Chapter 180: Anchor
“Belle, I think we should start preparing for our return to our world,” Idan said, much to Arabel’s surprise.
“What? How? Didn’t Nemo say that the key he received was only capable of teleporting him?” Arabel hurried to ask.
All this time, the couple was talking using a mental link.
“No, I mean returning to our world, not leaving Limbo. These are completely different things,” Idan clarified.
Arabel froze, trying to process what she’d just heard.
“Phew, — sighed Idan.
“The system, yes, has given us a task to find a way to leave this place within a certain time, and that time has not expired yet!” said Idan, paying attention to the timer that appeared on their first day here and was still ticking. There was just over half a month left.
“I don’t know why the System is still silent, but I believe it will only recognize the task as completed when we leave this place or when Nemo leaves Limbo,” Idan explained.
“Isn’t that right, System?” he asked the System.
[You’re absolutely right, Host!] — the System readily confirmed, and Arabel, surprised, trembled slightly.
“Does that mean we’re going back soon?” she asked softly.
On the one hand, Arabel was glad to be back, but something inside her didn’t want it.
Seeing Arabel’s condition, Idan took her hand.
“Calm down, Belle, you’re not alone, and we’ll both come back together, just like we came here,” Idan assured her.
After recovering a little, Arabel was lost in thought and couldn’t help but ask Idan a question.:
“Dan, I’ve been thinking and I can’t figure it out. Doesn’t this mean that the System could initially bring us back to our world? Without all that?”
“Yes, it is!” replied Idan, having roughly understood what Arabel was asking. However, he then added, “But the System didn’t do it because of the title of ‘Supreme’!”
Upon hearing the name of the title that their Systems had, Arabel frowned.
“Understand, Belle, we didn’t get into Limbo at the whim of the System or by accident. We were teleported here intentionally because of our title of “Supreme”! Idan began to explain his thoughts, seeing that Arabel didn’t quite understand what was happening.
“The system could have brought us back to our world the moment we were in Limbo, but then we would have lost the qualification for this title! The system couldn’t let that happen!” he said, pausing so Arabel could process his words.
“Figuratively speaking, instead of teleporting us, like all other System users, to the novice village, the System, due to the interference of our title “Supreme”, sent us to a region with a higher level, which is several levels higher than our own,” Idan continued, drawing an analogy with the game.
Idan slowly explained to Arabel his thoughts that had arisen after he had reflected on everything, they had been through over the months and remembered the tasks given to them by the System.
Idan and Arabel were inexperienced newcomers, residents of a modern city who had no idea how to survive in harsh conditions. They were simply transported to another world, and with a higher level of difficulty.
If it weren’t for the System’s rewards, hints, and random encounters, the couple would have no chance of survival.
Their meetings with Nemo and Eulalia, and then with Milica, became especially significant. It was these acquaintances and connections that became the key factor that helped them overcome all difficulties, rather than their own strength, which was hardly considered average in this small world.
The subsequent meetings with Sierra and Geminia were truly a turning point.
“And now that Nemo has obtained the key and clue leading to the so-called ‘Throne’ of one of the five World Kings, we can say that we have passed the trial for the title of ‘Supreme’. Now the System can bring us back without fear that we will lose our title,” concluded Idan.
Idan linked the trials of the “Supreme” title to the World Quest. Now that they had completed the first two tasks and received the third, which required them to get to Junonia, it was an obvious hint that they had completed the trial.
Arabel, after listening to Idan’s arguments and explanations, became thoughtful and looked at him with some admiration. She had noticed a long time ago that Idan had a much more developed mind than she did. She was really shocked by his explanation, realizing that she herself would not have been able to think of many of the nuances that Idan had pointed out.

“Besides, as I mentioned earlier, we have successfully completed the System’s quest to find a way out of this world!” said Idan enthusiastically.
“Eh? How?” — Arabel was perplexed, not quite understanding why Idan was still saying that they had completed this task.
“Oh, Belle, think for a minute, why did the System ask us to choose Nemo as our champion?” continued Idan, and Arabel, frowning, began to ponder his words.
“Yes, Nemo got the key. And this key is the only thing that allows him to leave Limbo. And this is the most important thing!” said Idan with conviction.
“Oh!” — Arabel finally realized.
“Since Nemo is our Champion and is connected to the System, we need him to leave Limbo!” she exclaimed.
“That’s right! Isn’t that right, the System?” asked Idan, combining all the tasks he received into a single whole. He was sure that the System knew a way to help them leave Limbo, and that way was connected to Nemo, their Champion.
[You’re absolutely right, Host!]
[To understand everything, you should know that after the System awakening, all first-generation users could not immediately teleport to another world. Due to the limitations of your world, they needed to form a group of about 100 users to activate teleportation!]
[After teleporting, the users of the System had to complete the awakening tasks, get to know their System and the other world.]
[When each user of the System returned to their world, they set an “Anchor” — the spatial coordinates they needed to return. Without the Anchor, users of the Systems could not teleport back to this world. It is also worth noting that the “Anchor” can only be installed in another world, and not in your native one.]
“Anchor?” asked Arabel.
“Ah, that’s the thing! Nemo is our Anchor, isn’t he?” — finally, Idan understood the point.
[Yes, Host! That’s right!] — confirmed by the System.
[Since the Champion is connected to the System, he is also an Anchor!]
“Does this mean that besides Nemo, we have two more Anchors?” asked Idan.
[Yes. As with the token, each Host has one “Anchor”!]
“Heh!” — Idan said with a smile and, turning to Arabel, met her gaze. She immediately understood what he was thinking.
“We have to leave one Anchor here!” said Arabel, and Idan nodded in agreement with her.
After passing the trial, Nemo became the owner of his own territory — an entire Forbidden Zone, as well as loyal subjects — the inhabitants of this zone, including Geminia.
And being their champion, doesn’t what belong to Nemo also become their property?
Wouldn’t this Forbidden Zone be their safe haven in this world?
