Chapter 2020: Time Anchor and Time Compass.
“Though I do have another interesting feature.”

He spoke up, instantly gathering his wives’ interest. They stared at him, waiting for him to continue. They were literally standing at the very beginning of an entirely separate Universe, their own Universe. All of them were extremely interested in it and wanted to be a part of it.

Nux smiled at their interest. He then glanced at the Time Anchors, and a few Runes imprinted on it became brighter, as if Nux was highlighting them.

Felberta, who saw those Runes, narrowed her eyes.

When she trained with Faustina to get the Power of Genesis and inherit Aurelia’s Law of Genesis, she had studied millions of Runes, and while she still couldn’t recreate or comprehend all the Runes used to create the Time Anchor, identifying a particular set of Runes wasn’t very difficult.

“Rune of Endless Memory.”

She muttered as she glanced at Nux.

Nux’s smile widened.

“These Towers will keep constant records of everything that happens under their sphere of influence for an Eternity.

These records can be accessed by every being who learns to access these Runes, allowing them to peek into history from their current time, all the way to the time when the Universe’s first True Life Forms were born.”

Nux paused as he momentarily glanced at all his wives before he continued,

“I have seen memory of thousands of worlds. I have seen millions of civilizations rise and fall to the point I got bored of it.

So much so that I had started predicting how long it would take for a certain civilization to fall and for the next one to take over.

It had become a game for me, a game I had become quite good at.

Do you know how?”

Nux questioned.

The women frowned, paying attention to his words.

“History.”

The women’s frown deepened and Nux’s explanation deepened.

“Almost all civilizations had the habit of burning previous civilizations’ histories and manipulating their own. Some did it to a lesser degree, while others, did quite a bit.

The knowledge they left for the next generation was… altered.

That was one of the signs. A civilization that altered history regularly usually fell quicker than others.

So the only thing I will give to the beings of my Universe is a Right to True History.

I will give them a chance to learn from their predecessors’ mistakes and… well, survive.

Again, how they will use this Gift depends on them.

I have done my part—well, at least half of it.”

“Half of it?”

“I still need to create one more thing to stabilize Time.”

“One more?”

The women frowned. Nux, on the other hand, extended his hands as the Time Anchor he created started trembling violently.

Bzzz Bzzz Bzzzzz

BZZZZZZ

In the end, the tremors became much stronger than before. It almost felt like the Anchor was about to break apart, but then, as if it was forcefully extracted out of the first one, another Anchor appeared in front of them.

BZZZZZZ

The process continued. More and more Anchors continued to form, constantly cloning each other until it reached the amount that satisfied Nux.

With a wave of Nux’s hand, these Anchors spread all over Umbrasol, settling in every 1,000,000 square kilometers, just as Nux had stated.

Then, Nux raised his hand and a small, elegant device formed in his palm.

It was made of smooth, silvery metal that shimmered softly. At its center was a tiny hourglass, filled with glowing sand that moved slowly, very similar to the Hourglass inside the Time Anchors.

Surrounding the hourglass were thin, spinning rings etched with shifting symbols—runes that gently changed shape with every heartbeat. The needle inside the circular ring constantly pointed at the nearest Time Anchor.

“What is this…?”

Felberta questioned again.

“A Time Compass.”

“A Time Compass?”

“A Bridge between one’s Personal Time and Universal Time. A Time Compass can be used to switch between Personal and Universal Time more efficiently.”

“I thought the switch was linked to one’s emotions.”

Amaya questioned with a frown.

“It is.”

Nux nodded.

“But again, emotions are too unstable. Different people have different degrees of emotions. Take two lovers for example—if one of them feels more ‘love’ than the other, the two will have different Personal Times, which would create another set of problems.

The Compass solves that issue.

One can connect their Time Compass to another being, allowing them to share their Personal Time. Of course, the number of individuals one can connect to will be limited to three, and the chosen three cannot be changed, even when one of the chosen dies.

Again, I made these multipurpose as well.

A Time Compass’s needle always points at the nearest Time Anchor. It also has another, much more interesting feature—

Emotional Preservation.”

The women tilted their heads, curious.

“The Time Compass allows people to Mark three special moments of their lives, allowing them to relive those moments and feel the same emotions they once did.

A mother can preserve the feeling of holding her newborn child.

A warrior can revisit the exact moment their brother fell, understanding the sorrow they once denied.

Lovers can re-experience their first kiss—not just in memory, but with the full emotional weight of that moment’s Time.

It will be my most personal and precious gift to the beings of my Universe.”

“This… this is beautiful.”

Evane spoke up, loving this idea. Her mind already started thinking of what three moments she would choose.

“See? I am not an emotionless monster.

I care.”

Nux chuckled at her words.

“But why are there only three moments?”

Evane frowned. She had been trying to think of three moments, but she had so many beautiful moments she had spent with Nux that she couldn’t choose just three.

There should be at least a milli—no, a billion moments.

Nux, however, shook his head.

“This is supposed to be a small gift, not a curse.

I cannot let my people live in the past. The number of times they can relive these moments in a year will be limited as well.

Let’s say… once every 10,000,000 heartbeats.”

“That’s so mean…”

Evane pouted.

To which, Nux just chuckled as he pulled her close to him.

“This is just for beings living here in Umbrasol. You do not have to worry about it.”

He whispered into her ears as he felt her body touching his. Evane squirmed, her eyes brightened.

“Does this mean I will have no limits to the moments I store and number of times I relive them?”

She questioned excitedly.

“No, even better.

I will make sure you will never need to Mark a moment because I will always be with you, creating much more likable moments.

Why relive the past… when we can keep creating a more beautiful present?

No?”

Nux whispered again. His voice was so seductive that it resembled a demon trying to entice an innocent woman.

And the innocent woman did indeed fall for the enticement as Evane’s face turned red and,

“mm.”

She nodded lightly, slowly rubbing her body with Nux’s as his hands caressed her butt and then,

Bite

Nux bit her long ears,

“Annnhh~”
