Chapter 861: A Truce Between Order and Destruction
“It’s only been two days since you regained consciousness, are you sure you want to do this again?” Erica asked.
“The sooner I finish this, the more time I’ll have for you and Sherry,” Thirteen replied. “This is the last push. Also, I’m making something special for you, Shana, my Parents, my Grandparents, my Uncle, and Hans.”
“You will do things normally after this one, right?” Sherry inquired. “No more getting knocked unconscious again, right?”
Thirteen nodded. “Yes. Promise.”
Erica and Sherry exchanged a glance before sighing at the same time. Since this was the last time, they should just accept that their lover wouldn’t allow anyone to stop him.
“Okay,” Erica stood a meter away from her fiance. “Go and do it.”
Thirteen nodded and faced the worktable.
He then pressed his hands together and took a deep breath.
“Skip!”
A moment later, he staggered but Erica was there to catch him.
Sherry, who already knew what to do, helped Zion drink a rejuvenation potion. After that, the two ladies carried him to the bed, where he could rest more comfortably.
Metatron, who was paying close attention to the teenage boy, sighed before looking at the small ornate box in his hand.
Inside the box was a Cultivation Pill, which he planned to give Zion. The pill was called Titan Essence Pill.
Back then, the teenage boy asked Metatron if he had this kind of pill inside the Treasury of the Apocalypse.
The God of the Apocalypse had answered yes back then.
However, this pill could only be obtained by those who had unlocked the 7th Layer of the Treasury.
Even Kamrusepa, who had the highest achievements in the order, only managed to open the 6th Layer of the Treasury.
Her current contribution was still not enough to open the next layer, which would give her access to more powerful treasures that the God of the Apocalypse kept for his members.
Thirteen had several restrictions inside his body, but all of these could be overcome by using loopholes.
One of these loopholes was to learn different Job Classes, which would give Thirteen the ability to stack skills inside his body, making him a jack of all trades.
Although he wouldn’t be able to use these skills, the mastery of each class would drastically increase his strength.
Metatron had a way to allow the young man to achieve all of this, but Laplace Demon and The One talked Zion out of it.
In return, they allowed him to use Cultivation as a means to increase his physical strength and prowess.
This was also why Thirteen diligently improved his base strength. As long as he was prepared, the moment he took the Titan Essence Pill, his strength would drastically increase.
Metatron assumed that the Titan Essence Pill was enough to make the teenage boy’s strength jump to that of a Grandmaster.
Although his Rank was still of a Rookie, his strength was already equivalent to a Master Rank.
“Stopping his growth is like stopping the torrent of a raging river with a dam,” Metatron muttered. “However, the moment that dam breaks, everyone on his path would be drowned by his wrath.”
Although he wanted Thirteen to become powerful as well, Metatron understood that the System of Cannon Fodders posed a threat not only to Solterra and Pangea but also to the Celestial Realm as a whole.
‘He has too much hatred in his heart,’ Metatron thought. ‘Fortunately, he now has Erica, Sherry, and Shana to help tame and pacify his cold, vengeful tendencies.’
Metatron couldn’t help but shake his head helplessly.

The person who could bring a change to the world could also herald its destruction.
‘I’ll wait until he has his revenge,’ Metatron thought. ‘By then, his anger would have already died down considerably.’
The God of the Apocalypse wished to break one of the chains that bound the teenage boy.
Whether it be Rank Ban, Item Ban, Avatar Ban, or Skill Ban, he would let the young man choose which one he wished to unlock.
The world would have a dramatic change after two years, and he could no longer allow Thirteen to fight with just his current abilities.
‘The Order of the Apocalypse will make its presence known after two years,’ Metatron mused. ‘And since he is the 13th member, he needs to have the ability to protect himself.’
Metatron gave Thirteen one last glance before he shifted his attention to the uninvited guest, who barged inside his Domain.
“I believe I didn’t give you an invitation, you little rabbit,’ Metatron stated. “What are you doing here?”
“I bring news about Artem,” Laplace Demon replied.
“And why should I care?” Metatron arched an eyebrow. “As far as I can see it, isn’t this your problem? You and The One should just gather some Heroes to deal with it. That’s your job, right?”
