Chapter 854: Are You Forgetting That I’m One Of Your Major Sponsors? [Part 1]
A week after Thirteen returned to the Leventis Residence…
“Is he still not out?” Arthur asked impatiently.
“No, Father,” Alessia replied. “Zion said he needs to focus on something very important and that he’ll only come out when it’s done. He already brought enough food and water to the laboratory, so I’m sure he won’t have problems for two weeks.”
Arthur clicked his tongue. “What’s that brat working on anyway? I need to talk to him about something important.”
Gerald, who was ignoring his father, watched TV with Rhia, who was sitting on his lap.
Remi, on the other hand, was in the kitchen, preparing some tea for her grandfather.
“Father, let’s just wait until my nephew comes out,” Michael commented. “The Grand Marshal won’t agree to our proposal unless Zion approves of it.”
Arthur angrily scratched his head out of frustration. When his no-good grandson revealed that Shana had become his fiancee, it gave Arthur an excuse to work with the Central Government on confidential matters.
He had already been dealing with Lawrence and Tristan ever since their joint campaign in the Rigel Continent succeeded.
Both parties also benefited greatly from the mineral and ore mines that were now under the control of the Dvalinn Federation, the Central Government, and the Leventis Family.
The Jinns, especially the Earth Dragons, kept their words and reigned in their subordinates.
Because of this, the Wanderers and the Jinns had formed a delicate balance in the Rigel Continent, entering a non-aggression pact under Zion’s lead.
However, Arthur wished for more in-depth collaboration, so he was willing to share some confidential files and research of the Leventis Family in exchange for something similar in the Central Government.
He proposed that, by doing so, their alliance would only become stronger since both parties would benefit from it.
However, there was still a vast difference between the Leventis Family and the Central Government.
The Central Government possessed the strongest army in Pangea.
They also had bases in every Continent and every city of the world that were not under the Jinn’s sphere of influence.
Their leader was also a Monarch, which meant that in terms of power and influence, the Leventis Family fell far too short.
Arthur was reluctant to admit it, but if this cooperation followed through, the one who would profit the most would be the Leventis Family.
Truth be told, Lawrence and Tristan didn’t mind agreeing to Arthur’s demand.
Unfortunately, his no-good grandson had asked the two decision-makers of the Central Government to gatekeep the core secrets and confidential information of the Military from his grandfather.
Thirteen knew how ambitious his Grandfather was.
While ambition was good, the process must still be followed, or else, this power would lead to corruption, and thus result in ruin.
Of course, Arthur didn’t know that his no-good grandson was the real reason why the Grand Marshal and the Field Marshal weren’t fully cooperating with him.
If he only knew, he would have smacked Zion’s bum repeatedly and made sure that the latter wouldn’t be able to stand for making him face hardships!
The Patriarch of the Leventis Family was tempted to break down the door of Zion’s laboratory and enter it using brute force.
But he didn’t dare to do such a thing.
After the battle in the Arcadia Archipelago, he realized that Zion’s “friends” were no ordinary beings.
A Majin Prince, a Majin Princess, and a Honey Badger who stepped into the Rank of an Archon were beings he didn’t dare to antagonize.
He feared that if he annoyed his grandson, Zion would burn bridges with their family and ask his friends to obliterate Arthur’s territory in Solterra.

If that really happened, the one who would have endless regrets was him.
“Very well. Tell me as soon as possible when he comes out,” Arthur, who had already been visiting his son’s house almost every day sighed for the umpteenth time. “No. Tell him to meet me as soon as possible because I have something important to discuss.”
“Yes, Father,” Alessia replied. “I’ll inform you as soon as Zion is out of his seclusion.”
Arthur nodded before leaving the house with a disappointed look on his face.
Michael glanced at Gerald, who didn’t give a damn to their father, and sighed internally.
Till now, his brother had been stubborn and refused to return to the Main Family, even after getting a special pardon from their father.
Gerald even stated that he didn’t need to join the “Branch Family” and that soon, he would become the Patriarch of the Leventis Family.
Back then, Arthur and Michael treated his words like a joke.
But now, they were starting to feel a little pressure. They believed that as long as Zion supported his father, his claim to become the Family head might not be as far-fetched as they originally thought it would be.
When the two had finally left the house to return to their residence, Gerald finally sighed and glanced at his wife.
“That old man sure is persistent,” Gerald said. “Fortunately, Zion is still not out of his laboratory.”
“I’m still a bit worried about him,” Alessia commented. “Erica and Sherry had called me a few times and asked if Zion was already out. Fortunately, those two girls are very patient and kind. He’s lucky to be engaged to the two of them.”
Gerald nodded. “I just hope he comes out soon. I can’t stand dealing with that old fart whenever he comes to visit.”
Alessia could only smile wryly at her husband’s words.
She knew that deep inside, he also wanted to reconcile with his father. But both of them were prideful, so she believed that, unless Zion intervened, their relationship would remain the same.
Little did the two adults know that Zion wasn’t actually inside his laboratory.
He was currently in the Order of the Apocalypse and had asked Metatron to put him in one of those special rooms, where time moved differently from Pangea.
He asked for a room where a day in Pangea was equivalent to a week inside the Order.
Thirteen understood he couldn’t possibly finish his work within three weeks in Pangea.
Because of this, he needed to go to a place where time was on his side, granting him more days to finish his work.
“So, how is it?” Thirteen asked.
“It’s perfect,” Joshua replied as he flexed his hands. “I feel more powerful than before. I also like the color purple.”
“Heh, you’re a vain man, so purple suits you perfectly,” Thirteen commented. “How about you, Clark? Any problems?”
“No,” Clark replied. “But why am I red?”
“And why am I green?” Vincent complained.
The three teenage boys looked at the green person and smirked at the same time.
“It’s the color that fits you perfectly, that’s why,” Thirteen replied.
“I never saw someone who represented the color green so well.” Clark gave Vincent a thumbs up. “Even I bow down to your ability to give people a green hat. If you could wear a green helmet, it would balance things out.”
“It suits you, so why are you complaining?” Joshua joined, his voice filled with amusement. “There is no one here who can represent the green color better than you.”
“Bastards, the three of you!” Vincent growled. “If ever you guys get some girlfriends, I’ll make sure that both of you will wear a green hat! Ah, I’m not talking about you, Zion. We’re cool!”
Vincent chuckled anxiously the moment he saw the teenage boy pick up a screwdriver.
He was someone who didn’t mind doing the screwing. But getting screwed back?
No, thank you!
The playboy of the Osborn Family didn’t shy away from many things.
However, when it came to Zion, the young man felt helpless. He always felt like he had done the teenage boy wrong in his past life, so he needed to repay the other party in this lifetime.
Because of this, Vincent always listened to Zion’s orders and treated his words and actions more seriously than the rest of his comrades.
