Chapter 884: I Don’t Like Taking Things For Free
‘May the best team win, huh?’
An amused look appeared on Colbert’s face after he saw Roland’s declaration.
He was Thirteen’s third-in-command and was well aware of what his Young Master was thinking.
Zion wanted to let the Hero Party lead a punitive force heading northeast. Meanwhile, their team would attack the southeast, tearing across the Jinn Armies in their wake.
As for the members of the Monarch Clans and the Prestigious Families, who would soon arrive after Zion’s public taunting, the teenage boy intended for them to attack eastward.
This way, there would be three powerful armies serving as spears that pierced through the enemy ranks, killing the bulk of their army.
With Arthur also joining Thirteen’s team, the other Thrones of the Cygni Continent were also forced to make an appearance soon.
Everyone would be competing on who could eliminate more monsters in the span of three months before the High-Tier Gates fully opened.
Eliminating hordes of monsters would also forcefully close the Dimensional Gates where they came from.
This would prevent more reinforcements from coming, which would be beneficial in the long run.
Unattended Dimensional Gates could potentially evolve and increase in rank, which would allow stronger monsters to cross over to the Cygni Continent.
Thirteen wanted to destroy as many of these gates as early as possible, significantly trimming off the low-ranking monsters that would only serve as cannon fodders for the main fighting force of the Jinn army.
“Is it possible to cut off Erica’s message?” Thirteen asked someone through his smartphone. “The interview part wasn’t broadcasted live but only a recording? Good. Please cut Erica’s message. I don’t want our subscriptions to go down because of her.
“As for the rest, let it stay as it is. Highlight Roland’s and Shana’s interviews. Those are the only interviews that matter. Yes, cut off Derek’s interview as well. That guy is just bragging, probably hoping to impress some girls.
“Also, make sure to delete the part where Joshua is not fighting. I’ll talk to him later, but make sure the viewers see him in a good light.”
Thirteen said a few more reminders to Natasha, who was on the other side of the phone.
After he was finished with his business, the teenage boy looked at the map on top of his table.
“Call Gramps and the other Captains,” Thirteen ordered. “We will discuss our next course of action.”
Thirty minutes later, everyone gathered at the conference room inside Runestone City.
“We will leave in two days after we finish our re-supply,” Thirteen stated. “We will also be moving toward this area of the map between Runestone City and Terracotta City.
“We’ve got an insect nest swarming with Blister and Bombardier Beetles. Estimatedly, there are tens of thousands of them. Most of these bugs can self-destruct, and if they get too close, they’ll take a lot of our men with them. I plan to eliminate them before they cause real damage to the people.”
Thirteen then glanced at the Captains, who all had solemn expressions on their faces. Clearly, they felt that raiding such a dangerous place was a very reckless thing to do.
“The weakest of these beetles are Rank 2 Monsters,” Thirteen stated. “I already told you how many of them are there. Imagine looting as many of those cores as possible. Most importantly, you don’t need to surrender them to the Cygni Coalition. You can keep everything in your pockets.”
The faces of the Squad Captains changed a bit after hearing Zion’s reply.
This was especially true for the Captains who arrived on the battlefield and were asked to participate in the collection of the cores.
Although they were awkward at first, the mere volume of the Cores they got from that expedition earned them a decent sum, which they could send to their families who were currently in the Sirius Continent.
“But wouldn’t that be dangerous?” the Commander of Runestone City asked.
“Dangerous?” Thirteen smirked. “For other people, maybe. But not me. After all, my Grandfather will be participating in this raid as well. This means, as long as everyone listens to my orders, none of you are in any life-threatening danger.”
“Is that really possible?” another Captain asked. “Will we really not face any danger?”
“What a funny question,” Thirteen replied. “Of course, there will be danger. But like I said, as long as all of you listen to my orders, none of you will die. Some might get injured, but as long as you don’t die, any injuries can be healed.”

The Captains exchanged glances with each other, still hesitating to commit to the upcoming raid.
“I will participate in this raid,” one of the Captains who profited from picking free beast cores after the wolf army subjugation stated. “I don’t like taking things for free, so I will repay you this one time.”
“I’ll go as well,” another Captain, who had done the same thing earlier stated. “I don’t want to owe a debt to others.”
Nick, who had followed Zion since he arrived in the Cygni Continent, was now one of his believers.
Despite the fact that he was mainly around to monitor the teenage boy’s movements, he no longer felt anxious about following his orders, even if they ventured into the heart of the Jinn Army.
After a short discussion, three Squad Captains from Runestone City and Nick’s forces would be joining his expedition.
All in all, their combined manpower reached over two thousand, making them a sizable force.
The Elite Members of the Leventis Family numbered twenty people. However, all of them were Grandmasters, making them an extremely powerful private force under his command.
Hans, who was tasked by Lady Callista to stay by Zion’s side and protect him, was of the Champion Rank.
At least, that was what people originally thought.
The butler of the Leventis Family was very good at keeping secrets, and as one of the people whom Zion trusted, he had benefited a lot from the teenage boy’s escapades.
Two days later, Zion’s team set out to the Insect Nest that gave Sherry’s parents a very hard time.
Both of them were stationed in Terracotta City and barely survived the insect invasion, which just ended a day ago.
They had lost three of their men, and a dozen more were injured during the latest attack by the bugs who could fly over their defenses.
If they didn’t get any reinforcements soon, the Terracotta City might be the first city to fall under the Jinn’s merciless invasion.
