrior class aliens that turned back earlier were enraged. They chased after them with an even greater ferocity.

“This doesn’t look good.” Selena frowned. “At this rate, those aliens will catch up to us and Peng’s speed will decrease. But if we leave the alien here, I’m afraid it’s still too close to the first prince.”

“Yeah.” Flora frowned. “At this rate, we don’t really have any choice but to escape.”

Sera didn’t say anything, but Asmodeus seemed to have noticed something that no one had yet.

Asmodeus asked, “My esteemed master. Don’t you think the alien is too passive?”

“Too passive?” Sera raised her eyebrows. “What are you talking about, Asmodeus? We’ve been fighting the aliens so fiercely…”

Nathan’s expression remained unchanged, as though he already knew it from the beginning. “Something is coming.”

“!!!” Sera and the others were confused. Even Selena couldn’t follow what he was saying.

Asmodeus smiled. “It appears you have figured it out, Master. This massive alien is scary, but it’s nothing against people like us who can easily outrun him. Yet, this alien has been persistently following us. Why is that?”

“Ah!” Selena was taken aback. “So, that’s how it is. The alien should have known that we won’t be able to defeat him and he won’t be able to catch up to us. But the fact that he is still chasing means this centipede is sure that he can catch up to us.”

“But there’s no way he can catch up to us except by using…” Flora was startled. “More aliens?!”

It might be because of what Nathan unleashed earlier, but the elite class alien actually sped up his plan even if it meant it wasn’t ready yet.

In that instant, all the flying aliens on its back finally took off to the sky. There were so many aliens that the sky darkened because of the cell.

These aliens split up into two groups, blocking their two sides. They didn’t have the intention to come closer to Nathan as though they realized it would just create an opportunity for Nathan.

But with this single strategy, they could easily lock up Nathan. If the latter chose to break through them, they would be able to slow him down to the point where the elite class alien caught up to them.

At the same time, if they didn’t do anything, they would have to continue on this path until they reached deeper and deeper into the alien territory. When another strong alien appeared, they would be destroyed.

However, an elite class alien like this wouldn’t really work together with another elite class alien just to get rid of some annoying flies.

By combining all those points, they deduced the alien must have prepared something else.

With how they were positioned, it was clear that the alien wanted them to go forward. In other words, the trap that the alien prepared was none other than the aliens in the front.

“Oi! We’ve got a problem here.” Fenrir’s voice suddenly echoed inside Nathan’s head.

He sent Fenrir to the front because he was much more useful there. In addition, he could also figure out the situation in front if they needed to break through.

But to think that even Fenrir would think the situation troublesome. Nathan understood what the elite class alien wanted. It came from their back while the flying aliens would form a wall on the sides. With this group of aliens blocking their path, they would soon be encircled.

It was a simple strategy, but a very effective one. Nathan had no choice but to go forward, but Nathan was slightly disappointed.

“I see. If that’s the case, there’s only one thing to do.” Nathan shook his head helplessly. “Why are you guys using the same tactic?”

“Nathan?” The girls were confused. They didn’t understand what was going on, especially in the front.

The other person who had used this tactic was none other than the previous warrior class mutant. In fact, Nathan personally had done such a thing when he and Selena took refuge in Duke Sullivan’s camp.

That was why he understood one thing. He just needed to break through.

“Fenrir. Tell Alavenya to be the main vanguard. Ask Noelle to assist. Break through. That’s my only order.”

“There seem to be around 7 warrior class aliens blocking our path. Are you sure?”

“Will that be a problem?”

Fenrir harrumphed. “Take your time coming here. We’ll be done once you arrive.”

Nathan smiled. “You three. We’ll be playing this more passively. Keep attacking the sides and make sure they can’t surround us here. I will stop the attack from the elite class alien.”

“What’s going on?” Selena asked while moving to her position.

“It’s nothing much. Noelle and Alavenya seem to be blocked by a small wall.”

…

“That’s his order,” explained Fenrir.

“He seriously said that?” Noelle looked surprised. Before them were 7 warrior class aliens. Even if both of them were able to take down a warrior class alien in a few minutes, there were still five more they needed to deal with.

However, Alavenya was different. Before going on this expedition, she came to Nathan to discuss her summoning.

“I see. You don’t want to summon a draconian or the monkey king?” Nathan crossed his arms.

“Yes. The monkey king is what I personally need, but I don’t think I have the ability to control him if it’s as you described. Besides, I understand very well how vexing it is to be confined. So, I don’t really want to restrain him by summoning him.

“However, a draconian is not something I really need right now. While it’s true that having a balanced group is preferred, we rarely go to the alien territory by ourselves due to the danger.

“Hence, I want something that can fight alongside me as a vanguard, like the Monkey King. I need someone strong who can fight to the death in the front. My familiars are good, but it’s not enough. I need one more person who can catch up to me.”

Nathan looked down, falling into deep thought. Surprisingly, the one who answered her question was actually Mae. “If that’s the case, I do have a suggestion.”
