Chapter 860: Is This World Going To Experience Another Calamity?
A week had passed since Thirteen fell into a comatose
“Ugh…” Thirteen groaned as soon as he woke up from his sleep.
A head-splitting headache assaulted his senses, making his face wince due to the pain.
Suddenly, the door of his room opened. Seeing that he was awake and seemed to be in pain, Erica hurried to his side.
“Here, drink this,” Erica said as she helped Zion drink a rejuvenation potion.
The pain he felt slowly subsided as the effect of the potion took place, making him sigh in relief.
“How long have I been unconscious?” Thirteen asked.
“Exactly seven days,” Erica replied. “You really made us worry, Zion. Don’t do that again.”
Thirteen decided to not say anything, knowing he planned to do it again after he recovered.
The power of the Skip God was something that perfectly suited his personality.
Using the power of Skip, he would get the job done five times faster with just a single effort on his part.
It was a very cost-effective method to speed up things, which was the reason why he chose the Skip God as his Patron God in the first place.
It worked extremely well with small-scale production, and the backlash was something that didn’t affect him too much.
It was just that, this time, he did a large-scale Project, pushing him to the limit. Even with the power of the skill Skip, the backlash was still something strong enough to render him unconscious for a week.
If not for the fact that he had been timely fed rejuvenation potions, he might have been knocked out longer.
“Hey, why are you not replying?” Erica, who sensed that her lover was planning to do something reckless once more, felt anxious.
“Don’t worry,” Thirteen replied. “Next time, I’ll probably just be unconscious for three to four days max.”
The corner of the Sorceress’ lips twitched after hearing his reply. In the end, Erica could do nothing but sigh deeply.
She knew that once Zion put his mind to something, nothing would be able to stop him. If she tried to do that, he would simply ask Metatron to take him to some place where she couldn’t find him.
“Fine,” Erica said through gritted teeth. “But will that be the last time you’ll do something like this?”
“For now,” Thirteen answered. “I will do the rest once we get into the Cygni Continent.”
Although she felt conflicted about his reply, Erica understood that Zion didn’t hide anything from her because he trusted her.
“Where is Sherry?” Thirteen inquired.
“I asked her to go back and get more potions from the Leventis Family,” Erica replied. “She’ll return soon.”
Thirteen nodded. “By the way. Did Clark, Joshua, Vincent, or Char appear while I was down for the count?”
“No,” Erica answered. “I didn’t see any of them.”
“I forgot, a week here is only a day in Pangea.”
“It seems that you’re not back to your usual self. Rest for now, okay?”
“Yes, Mom.”
“Mmm.”

Erica laid down beside Zion and pulled his head closer to her chest. She then lightly patted his head and hummed a lullaby.
Perhaps the effect of the Rejuvenation Potion was taking effect or Thirteen was still not fully recovered from the backlash of using his Skip Skill that he fell asleep very easily.
Erica continued to care for him, wishing that he would stop making her worry from time to time.
While this was happening, Camazotz, Kamrusepa, and Paimon were having a secret meeting in the domain that belonged to their Faction.
“I think our group is still not ready,” Camazotz said with a sigh. “What do you think, Kamrusepa?”
The Majin Princess of Prophecy didn’t answer right away. Instead, she looked at Paimon and asked her a question.
“How prepared is your previous group to tackle Metatron’s mission?” Kamrusepa asked.
Since Paimon wasn’t originally part of their group and once belonged to a different faction, she still had knowledge about her former faction’s plans.
“They’re halfway done,” Paimon replied. “Still, I’m not sure if they will be able to complete their plan within two years.”
Kamrusepa nodded before shifting her gaze to the Death Bat, who was calmly waiting for her to answer him.
“Regardless of whether we are ready or not, I believe we will have no choice but to simply do our best,” Kamrusepa stated. “I believe Metatron himself wishes we could have more time to make our preparations.
“He’s always been cautious and wouldn’t mind spending more time until we are all ready to make our move. Clearly, something has happened for him to push us to hasten our preparations.”
Paimon suddenly thought of something, which made her body shudder.
“Wait, I can only think of one reason why he is trying to hasten our preparations,” Paimon stated. “The Barrier might be weakening.”
“Indeed.” Kamrusepa nodded. “I suspected it might be one of the reasons for Metatron’s haste.”
“You mean… the Celestials are finally making their move?” Camazotz’s expression turned grim. “Is this world going to experience another calamity?”
“That’s hard to say,” Kamrusepa commented. “But maybe we can talk to Mammon. He might have an idea of what is happening to the world.”
Kamrusepa had dealt with the Fiend of Greed, Mammon, who had lived in harmony with Jinns and Wanderers alike.
It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that he was a central figure of the world when it came to trade and commerce.
All the Gold Coins circulating in the Major Kingdoms and Empires of Solterra had his brand.
He had single-handedly monopolized the currency used by the world, giving him influence over almost anyone.
This included the Celestials, who had also formed an alliance with the different races of the land.
Since money circulated from one person to the next, Mammon was the first to know a lot of important information.
This made him the ultimate Information Broker between the Fiends, Celestials, and other parties who could pay the price of his services.
“Don’t worry. We have Thirteen in our team,” Paimon said. “You know how smart that brat is. If we let him take command, I’m sure we will be able to surpass the other factions in gaining merit points.”
Camazotz and Kamrusepa smirked at the same time because Paimon was right.
Both of them had chosen to form a Trinity with the teenage boy because they believed in his potential.
This was also the reason why Camazotz and Kamrusepa were always there to support him.
“Let’s have another meeting once Thirteen is awake,” Kamrusepa stated. “Also, Camazotz, you better not mess with the opportunity I gave you. I could have given it to Paimon, but I’ve chosen you because you’ve been with Thirteen longer.”
“Don’t worry, I got this,” Camazotz chuckled. “I’m even looking forward to his reaction once he finds out the surprise we prepared for him.
Kamrusepa smiled faintly because just like Camazotz, she was also looking forward to seeing Thirteen’s reaction once he discovered what the two of them were doing behind the scenes.
Paimon, who had no idea what the two were talking about, pouted and pestered the two of them to spill the beans.
However, Camazotz and Kamrusepa diverted the topic and resumed their talks about the Fiends and the Celestials.
Major powers were starting to make their move, including the Artemians, who had long wished to conquer Solterra and make it their own.