“Right.” Laplace Demon nodded. “But we’re also dealing with something else. Some development is happening in Gomorra, and they are trying to break through to Pangea through illegal channels.”
“Illegal channels?” Metatron arched an eyebrow. “What illegal channels?”
“I’m sure you already know, but the barrier is weakening,” Laplace Demon stated. “At most, we have two years. By then, Artem, Gomorra, and the Forbidden Lands will use this opportunity to send their forces en masse.
“Even now, we are constantly blocking the Forbidden Lands and Gomorra from attempting something that breaks the rules.”
Metatron raised his hand to stop Laplace Demon from talking.
“Stop talking in circles,” Metatron said impatiently. “What are they doing?”
“Opening Dimensional Gates, but instead of invading, they would forcefully drag the people of Pangea inside their Domain. However, the chilling part is that they’re not targeting the strong people of the world.
“They are targeting the weak and defenseless children who still haven’t experienced their First Wandering.”
A frown appeared on Metatron’s face, but it didn’t last for long.
“And what does that have to do with me?” Metatron asked. “I couldn’t care less if Pangea gets destroyed, you know?”
“That might have been true in the past.” Laplace Demon nodded. “But it’s different now, right?”
Metatron narrowed his eyes. “So?”
“We also need Thirteen’s help, so don’t monopolize him,” Laplace Demon declared.
“And what makes you think he likes being your errand boy?” Metatron sneered. “Thirteen’s goal is my goal. We share the same principles. He’s better off being with me than useless fools like you and The One. Two incompetents who can only watch as the worlds under your jurisdiction get destroyed.”
“What you say is true, but you still can’t have him,” Laplace Demon stated.
“Are you declaring war against me?” Metatron asked in disdain. “Because if yes, I am more than happy to accept it. Should we start now?”
“We didn’t come here to ask for war.”
A voice spread inside the Order, making Metatron snort.
The Majin Princes and Princesses, who were currently within the Domain of the Apocalypse, shuddered when The One made his presence known.
Metatron scoffed before waving his hand.
The influence that The One had released vanished without a trace.
“You didn’t come for war, and yet you came barging uninvited.” Metatron snorted. “You make demands that you need Zion, but you’re constantly limiting his growth.
“Are both of you idiots? If you really want him to help you, shouldn’t the two of you be giving him more benefits than the ones you gave him in the past? For example, breaking one of his shackles? If you do that, I’m sure that he will be more than happy to cooperate.”
The One shone brighter than ever before, but Metatron didn’t give a hoot. He even glared at the radiant sun above his head as if daring it to come fight him one-on-one.
“We didn’t come here to fight. We came here for a truce,” The One said calmly. “Let us not antagonize each other for two years. In exchange, I will allow you to go to that place.”
This time, Metatron’s expression softened a bit. “You should have said that in the first place. Very well, two years of truce. I will not interfere with your affairs, and you will not interfere with my affairs.”
“And we need Thirteen’s help too,” The One stated. “That’s part of the condition for me to allow you access to that place.”
“Do I look like his nanny to you?” Metatron asked in contempt. “If you want his help, you go and ask him for help. It’s up to him whether he wants to listen to you guys or not.”
Laplace Demon nodded and tossed a token to Metatron, which the latter caught without batting an eye.
The God of the Apocalypse looked at the insignia embedded in the token before nodding in satisfaction.
“You can leave now,” Metatron said without even bothering to look at the two beings who came to his home uninvited. “See you again in two years.”
Laplace Demon glanced at the place where Zion was currently resting before disappearing from the Domain of the Apocalypse.
The One also pulled back because they had already achieved what they came to do.
As much as they didn’t want to interact with Metatron, both of them had no choice in the matter.
Their hands were tied, so they didn’t have the strength to deal with the Order of the Apocalypse while the barrier of Pangea and Solterra were on the verge of collapse.
The Wanderers of both worlds weren’t aware that hidden battles in places where they couldn’t see had started in full.
The Celestials and Fiends of Solterra were starting to wake up one by one from their slumber in preparation for a Calamity that would change both worlds forever.
