Chapter 1995: Easy Peazy!
‘I am royally fucked, aren’t I?’
Nux cried.
Yes, he literally cried.

Right now, Nux was on his knees, his body was tilted since his body was strongly disproportionate, so he was also forced to use his elbows to support himself.

If the right water was making him older and the left water was making him younger, then the right part of his body, which was absorbing some of both left and right water, must have slowed down the aging process.
It wasn’t just that—the left part of his body, which was now receiving less left water, must have slowed down as well, just not as significantly as the right part.
And this was exactly what was happening with Nux.

If he didn’t do anything, he would die, and since there was no time to test his theory, he decided to act on whatever he had.
The control he had over the left side of his body was extremely limited, and while moving his right side was still difficult, he could move it.
And that is what he did.
He moved the right part of his body towards the left water as he rotated his body. It was difficult, his muscles had next to no power, he was pretty much dragging his body, and his movement was extremely slow.
“Haaah… Haaahh… Haaahh…”
Within a few seconds, he was already out of breath. Yes, that was how old his body had gotten.
However, not everything was in vain.
As more and more of his right body got to the left water, the amount of right and left water in the right side of his body became equal.
His right body wasn’t aging anymore.
It was working.

He took deep breaths of relief as he lay on the ground, letting his body return to its normal state.

As his left body grew and reached the level of a 10-year-old child, he finally moved.
His right body was not as old as before, so he had somewhat gotten his control back. The aim was now to continue crossing the river.

Nux started crawling backwards.

A feeling he relished quite a lot.
He finally realized what a blessing a normal body was.
This feeling, however, didn’t last for long.
The situation had reversed, his left body had now started aging while the right had started regressing.
Not that he was surprised—Nux had expected this. Rather, he was prepared for this. He continued to swim backwards as fast as he could, allowing his body to age differently. Then, the moment the right part of his body reached around the size of a 15-year-old, he turned around and reversed the flow again.
Yes, he finally found the way out.
‘Hmph! Easy Peazy!’
He grinned.
